ambien and hydroxyzine

I asked my PCP to provide Hydroxyzine 25MG. I will be pick it up today and try it tonight. Hopefully, I can have some restful sleep. The doxepin works sometime but my sleep had always been interruptive as much as 10 times a night. Thanks AJWS6!

5 pills of the 12.5 mg Ambien CR. Had terrible insomnia and my docs prescribed 100 mg of hydroxyzine which I've been on for about a month. I'm very familiar with the Ashton method and I know I have pushed my tapering only because I am so motivated and determined to get off of all this. My hands shake, my teeth chatter, mornings are the worst as I feel so anxious to the point I can't get out of the bed even though I may get 6 hours of sleep.

It seems that the most concern is when it's taken in the first trimester. It seems it's only recommended when there are no other alternatives. There seems to be confusion on what class it is, cause I've seen it labeled as both a C and D. Call and get a second opinion and see if there's anything else you can take. I believe you said you were using it for anxiety, nausea and sinus? If so, there might be a few better things that you can take which might be safer.

Has anyone tried the hydroxyzine for anxiety? I took the pill today and feel weird as heck.

I was originally given Hydroxyzine 50mg and have taken it for about two months. I stopped a few days ago when I was scheduled for an endoscopy and I've been hesitant to start it again. The last time I took it, I had spasms I hadn't had before. My hand actually shook and had major spasms for a few seconds. Is this a side affect of the Hydroxyzine or the Vagus nerve being irritated? I'm so confused and don't know what I should be doing.

Think exactly when these various symptoms first occured. Then discuss it with your psychiatrist and see if they can reduce and/or change your medications so that you can tolerate them and they are more effective. There are still many options available.

So I have bad insomnia I can't fall asleep at all I haven't slept in two days I'm so tired and grumpy my doctor took me off ambien which was working great I wasn't even on it for long and she put me on an anti depressant but I dnt trust it and know I don't know what to do I want my ambien back because it was working well for my insomnia but dosent look like that's going to happen so at this point what can I do ?

Well...the Hydroxyzine DID work out for me, and I know it's not addictive, but now that I am clean and sober, I have such a strong affinity for popping pills. I used to take pills like Valium, and Qualudes, and cross-tops,in my teens and twenties, so I have a bad association with them. We even used to call the Speed we did,"antihistimines"...so I hear that word, and I'm like, "no thanks", and do the white knuckle thing,like I've done for years.

Do you mean you get up in the middle of the night and shop and text and tell jokes *after* you have taken Ambien? I would think not because that would mean you do not sleep good - but I just wanted to be certain. Ambien has a short therapeutic window and my doctor always told me to take it literally right before I went to bed. Not 30 minutes or so until I get drowsy. If there is a way you can do that, Ambien might work.

Ambien/Zolpidem gets my vote. I took it during my entire triple therapy. It has some interesting side effects so make sure you understand them.

Can I take Hydroxyzine Pamoate (Daily) and Paroxetine HCl Oral (for attacks), with Acetaminophen plus caffeine (for headaches/energy booster), together without having any adverse reactions? I've found that theophylline reacts negatively with caffeine, and MANY websites group hydroxyzine with theophylline. What is the difference between theophylline and hydroxyzine? Thank you!

Ambien will help you get some sleep so yes I would say it is good. I worked for a Dr. before and the highest dose I saw given was a total of 12mg. So if the tab was 6mg then the patient could take 2. Taking 2 10mg of ambien seems a little high to me.Maybe someone else could answer better than me. I am one of those people that ambien doesn't work. I have tried Ambien cr, Lunesta (sp?) and regular Ambien and still couldn't get any sleep.

We use Vistaril (Hydroxyzine) in the hospital almost excusively for PRE-operative ANXIETY, POST-operatively to prevent nausea and vomiting, to potentiate opioid analgesics and during severe ethanol withdrawl. We never use it for depression or long term anxiety management.

I'm no doctor, so I definitely can't give you any medical information on Ambien, but I can relay my personal experience with it. I've been on Ambien (currently 10mg) for SEVERAL years now (5 or more). I have many chronic pain conditions, including fibroymalgia. One of the major symptoms of fibro is insomnia - which I definitely suffer from!

Does she think it's an issue? Personally,I think Ambien is a dangerous drug to be taking all the time. But,if she can't sleep and hasn't increased her dose for a year,then this is her lifestyle. I don't agree with it either but I know insomnia can be just horrible. There are other things she can take. If she wants to try it, suggest Melatonin and Valerian root. It's safe and it works for a lot of people. However,anyone on SSRI's should avoid Melatonin.

I used Hydroxyzine 50 mg oral every 6 hours, Fluocinonide ointment topical, and Clobetesol solution topical. The Hydroxyzine is what really did the trick. The topicals help, but the Hydroxyzine is what worked the best. My rash and itching were not under control until I got on high dose Hydroxyzine. Hello mom and welcome. Heroin and ambien are both central nervous system depressants. Taken together it is very dangerous as they both depress the respiratory and central nervous system. How old is your son? Does he live with you? How long has he been Abusing drugs for?

At least 6-7 years at a pop and can stop it with very mild consequences. Some lack of sleep and maybe some headaches and neck/back pain but really nothing. Try OTC Advil pm or something maybe.

Call your pharmacist. And try to find a therapist and solve this problem, as using drugs to help you sleep can result in worse insomnia. If possible you want to get back the ability to relax.

She is sleep/wake having conversations she doesnt remember and and having conversations with us that did not happen, Sleep walking, cleaning.... Is this common and should Ambien be prescribed to teens with PTS?

i asked him about the hydroxyzine, and he said that it would not help with my rash and that i needed topical and oral steroids. i am continuing to have small areas of rash and the derm says to keep on using the chlobetasol otherwise the rash could spread.

fed up and want to strangle the fish and kick the dog and sleeeeeeeeepy. We were on a holiday and the rest of the people around me were "normal" and frustrated with me being so sleepy and holding them back! Just remember: you have options in life, but giving up is not an option.

I finally got the rash and itching under control with oral Hydroxyzine 50 mg every 6 hours (presecription). It was he!l before that. I also use clobetesol soln. and fluocinonide ointment (prescription steroid topicals) as needed. I hope you get some relief soon.
