Well, having now quit Ambien for your sleeplessness, how are you feeling? Since how many years were you on Ambien. Some of the adverse reactions of Ambien are loss of memory, problems in thinking, daytime sleepiness, headache, vomiting with nausea and sometimes dizziness. This severity can be variable in different individuals and not every one may have it, however it is better for you to consult your attending doctor who prescribed the drug to seek advice.

Can any one tell me the proper way to ween off ambien CR12.5 mg and xaxax 0.5 mg 2x a day on and off for about 8 yrs?

I know that I was in the hospital, for kidney stones when I was pregnant with my daughter and one night they asked if I needed help sleeping and I said yes and they gave me Ambien....I didn't think about it until after I had taken it and I was like what?! a sleep-aid?! and then I was asleep and didn't budge until the next morning, lol. I know of at least 2 other women that were prescribed Ambien during pregnancy for OCCASIONAL sleepless nights...maybe you could look into that?

Hello again everyone! Boy it has been a very long day for me. I woke up yesterday morning a little after seven a.m. and have been awake since...unable to sleep. I have been off the Oxy's for almost a full well but ran out of my Ambien on Saturday. I am thinking the new insomnia has more to do with the Ambien than the Oxy's. I was taking 1 sometimes 2 Ambien a night to fall asleep....

I truly wanted to make a change, I was losing alot of my top teeth due to acid from vomiting. At the time I was vomiting I didnt care one iota about my teeth. They were in my mouth and doing just fine. It wasnt until they started having to be pulled that I put the brakes on vomiting. I still have relapses on my other addictions, but I can honestly say that the ED was an easier behavior to change. I wish you the best. I had to chime in when I read your post.

My wife and another female relative have taken Ambien (generic) for years, and it still seems to work/help. I do not know what the W/D part of your subject is about.

So i got a new Rolling Stone magazine - yeah - just an old hippie ----- but the article in it was concerning ambien.....apparently a new craze is to take an ambien with a couple red bulls to override the sleep effect.....only you need some friends around to tell you what you did while buzzed? Not sure I want anyone to tell me what I might do in that state.........I already have some non - red bull ambien stories...............

my husband was able to quit them with no side effects after years of use (he doubled up whether it was ambien or lunesta) but do not take that as a sign that would happen for you since my husband was very ill and if he did have some withdrawal symptoms he may not have noticed because of the symptoms he was getting from chemotherapy. If you were getting them off the street keep checking back...it is early yet so in a few hours more people will be here to talk to you.

I have been in Ambien for a few months now. I am a recovring alcoolic. I have social anxiety disorder, anic disorder, bipolar disorder, and borderline personality disorder. I am taking 60 mg Paxil at night, 15 mg of Buspar 3 times a day, a thyroid pill, Neurontin for back pain, and have tried Trazodone, Remeron, Seroquel, Cymbalta, all of em for slsep. Nada. I can't fall asleep at all but I really, really have to be waken up in almost an ice cold pool of water to wake up.

does anyone think that ambien cr will help with sleep while going through withdrawls???

Also,I have been on ambien 3 or more years now and as my tolerance builts up I need two 10mg ambien to go to sleep and I only get a 3 day supply. I take 2 or more a night and run out 15 days early where I get absolutly no sleep at all. I mean it none. Drs wont perscribe 2 ambien a night and I need to get off of it. I have had chronic insomnia since I was 14 and tried everything and w/o the ambien I get no sleep.

I need to know what I can take that will be safe to go thru this horrendous sick feeling. Today is day 3 and I am vomiting, runs, sweats, irritability, restless, insomnia, sinuses, and headache and all-over muscle pain. It is serious, and I am scared for my unborn. I need something that will curb this so I can sleep! Anyone have to go thru this during a pregnancy.

Coming from someone who took Ambien for 10 years and is now tapering off Tramadol - take it from me, Ambien is SUPER easy to kick. In fact, I quit it CT and don't recall a single discomfort. Of course, everyone is different but I imagine the Ambien would be quite helpful to you right now so don't quit until you're done with the patches.

How do you get through an Ambien withdrawl? I was taking up to 7 a day> shaking,sweating,nausea and my mind feels drunk. R there any non-addictive meds to help the detox?

I've looked up a lot about ambien during pregnancy and I haven't found anything saying you shouldn't take it or that it'll harm the baby. Has anyone spoken to their doctor about ambien? I've had ambien prescription for years and it's really hard for me to sleep. No I'm not addicted, I used to take it only once or twice a week. It wasn't an every day thing. But it gets sooooo hard for me to sleep some nights so I'm wondering if it's safe.

then 30...and so on until its 5 then jump off. I have ambien,rozerem scripts myself but stopped the ambien and made it a once a week or less thing because it can be bad news. You might want to see if the Dr will switch you to say lunesta and see if you can use that while getting off ambien or when you tapered low enough to jump and switch. Good luck.

r u sure it is the ambien? it could be a mixture? all 3 drugs aggravate depression and out of the 3 ambien is categorized as the least addictive of the three drugs u r taking.....i would talk to my doctor and find another alternative for sleep....taking these every night could get u into trouble..have u tried the natural sleep aids like melatonin, valerian, etc?

Does anybody hae any comments about ambien? That stuff is crazy.... when I take it I find myself calling people and having intense conversations but the next day I can't remember anything. I can't even remember going to bed. But if I don't take it I can't fall asleep...

While I was in the office, I forgot to ask whether this new drug could interact with the Ambien, so I stopped taking the Ambien until I could see my doctor again. About a month went by in which I did not use Ambien at all. During this time, the abdominal pains gradually lessened over a period of weeks, and eventually disappeared.
