Avatar n tn If so, how? What exact diagnostic procedures are used and is it a relatively easy diagnosis?
Avatar n tn I am repeatedly asked for referrals to physicians who perform "pro bono" procedures. I am unaware of any who voluntarily do this. As I have stated to others asking the same question, even if a surgeon were willing to perform these procedures at no cost, there are still substantial fees for operating room, anesthesia and hospitalization costs that would be needed. The suggestion of seeking a university teaching hospital with a plastic program would likely be you best alternative.
Avatar m tn You have a malpractice issue. The comment that the more of the same procedures a surgeon does, the better they are at it goes for all surgeries. You expect the hospital to lie or with-hold information. Probably, to get anything, you will need a subpoena duces tecum. Actually several of them. Time is running out. You need a record of what happened in the operating room. Who was there and who did what. Were there any observers? Who were they and why were they there? Was the procedure videotaped?
Avatar n tn e. operating rather than supervising others operating -- and I intend to ask that anyone assisting with "significant surgical tasks" have significant prior experience in the procedure (i.e. no newbies). I know my attitude's ironic, but -- anyway: do you see these as achievable and reasonable requests? Thanks.
Avatar m tn During the procedure, doctors used once-off medical equipments. There were covers on the surface of the handles of operating-lamp and dental handpiece. My concern is, before my procedures, the doctors used their hands(with new gloves) to connect the new once-off medical equipments to dental handpiece and they adjusted the operating-lamp with hands during the procedure, but the covers on the handle of the operating-lamp and handpiece haven't been changed before my procedure.
Avatar f tn No, fish oil needs no refrigeration if it's in gel caps. It's the flax seed oil that needs the refrigeration.
801034 tn?1237732523 Can you give me some more specific details on which procedures you're getting on which body part and for what reason? Thanks.
Avatar m tn My brother's heart is only operating at 10% and he needs a transplant (1) how long can a personal survive with only 10% and what are the procedures for getting a transplant? I know you basically have to wait to see if someone dies and if they are a donor?
Avatar n tn I appreciate your response, but please don't make it sound like I'm throwing the guy under the bus (condemn; firing squad?). I was just looking for someone more knowledgeable than I am who knows something about the "standard operating procedures" for physical exams. Judging from the patients in the waiting room, he couldn't have been that busy, and I certainly wouldn't cut him any slack for a reason like that...not after waiting close to a year for an appt.
Avatar n tn Hi there, Tammy is right. But, specifically the guidance says "Room temperature storage up to 30 days, if refrigeration is unavailable" Note: if refrigeration is unavailable Personally, I feel this does not include varying room temperatures and I would not advise anyone to leave it out in hi (hot) temperatures. But, that's my personal opinion. Would only feel comfortable to do something like that if I knew the temperatures at which the forumula/medicine would change.
Avatar m tn I wonder if any of our members have had experience with travel to Qatar? Be sure to look into the small bags made for carrying drugs that need refrigeration. I had some that were quite compact and only required soaking in water a short time to activate whatever made them cold. They would stay cold at least 24 hours, and were reusable, but I don't remember what they were called. The pharmacy could probably tell you. Good luck!
10064121 tn?1415176073 The lactation specialist at my hospital said it's good for 12 hours no refrigeration. 36 hours refrigeration. 1 month in the door of a normal freezer. 3 months in a deep freeze.
Avatar f tn After refrigeration, if my baby does not finish all the breastmilk, how long is it good for at room temp???
219241 tn?1413537765 s FDA) say that it should be refrigerated too. Australia is the only country to decide that refrigeration is the best way to store under 25 C. (77 F) There are many arguments about whether this correct. It is a hormone, a very sensitive one so it makes sense to me. I know that we are about to get 'blister packs' which will be much better for dispersing and avoiding condensation problems from in and out of fridge, and contamination from handling.
Avatar n tn I just developed random pain 3 weeks ago. I went to the neurologist who diagnosed me with TN. In researching treatment options and talking with the Dr, medication seems to be the first line of defense. However, in reading about the meds I am more fearful of them than I would be of having surgery. I am wondering if I could just skip the medication route and go for MVD right upfront?
Avatar n tn There is a slight advantage to Pegasys (alfa-2a) The Pegasys needs refrigeration.
Avatar f tn t know the details, but it is past the operating stage. My parents live in Jordan and they have just returned from a trip to Israel to see a doctor. Now my father is going to get treatment of I think Chemo pills in Jordan. I am very skeptical, and correct me if I am wrong, but (financial obstacles aside) would it not improve all chances considerably if my Father were to go to somewhere more advanced like Mayo Clinic or any of the top rated Clinics around the world to get treated there?
Avatar f tn Hi there.. ofcourse you can enrol..! I'm a nurse & I am a hepa carrier. Just got a job, too..The nurse who checked my blood tests results even told me that I can work as a nurse, but, if you're an operating nurse you should change your specialty because you will be dealing with invasive procedures and you will have work restrictions, might as well practice nursing where you will not make the patients at risk..
Avatar f tn I'm 6 weeks pregnant and I work in a paint department. I mix colors and clean up paint pretty much. Since I've worked there we have always used glass cleaner to clean the paint off the desk and our hands. I didnt know this until today but the cleaner we use has ammonia in it. I've been using it every day for a few months to get the paint off of my hands. Could it have hurt my baby?
Avatar n tn We discovered that my husband had an episode of Encephalopathy, which is high ammonia in the blood. But by the time we had his blood checked his levels were right smack in the middle of the range. Doctor said he was fine. So my question is can this ammonia gone untreated continue to rise and lower on its own. Because he has days that he seems fine and then days when he is not with me completely. He does not eat much as his taste buds are totally out of wack. Most foods taste very salty.
Avatar f tn I recently found out I had high ammonia, it was 66, I am taking lactalose and it is is now normal. All my blood work is within normal ranges on my liver function test and I also had a sonogram, have a mild fatty liver. Was wondering what could have caused this. I do drink a few beers a night.
