10623623 tn?1414292089 So I've posted about how I'm coming off norco and Ambien. My rehab doctor has me on Doxepin for sleep. It is a non habit forming, non controlled medication. I believe it has anti depressant qualities. I am wondering why no one uses this and very few docs prescribe it. It works great. Even after all that Ambien I used to take. Thoughts?
1428440 tn?1287390379 Its the Ambien 100% your fine.Tell your Family when the results come back false, that they should have your back. Its hard enough getting clean, but doing it with Family not 100% behind you hinders not helps. You are ok.
10623623 tn?1414292089 Please explain your comment. I would love to talk with someone who has come off of Ambien, but I am confused by your response.
10623623 tn?1414292089 Is it normal to still experience PAWS with suboxone. I have found that I am still very much dealing with the mental side of withdrawal although the sub has taken away the physical part. But I still feel very much like using. I still have very bad cravings. I am still really, really depressed and anxious. Is this normal. The dosage of suboxone I am on is 2mg/8mg naloxone and bup. I was using upwards of 10 hydrocodone 10 mg a day and 6-9 Ambien 10 mg each evening.
Avatar n tn also, otr stuff diphenhydramine (benedryl) 50 mg or doxyclamine (umisom) 25-50 mg. mixed with the ambien will have an additive effect.Maybe taking it with a glass of wine might help also. Make sure your room is dark, you should put black tape ove those little lights on your tv vcr radio clock. maybe a little loft music on low volume, but try to eliminate any other noise.
Avatar m tn You can't take Xanax with it because they are both respitory depressants and you COULD die if you mix respitory despressants i am not saying you will die but you could. Just call your doctor. I WOULD HIGHLY SUGGEST YOU ASK A DOCTOR RATHER THAN A FORUM. THE ONLY REASON I KNOW THEY ARE BOTH RESPITORY DEPRESSANTS IS FROM HEATH LEDGER'S the actor WHO JUST DIED.
Avatar n tn I think suboxone is giving me depression severe. I am 23 years old and when I was 17 got on oxycontin for reacreation by my cousin and best friend who was shot in a hunting accident when he was 15, and we are the same age.
Avatar m tn I totally agree with Tommmm.. Be very careful with the suboxone or any other opiates. I have never suffered depression but got hit with a huge, almost debilitating bout of depression when quitting suboxone. Thankfully, I was able to pull out of it, but I am sure that if it could create depression for me, it can make it much worse for someone who truly does suffer from it. Keep trying different non opiate medications.
Avatar f tn Yes, I was prescribed ambien from my addiction doc and their is not contraindication according to her. This didn't work for me as I took ambien a long time while addicted to opiates. I amnoe presribed Rozazem 8mg. Not helping me either. My tolerance to benzos and opiated are really high! Try the ambien 12.5 time released and by God, don't chew them or they def will not work long.
Avatar m tn All they have to do is attend an 8hr class on suboxone and they become certified. I think with that being the only requirement that it may contribute to many of the negative experiences people report of. Whether it's being started on too high of a dose or staying on it for too long. Really you need to taper whatever your drug of choice is down to lowest required dose then swithch over and should be no need to start any higher than 16mgs.
Avatar f tn U can take subutex or suboxone they will help with withdrawls i take it and it DOES indeed help with wothdrawls hope that helps....
410221 tn?1227631837 There are alot of people right here on mehelp that post almost everyday that can inform you on the details of their suboxone experiences. People use suboxone for many many different reasons.. See my post on the suboxone confusion for more details on that.. Also suboxone should not just be lumped into the catagory along with methadone either. Methadone is just a pure narcotic that is very addictive and has horrible withdrawls due in part to the half-life..
Avatar m tn Hey everyone, today is day 8 with no suboxone and day 25 no pills. After my first 5 day of sub I was down to 2 mgs and weened down to .125 mg total sub usage was 17 days. For the last 20 days I've had problems sleeping the doctor gave me ambien cr and I've taken it to help sleep because I've worked all through this. So I've been taking melatonin and valerian root to sleep naturally. It helps me go down then after 1-2 hours I'm up!
