Ammonia refrigeration plant

Common Questions and Answers about Ammonia refrigeration plant

Avatar n tn I work at a poultry plant in refrigeration. I work with ammonia. Because I am a smoker the doctors said it was smoking related. I was off work about 2 months and I was quitting smoking and I got better. I returned to work February 1, 2011. Now my trouble breathing and shortness of breathe and cough has returned. I am also having alot of pain and tightness in my chest and a burning sensation. I am wondering if the ammonia can cause this disease?
Avatar m tn Thank you for this detailed reply, Niko! Interesting information. My ft3 and ft4 are within the range, could this still mean I am not converting in enough T3? I did try Thybon for a while to experiment if I felt better (not stomach wise though, mentally mostly) but my levels shot up the roof and I was overdosed. That was back in 2010 and a lot has changed sicne then so I generally feel a lot more balanced. Anyway, as for Vit B 12 and Vit D: not deficient.
Avatar m tn Some people, including myself, have had a smell that only they can smell. It could smell like dog-poop, old cheese, ammonia, a burning smell, etc. The smell comes on, often, as a result of a cold or sinus infection. Some, not all, of these smells are caused by an anaerobic bacteria thriving in the upper sinuses, and I was able to remove mine with a Flip-Turn Sinus Flush, and many other people have had success with it as well.
