ambien nausea

I am 7 weeks post cholecystectomy and still have pain and nausea. I take Ambien at night and it stops the nausea, so sometimes I take half a tab in the daytime, but would like to find something else. How do you get through an Ambien withdrawl? I was taking up to 7 a day> shaking,sweating,nausea and my mind feels drunk. R there any non-addictive meds to help the detox?

I started taking Alprazolem for anxiety 15 years ago. Since then I only take .5mg at night to help me relax and fall asleep. I now find the the 1 pill at night is not helping me sleep. So I started taking Ambien CR and stopped taking the Alprazolem. I'm sleeping great, but feel terrible in the morning. I feel nausea and tingling numbnest in my arm and face. m curious as to how others have reacted to it and what they think. I read a few reviews on it, and people said it causes a whole load of side effects such as nausea, a "hangover" feeling and random other things. Since Saturday I am racked with anxiety and pain. Nausea and diarreah I can deal with but the spinal tension and pain are almost unbearable. I called my doctor and told her about this. She prescribed Darvocet and Ambien which I have taken. 2 Darvocets Monday and one today and one Ambien last night. I dont want to take anything!!!!! Can I expect the Darvos to help with the withdrawals? If I only take one or two a day will they be easier to quit?

re right, a ct off ambien cr is not recommended ... or ambien i think. i believe that ambien is not a true benzodiazepine but it acts like one / is similar. getting off both is very, very difficult, and you need a lot of patience. except the eye thing, most of your symptoms sound like things i went through as well, though i was ct'ing off benzos at the same time.

Fourth night without ambien. Shakes not quite so bad. Nausea not quite so bad. Sleep comes in periods of 15-45 minutes at a time. I close my eyes, and my mind races and twitches and doesn't want to calm down or slow down to sleep. I usually jolt awake after a few minutes. Is this normal? How long does this last? Yesterday I took my first dose of Paxil. I was prescribed 20 mg but only took half. I took it around 6 pm. I have been feeling really sick all night and morning. I have diarrhea, severe nausea, dizziness, INCREASED anxiety, shaking and insomnia. I tried 1 20mg pill of celexa, first 30 mins was ok, then for 4 hours i had severe nausea i was fighting to keep my food in me. Then I tried to eat a meal and I had a panic attack and had to go to ER. I never took another pill since. Although, you may be different, All I can say is take the pill RIGHT after you finish your last bite of food at breakfast. From what the dr's have told me, that will minimize the side effects and nausea symptoms.

I was having really bad menopause symptoms, anxiety, nausea,loss of appetite and insomnia. So the doc put me on 10 mg prozac about 16 days ago... And then ambien for sleep. He told me the start up of prozac does this..gets worse before better. Then regarding the norco...I realized I was taking it on an empty stomach at night... Which can make you nauseating. So I decided I want off of it...I am tapering the doc though that would be a good idea. Anyway... I'm really sick...

m lucky if I get 2-3 hours a night even with the Ambien. Hardly worth the indigestion they cause. Also worse is the nausea. I hate the RLS, and nausea most of all. Thanks for the clue.

zero sleep, sweats, severe stomach pain, headache, neckache and backache, diarrhea, nausea. I cold-turkeyed it as I wanted off Ambien ASAP. Was up to nearly 20 mgs a night every night for sleep for two months. Getting zero hours of sleep day after day can make you feel like you're going to die, but remind yourself that it WILL get better.

Ambien was needed. Slept from 12 to 5am. But I took knock out naps everyday couldn't help it basically passed out.

i had the opposite problem and slept too much...i used very samll doses of ambien for sleep like 2.5 mg some hae problems with ambien tho and they dont work for those with a benzo tolerence as they arent as strong....5htp and valerian root, gaga all helped me....neurontin that i take for my back helped as well...i am usually not compliant with it as it makes me tired but came in handy then...phenergan for nausea also helps people sleep...

I have read this forum for several hours and have already gotten some answers. I was prescribed Percocet for severe muscle spasms in my back. Usually 1 or 2 would nip the spasm before it got too bad. Then I discovered it helped me sleep also! I also found it helped my mood, i.e., made me more talkative to my husband, more interesting. You all know the rest of the story.

I am 11 weeks and 1 day. The nausea has gotten so much better but now that its subsided for the most part....I'm finding myself watching the ceiling fan go round n round, tossing and turning trying to sleep. Then the next day at work I'm so sleepy I can hardly stand it. Wat to do , wat to do?
