ambien

1246883 tn?1285547973 The other meds I am taking should not effect my weight. I've been on them for over a year with no problems. And most of them don't have weight gain as part of their side effects. Yes, my thyroid has been checked out . Actually my hypothyroidism was diagnosed months before I start the weight gain. I've had all the tests you can imagine. The last one left is checking my cortisol level. I should those test results back next week.
Avatar m tn But it is the only thing that has worked for me with my sleep problems thus i have stayed on it. Also the side effects of weight gain and some other negative side effects are the reason I would love to get off of it. If anyone knows of any medications instead of seroquel that might work.....
337492 tn?1212458836 Thanks guys, Stella that is odd, I never have had that problem on Wellbutrin. I just hope these side effects will subside, I love the weight loss benefit I get and the way it makes me feel. I already feel a little better. Well, I guess I will ask my doctor. Thanks!
Avatar n tn Doing so can cause major withdrawals and horrible side effects. I have a link that tells you all about seroquel. I do not reccomend you read it, as it will only scare you off it. I did not even look closely at the page. But I will leave it up to you. Blessings - Blu http://www.rxlist.com/seroquel-side-effects-drug-center.
1798419 tn?1315810427 How long do the side effect last?? And is weight gain a common side effect? My doctor swore black and blue that she had never come across a person who gained weight, and that it was more common to loose it on effexor. I'm a recovering bulimic so weight gain is a very scary thing for me, i wish it wasnt but it is..
Avatar f tn Used to take Paxil, but had a horrid experience coming off of it. Never recovered. But honestly, the name just came because there was no number that would work with my first name and that just popped out. And yes, it causes weight gain. All ssris can cause weight gain. Doesn't mean they will, but they all have that as one of the most common side effects. The starting dose for klonoping is either .5 or 1mg twice a day. Not 4mg. That's too high.
Avatar f tn s virtually nothing that helps stop weight gain from antidepressants except stopping them, but if this is working well for you, and you really need meds, it's not easy to find ones that work well. There is a book that discusses this called The AntiDepressant Survival Guide.
Avatar n tn 2/ Is it common to GAIN weight while taking Synthroid? If so, how hard to go back to normal weight and after how long? 3/ Is it more difficult to get pregnant while on Synthroid? 4/ Is it a given that once someone start taking Synthroid (or any other thyroid med for hypo), it's for life? 5/ should i have my baby tested for thyroid problems? Would love to read your experiences and feedback. thanks! hyponofun :( This discussion is related to <a href='http://www.medhelp.
Avatar f tn My doctor recently switched me to Bystolic - and I was given "samples" for a month but no instruction sheet or counter-indications as far as drug interaction. Would there be any problem with the above that I am taking and this drug? Also, I just lost (and want to continue to lose weight) 16 pounds on a diet program and don't want to regain that weight! Does Bystolic cause weight gain?
20813548 tn?1519654796 I just wondered why you chose to post here on a thyroid forum? Do you possibly have a problem with hypothyroidism that causes low metabolism and weight gain?
1187071 tn?1279369698 It also makes me tired which I can handle that one but not the weight gain, I have had problems with my back in the past and when I put on weight my back hurts. I have nerve pain in my face and just pain in my face, what would be the other options I can talk to the dr about today? Would another pill from that line of pills be the same? I am going to talk to him about treatment of the other pain in my face if he don't want to then send me to a pain specialist that can treat all the pain.
Avatar f tn Ex, it seems that Lithium is getting a bad rap but it works for me and without any side effects or weight gain. Now I do need to take another med with it because it needs a boost. Point is you just never no unless you try it and try different amounts if need be. It's also important to give a med a chance to work and often times the side effects will go away. Be it the length of time or the dosage amount. If the side effects are too bad then you try another med.
Avatar f tn Can Follistim AQ cause lethargy, weight gain and very bad headaches? I have heard from several people on Follistim that they have these side effects.
Avatar m tn I have been on Lexapro several times over the last 4 years for 6 months to 2 years at a time. I am having problems with the sexual side effects and the weight gain. It's actually less of a "weight gain" than a shift in body composition. My pants are too tight and my shirts are more fitted but I haven't actually gained a pound. I am a competitive runner and haven't changed my exercise or eating habits over the last 2 years.
1555914 tn?1296474056 Depending on how old you are it could just be a weight thing. Normally early 20s you gain weight and again in mid-40s where it becomes hard to lose the weight. (I'm too lazy to check your status to see if you have your age so those things may not apply).
1687929 tn?1319426011 I also take xanax so what I do is take my xanax an hour or so before going to bed and take the ambien when I go and lay down. When I was prescribed ambien I tried taking it while still being up and it didn't help me at all. Taking it right when I go to bed seems to help. I sleep a little longer and heavier. Hope this helps a little bit.
Avatar f tn ve really not noticed any weight gain that I can relate to teh Ambien, however, I do know that some people do experience "sleep eating" with it - you're basically walking in your sleep and eating and then don't remember it the next day - you just see the evidence of having been eating. I've not had any problems with that, but just be aware that that is a possible side effect.
Avatar f tn The weight gain no doubt is due to fluid retention which is one of the side effects. You might discuss changing drugs with your Oncologist as there are others available but keep in mind that they all have similar side effecfts even though you mjight not experience them to the same degree. Regards .....
Avatar n tn I took it and could not tolerate it but it was to control a neurological disability (tardive dyskinesia) as an experimental use and what it caused in me (mania) could easily have been set off because I have the bipolar end of schizoaffective. It would not cause this for someone with depression. The other effects I had which were overeating and sedation might be more common.
Avatar f tn The common side effects are hot flashes, abdominal bloating, weight gain, mood swings, nausea, vomiting, headaches and abnormal menstrual bleeding. Weight gain is not very common as bloating and may be connected to bloating. If your symptoms are severe or persistent consult your doctor. I hope you find this information useful. Best luck and kind regards!
Avatar n tn I used both, and found that side effects are similar; tiredness, weight gain, and a slow pulse. Side effects are more pronounced as the dosage is increased. I had dosages from 25mg to 200mg. daily. Other reported effects are loss of libido, tightness in the chest, itching, irregular breathing, and irregular heartbeat. If you have any further questions, I'd be happy to respond based on my experience with the drug.
Avatar f tn Weight gain though...not so much. Most people will label that (weight gain) a problem and search for a solution. If Ramipril is the most significant change in their lifestyle, that may stand out as the culprit. I went on Ramipril 1 month ago. Personally I have never, and I mean never in my life, experienced unwanted increases in weight. For the first time in my 28 years, I have have now EXPERIENCED NOTICEABLE, UNWANTED INCREASES IN WEIGHT... AGHHH!
