Since I've worked there we have always used glass cleaner to clean the paint off the desk and our hands. I didnt know this until today but the cleaner we use has ammonia in it. I've been using it every day for a few months to get the paint off of my hands. Could it have hurt my baby?

The vet who was talking to the couple and she went into the room where the catboxes were, and commented on the smell, and she had handheld meter that she set down on the floor. It measured ammonia in the air. OSHA has limits of something like 25 ppm for people working in industry, apparently over that amount of ammonia in the air is bad for the lungs. As they were talking, the meter went over 25, then over 40, then over 60, then I think it stopped in the 70s or 80s.
It started last year on holiday. The air conditioning was giving me terrible leg and arms pains. Like a right and numb pain- as if my blood pressure was being constantly checked. This has happened since on the odd occasion I am near cold air in the summer.
Since then I have had tingles in my back shoulders and arms when I wear tight clothes or the air conditioning is on.
Now it is winter and as it has got colder I have experienced pains in my arms- the same pains.

Garnier is prly one of the better ones it's ammonia free or at heart they make an ammonia free one :-) but yes open bathroom window leave door open and your fine :-)

s worse in the cold or air conditioning, great in the heat. My doctor has tried an inahaler, azithromycin, prednisone, claritin, prilosec & even a chest x-ray (which came back normal). I really don't have any other symptoms except it occasionally hurts to swallow (more on the right side of my throat) and I also have some drainage from my head and down my throat. Thanks!

s too soon to be showing symptoms but this morning I woke up with a sore throat. I think it may be due to the air conditioning in my bedroom as I have got similar sore throats in the past when staying in hotels but because of my encounter a few nights ago I am concerned. As of now I have no other symptoms. Please can you help me?
My wife has COPD and we live in florida, cold weather seems to worsen her condition yet living in this area withouth aird conditioning is impossible. We come from New England and the cold weather there also bothers her terribly.
Is there any specific thing we can do including relocation to help her condition? When the air conditioner is on I can get the humidity down to 40% at 71 degrees, but when she steps outside into the 90 degree 70% humidity or vise versa she has a most difficult time.
Ammonia-free dye is ok I believe. It's the ammonia mommys to be have to avoid from what I've read!

I was doing hot yoga for several weeks one or two times a week for a month and ended up with extreme pain while breathing. I thought it was my kidneys but my urine was fine.
