He was advised to increase the lactulose to 30 ml twice a day for 5 days and then resume back to 15 ml twice a day. Is there any other medication for elevated ammonia? If not then some bacteria can be positve for LE without the nitrate being positive. Do you have symptoms of a UTI? Usually, that is bad burning when you urinate and discomfort and frequent urge to urinate. Sometimes you can get kidney pain too. They should have done a culture to check. If they didn't I would ask them why and see what they say. If your culture is negative you don't have a UTI. It may be something else.

I would not think that was it. It takes prolonged exposure to silver nitrate to do damage to the skin, and the nerves related to the clitoris are not right at the cervix. If you do think this is what happened, consult another doctor.
