LUNESTA!!! Although i have not taken it since being prego ...if your DR ok'd ambien then Lunesta is ok as well. It works MUCH better...i hated Ambien.

I'm only about 5-6 weeks I'm on prescribed adderall 40mg daily and Ambien 10mg at bedtime. Has anyone been on these medications while being pregnant? I'm very concerned about my baby being affected. My doctors says it's ok to continue taking these medications......

I've looked up a lot about ambien during pregnancy and I haven't found anything saying you shouldn't take it or that it'll harm the baby. Has anyone spoken to their doctor about ambien? I've had ambien prescription for years and it's really hard for me to sleep. No I'm not addicted, I used to take it only once or twice a week. It wasn't an every day thing. But it gets sooooo hard for me to sleep some nights so I'm wondering if it's safe.

My dr knew about my habit last year and told me that ambien during pregnancy was ok as long as i was not taking a lot. But i have a new dr this year and I am going to have to tell them.

Has anyone ever been given ambien during pregnancy? I just started on it last night to help me sleep. Anyone have any negative effects? Should i be worried about my babies?

They wouldn't prescribe you something unless they felt the benefits outweigh the risks. Maybe Ambien isn't safe earlier in pregnancy while certain systems are developing but becomes safer later on?

Ambien won't cause you to have a positive on a pregnancy test.

Have a glass of milk or read a book before trying to sleep. Don’t watch TV or do exercise before sleeping.

My breast are a TINY bit sore, no nausea yet and with the insomnia..I have a Dx sleep disturbance and am currently taking Ambien. However, if I am in fact pregnant, I need to find out asap so as to get off any medication that may be harmful to the zygote. I could use some guidance and/or advice....

Wear yourself out, when I have trouble sleeping I usually go home after work and take a long walk then clean my house and if it's not to late maybe take another walk. I pretty much keep moving until like 8:00 which by that time I wore myself out and get a good night sleep. Plus it's good for the baby to get your heart rate up, the faster your heart rate the more blood pumping which is great for the baby. Just don't over do it. Good luck and congrats!

I found out that I am 8 week pregnant on 4/23. Mixed reaction. Prior to conception, I had immunization shots (Hep A, Hep B (1 booster only), Typhoid, Polio) - around 2/19. Traveled to Asia on 3/2. In March, during the first few weeks abroad, got the cold; took 1-2 pills of Tylenol (Cold & Allergy) & Nyquil. Took 1/2 pill of Ambien one night. Had a chest X-ray on 3/11 (immigration purpose). Was drinking 1-2 small glasses of beer or wine daily for about 2 weeks in early March.

Ive heard different opinions about taking the sleeping pill ambien while pregnant...is it safe?

has anyone taken Ambien while pregnant? I stopped taking it as soon as I found out, but now im 8 weeks and I cant sleep at all. Im tossing & turning which is keeping my husband awake! It has come to a point where I need to medicate myself with several different medicines in order to fall asleep. I usually take Ambien 10 mg and I take two od those and sometimes Xanax 1 mg. I have noticed that Ambien doesnt really help much anymore. I just feel weird when I take it. Sometimes when I dont take anything to sleep and I manage to fall asleep, I have very vivid dreams and nightmares. Even after taking medicine, I dont usually fall asleep until 4 am and I am up at 8 or 9.

Im 31w and my dr recently prescribed me Ambien. When I went to pick it up the pharmacist was shocked and in disbelief that my doc would precribe me thi knowing I was pregnant. I sometimes have a hard time going to sleep during the day. My last pregnancy I took Ambien but want to avoid it this pregnancy. As i became too dependent on it and baby didn't move much due to taking it. He also came a month early. I dont think it was because of Ambien but i just dont wanna take that chance again. A friend told me melatonin is all natural and i should try that. Has anyone taken it while pregnant. Im 13 weeks if that makes a difference.

How do you get through an Ambien withdrawl? I was taking up to 7 a day> shaking,sweating,nausea and my mind feels drunk. R there any non-addictive meds to help the detox?

I'm 16+2 my dr prescribed me ambien..I'm scared to take it as I've seen what it does to my mom...anyone not have bad side effects like sleep walking, sleep driving or hillucinating?

then 30...and so on until its 5 then jump off. I have ambien,rozerem scripts myself but stopped the ambien and made it a once a week or less thing because it can be bad news. You might want to see if the Dr will switch you to say lunesta and see if you can use that while getting off ambien or when you tapered low enough to jump and switch. Good luck.

r u sure it is the ambien? it could be a mixture? all 3 drugs aggravate depression and out of the 3 ambien is categorized as the least addictive of the three drugs u r taking.....i would talk to my doctor and find another alternative for sleep....taking these every night could get u into trouble..have u tried the natural sleep aids like melatonin, valerian, etc?

Does anybody hae any comments about ambien? That stuff is crazy.... when I take it I find myself calling people and having intense conversations but the next day I can't remember anything. I can't even remember going to bed. But if I don't take it I can't fall asleep...
