1391695 tn?1298143389 My daughter is a stylist and does my hair and she could notice the thinning but no one at work seemed to notice. She uses only professional products which contained ammonia and peroxide and my hair didn't fall out any faster or become dry and brittle. In my opinion, having my hair done proffesionally kept my hair healthy because we colored only the roots and didn't overlap the color and expose already colored hair to the chemicals.
Avatar m tn DETOXIFYING AMMONIA Ammonia toxicityIn part 2 of AMMONIA TOXICITY we are going to find out what we can do to remove ammonia from our body, both by supporting the organs involved in processing and disposing of it, and by taking supplements with an affinity for removing ammonia. We have seen that there are 3 organ systems in the body that produce and/or deal with ammonia: the liver, the kidneys and the intestines.
Avatar m tn I'm not sure how Copyman can say that ALA is a hoax when he has chosen to take it himself as he stated in a previous thread, only in pill form rather than the intravenous method that Dr. Berkson uses. Same attack methods though, of accusing someone of being a Dr. Berkson "follower" for posting something purely for discussion. Personally, the things I have read about ALA indicate it's something I would take in pill form also. I'm not sure what to think of the intravenous method Dr.
Avatar n tn All those memory and concentration problems sound like classic 'hepatic encephalopathy' and is really quite common since its just a chemical thing--too much ammonia caused 'fuzzy thinking.' Dairy converts to ammonia in the small intestines immediately!
496771 tn?1209698358 This kit is PPD-, resorcinol- and ammonia-free, and uses vegetarian, plant-based dyes to permanently fix color. Also available: color protecting shampoo and conditioner, and semi-permanent tinting kits. You can find reviews all over that confirm its SAFE. I have done months of research trying o find a safe hairdye & this is the first i have know. I have found people who are severly allergic to PPD & has used this with no reaction at all.
Avatar f tn I may not always agree with him but I often find that the site provides living breathing and anectdotal accounts of what happens to (some) people who suffer some of the black box warnings which are prominently displayed on the containers in which TX dosing is supplied. We understand things differently when we read the warnings than from when we read about (once again "anectdotal") accounts where people suffered serious sides from those drugs.
Avatar f tn I did find an interesting website that talked about a process I might consider doing, if I don't have a reaction to it that uses things that most people already have in their homes and can do themselves. It is very temporary, but it is a much more natural process for a "red" hair dye than anything else I've ever heard called natural.
Avatar m tn DON'T DO ANYTHING UNTIL YOU READ THESE The same pustulence that causes your sinuses to be infected can also get into other places in your head. Heed these warnings and it won’t. WHENEVER YOU BLOW SNOT AND PHLEGM AND PUS OUT OF YOUR NOSE, ALWAYS BLOW IT OUT ONE NOSTRIL ONLY. Press the other nostril closed with your finger. IF YOU DO OTHERWISE, YOU CAN BLOW THE INFECTION INTO YOUR EARS OR THE PART OF YOUR NOSE WHERE YOUR SENSE OF SMELL IS. NEVER BLOW YOUR NOSE AS HARD AS YOU CAN.
211940 tn?1267884866 I'm with you smgkim .And I too wish someone had better news. But here's my story. It's sorta long but am wondering if any previous conditions tie into this one. I am a 56 yr young female. Who is a Christian and loves the Lord. Before all this occurred and even after some what enjoyed living, traveling, dancing, gardening, being with friends and family to the fullest. But now I do as much as I can do.
Avatar f tn T want ordering you rescue drugs with black box warnings. These drugs have to be used exactly and even then possess an element of danger. Probably a moot point; I doubt rescue drugs will be offered.
