ambien and zoloft interactions

Did you ask your pharmacist if abilify and ambien and any other meds you might be taking, including OTC meds, might be interacting to cause you to feel like this? Sometimes pharmacists know more about adverse drug interactions than dr's. Just a thought.

I take zoloft and ultram on a daily bsbis. Is there any concern with bad interactions? so far I feel none.

OMFG!!!!!!!!!!!! what are you doing!? don't ever mix ambien with Lorazepam, xanax, zoloft or any of the likes! There are interactions between these drugs Central nervous system- and/or respiratory-depressant effects may be additively or synergistically increased in patients taking multiple drugs that cause these effects, especially in elderly or debilitated patients.

I currently take Amiodarone 200mg a day, Metoprolol 100mg a day, Prilosec OTC 40mg a day. I have occasional Atrial Fibrillation. I was put on the Metoprolol in 2004 (my dosage is much lower now) and the Amiodarone in July 2008. I suffer greatly from panic attacks and extreme anxiety. My doctor prescribed Zoloft for me at 25mg a day for two weeks, then 50mg a day thereafter. He knows all the meds I currently take, of course.

but, at least from my view on the bleachers....it seems like you are going on.. and then off the Ambien.... as well as going on... and off the Amitryptiline. They both can aide with sleep.....but you will have rebound affects from stopping and starting the Ambien. And your blood levels don't ever reach an "even" dose of the Ami if you don't CONSISTENTLY take it. It builds.....and then it becomes affective.

Could anyone tell me if there any problems with taking Sam-e and zoloft? I want to get off zoloft too, but want to wait until I have been off tram longer. (Been on zoloft 7 years) I take a low dose of zoloft- 50 mgs. 1x day. I have read a few long articles on SAM-e, but they just say to check with your dr. I dont want to do that cause he isnt gonna know. He may pretend to, but he is not going to really know.

If you stopped drinking so much and took up exercise or meditation, you might find the ambien can go, too, and the Zoloft would have a better chance of working.

I take Levitra and am on Celexa and Ambien. My Psych NP said there were no interactions. I haven't been able to notice any odd side effects. But you should ask a pharmacist.

It has come to a point where I need to medicate myself with several different medicines in order to fall asleep. I usually take Ambien 10 mg and I take two od those and sometimes Xanax 1 mg. I have noticed that Ambien doesnt really help much anymore. I just feel weird when I take it. Sometimes when I dont take anything to sleep and I manage to fall asleep, I have very vivid dreams and nightmares. Even after taking medicine, I dont usually fall asleep until 4 am and I am up at 8 or 9.

I take zyrtec or allegra with my zoloft and I just take it the opposite of when I take the zoloft. Like I take my allergy meds at night and zoloft in am. I'm not sure if it matters, but that's how I do it.

i was diagnosed with sleep insomnia, ptsd, panic disorder, and major depresive disorder a little over a yr. ago. at first, the dr's just had me on a low dose of zoloft to see if it would help. tho it did help with the depression and a little with the anxiety, i still couldn't sleep. after raising the dose of my zoloft a few more times, and trying seroquil, the dr's finally put me on ambien when i couldn't sleep.

I am in wk 22 and at least I can get some rest, Always ask your doc about specific treatments, drug interactions and dosing specific to YOU!

Hi Chicky Watch out for interactions with grapefruit juice and meds. I went on Zoloft in anticipation of beginning treatment. Then read about the grapefruit juice-turns out they use the same enzyme to clear your system so you can get too much of the drug in your system and get liver toxicity. Grapefruit acts that way with many drugs, so check first, then drink up.

Since then, I have been taking Zoloft. Thr Dr. gradually increased my dose from 25mg to 150mg. I stayed and the 150mg until 2 weeks ago. I was telling the Dr. that it seems like my anxiety was coming back. She upped my dosage to 200mg about 2 weeks ago. I was doing good the 1st week, now this week I am an anxious mess. I can't tell if I am better or worse than I was before the dosage increase. Can it be the Zoloft that is creating this extra anxiety? HELP!

the doc put me on 50mg Zoloft i have been on it for about 8 days and its giving me insomnia. I took zoloft about 2 years ago and it did this briefly and then quit (hoping it will stop again). You are on quite an array of meds. I would suggest you call the pharmacy and ask about drug interactions. ambien alone can cause the episodes you speak of, as well as lexipro.

Yes, there are different dosages for Xanax and ambien. Ambien is a once at night medication, Xanax is usually one pill three times a day as needed. I don't have experience with klonopin or Zoloft, your MD will know.