Avatar m tn t have a choice i went into the office one month and he was like hey your done with suboxone well unless i can come up with the 150 just to talk to him in his office...
Avatar f tn There are meds that will help with withdrawl symptoms (Suboxone, etc). There is no reason to have severe withdrawals. If you are tapering and you are going thru severe anxiety, ask your doc for something to help with the anxiety. The anxiety is normal. You seem to be physically and mentally addicted, which is hard. You can do it though. My ex-husband did it cold-turkey, and he thought he was in withdrawal for many months after, and he wasn't. He was just craving the pain meds.
Avatar m tn Once again after 2 years I did not think they were not doing much good and wanted to get off. Suboxone to the rescue. It was easy to get off the ms contin. I started with 3 8mgs per day about a year back. Two months later I realized that 2 a day worked just fine. Also, somewhere along the way (insurance I think) I started getting Buprenorphine (no naloxone). Another 2 months I went to one per day with no problems.
Avatar f tn but the hospital didnt have suboxone doctors working on the weekend so i had to wait,, let me tell you even with 1mg of lorazepam given every hour and lots of other anti-withdrawling drugs it felt like three long years and was still horribly hard to do..
Avatar f tn Recently I switched from taking a half of a strip to just a quarter of one, so I was taking 2mg a day for the last few weeks. When my suboxone ran out I decided to give it a go and quit altogether, I was sick of suboxone controlling my life. At 8pm tonight it will be 4 full days that I have been off suboxone. The withdrawal has been hell, chills and cold sweats. Sleeplessness and restless legs being the absolute worst of the symptoms now that the diarrhea has finally passed.
Avatar f tn I think I am pregnant and I take suboxone everyday along with xanax and ambien can I hurt the baby...I dont want to hurt the baby so what do I do?
725637 tn?1251685382 usually the doctor will prescribe suboxone on the first visit but you are required to return every week or two to begin with. also suboxone is very expensive anywhere from $700 to $900 a month and alot of insurances wont pay for it. From my understanding you have to be in full blown withdraw before starting the suboxone but vicodins have a short half life so usually the next day after you have taken the last one. What are your in law going to do if any thing about the stolen money?
Avatar f tn Once he gets down that, he should be at the end of the 21 days and he should be able to stop with minimal discomfort. The Clonidine will help with any withdrawal symptoms he may have once he completely stops the suboxone.
Avatar f tn Even last week when I had to take ambien I did not sleep through the night.I flushed the ambien last week and regreted it every night when I slept only a couple hours a night.Last night I went to bed at 10pm and slept til 7 and did not wake up once!!! I honstly did not think that would happen again..I know I will still have bad nights but I now know it does get better!! 23 days clean too.. So to all the newbies just keep hanging on it gets so much better..
Avatar n tn by the way, i forgot to mention that i do not think you can even feel 3 mgs of methadone. I did not take it for 3 days now and i feel the same with it or without, but i am taking my ambien and darvon n. anyone else ever been all the way down to 3 mgs? Seems senseless to spend $200 a month for less than 100 mgs, but what the hey...
Avatar f tn Welcome. I was on suboxone long term and have successfully quit suboxone. I wont say its easy as for many of us it was NOT but you definitely can successfully quit taking suboxone. There is a lot of good info on here (See Health Pages). I think the most important thing is to taper taper taper. 8mgs is too much to jump from. You should literally taper down to 1mg, then .5 then crumbs and shavings. You can cut a 2mg tab using a razor when you get there.
Avatar m tn m back on my Vics and beginning to plan a taper, however, the last time I went through detox I know that Xanax helped with my anxiety and Ambien did help with my sleep. I have heard all the Thomas Recipes suggestions but I just felt that after being a heavy opiate user and going c/t they just did nothing to help me. I wish they did. Obviously I would try the Thomas recipe suggestions first, as you don't want to get hooked on Xanax or Ambien and just basically swap addictions.
