Ok, I know this is gonna sound crazy or stupid, but I have been clean for over 9 months!! I am in drug court and I get drug tested 2-3 times a week. I have been having some really stressing things happen in my life and my insomnia has gotten really bad. I have a prescription for ambien 10mg. In drug court they dont let u take hardly anything not even tylenol PM. But i want to take ambien for a few nights just to get some sleep.

ok, saw the doc. waited almost an hour (very relaxed) and my blood pressure was like 140/90. heard no alarm over that. did another urine test and the kidneys are great she says. (BTW, a very nice Asian lady Doctor bought my regular(male) Doctors practice. he's much older and still works there but partime). I'm a male by the way and have no problem with female doctors. i usually do a yearly checkup Oct 1 and get a flu shot. she suggested i move that up to next week if possible.

It was the first good night of sleep I have had in 2 months. Do you think the Ambien just simply put me into a deeper sleep so that the symptoms did not bother me? That's my guess, so I know I need to find out what is going on with either my prostate and/or bladder? Your further comment is appreciated. Once a day I have to take 4 meds one after the other. Pain meds, muscle relaxant, anti-depressant and then ambien. And still I don't feel tired enough to sleep. I don't even feel any different. I can stay up for three days without sleep, easily.

If you are taking ambien too constantly, then your brain simply cannot sleep without it. With it, it sleeps like normal brain without ambien, which means that it could be addiction.Try not taking it for a week and then take 10mgs and see what happen.

Im in the UK and it seems the first step is the urine test according to my NHS walk in centre but you can ask for the blood test straight away if your really worried....but I think that depends on any symptoms. Ive heard different opinions on the urine test though, I have been told that its no good by one or two people but then afew others have said its fine for an intial check.
