She was diagnosed with Hypothyrodism and told to get off the Geodon because it causes weight gain and possibly Diabeties (he was pretty upset that she was taking Geodon and believes she's been mis-diagnosed). Sure enough, she's pre-diabetic and now also taking Byetta and Metformin. All these medications really have me worried. She's now experiencing diarrhea frequently and stomach pain often lately.

is it safe to take trazodone if i cant sleep and I am on a regular geodon 80mg and depakote 1000mg (devide by am/pm) also with cogentin?

These seemed to help but she grew a tolerance within 6 months (maxxed out Ambien @ 10mgs and Klonipen at 0.5 mgs). The meds were weaned and Clonidine/Trazodone (sleep) and Risperdol (behavior) was started around her 2nd birthday. She has been on these since then (18 months using). These medications have lost their efficacy at Clonidine 0.3 mgs @bedtime, Trazodone 150 mgs @bedtime and Risperdol 4 mgs divided doses.

I've been on Geodon for 18 months and Remeron for 6 months. They stabalized my anxiety, but have bad motivation and gave me a flat personality. I successfully weaned off Remeron without any problems. I started to taper Geodon from 60mg to 40mg and got really bad anxiety. Is this my anxiety returning or is this withdrawal? I've had the anxiety for about 5 days now.

I have been on Wellbutrin off and on for 10 years, on Cymbalta for 4-5 years and Geodon for 4 years. I have been on Geodon 40 mg at times, but recently for the last year or so, on 20 mg. I am currently taking Geodon, Cymbalta, Lamictal and Geodon. Recently I've had times when I've seen things that weren't what they really were. I'm wondering if this is psychosis. They're not like hallucinations, just sort of like I'm in a fog, not with it. I also have trouble with my understanding when someone is saying something to me, like a delayed reaction, feeling kind of slow. I really wonder if I need both mood stablizers.

t bother her so much when she was really manic but now that she is in a depressed state it seems to be make the depression that much worse. And it ***** for her because she is 15 it is hard enough to try and act normal when your 15 and not bipolar.

I'm bipolar 1 and have been on 160 MG of geodon for 16 yrs and it has stopped working for me.

One week ago a psychiatrist put me on 300mg Lamictal pm (without titration), 20mg Geodon pm, 1mg Intuniv pm, 10mg Ambien pm, 15mg Focalin am, and 40mg Vyvanse am for ADHD and bipolar. Prior this regimen I wasn't on any medications. Today I had to call an amulance as my resting pulse shot up to 140bpm and my blood pressure went up to 166/90. I thought I was going to die. As well, my lymph nodes are swollen and a bleeding rash has started to form on my hand.

I went a few months without any medication, before receiving a prescription for Geodon. GEODON IS A TERRIBLE DRUG. I took 20 mg a day for four days, and during those four days (and for several days after) I experienced lightheadedness/feeling faint, headache, nausea, loss of appetite, akathesia, irregular/rapid heart beat, racing thoughts, EXTREME anxiety, insomnia, and flu like symtoms. All of these were so debilitating, it was difficult for me to even get up and walk around.

Think exactly when these various symptoms first occured. Then discuss it with your psychiatrist and see if they can reduce and/or change your medications so that you can tolerate them and they are more effective. There are still many options available.

I have been on Geodon for about two years and my hair is coming out in handfuls.

I've been taking risperdal geodon and ambien all this helps me sleep but I need something like rohypnol because I'm not getting better then I've heard of rectal rohynol. It still fill like I have not slept in ten years.

But also when I was in the hospital they gave me Geodon and Vistaril, which were both terrible medications, I feinted twice from them. And yes I drank water all day. It just made me so drained and depressed. Please, anyone with suggestions let me know AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. PLEASE. I need help to beat this. I just keep repeating in my head... thank you for the info on Lamictal, but does anyone take Geodon? I take 40mg Geodon and Lamictal. I do feel so much better,but i was wondering more about the Geodon side effects. I feel alittle more anixous im wondering if it is the Geodon.

m on lamictal and geodon and other stuff, my doctor plans to keep me on them. she is one of the best psychs in my area and she deals with pregnant, and post partum stuff, so i trust her. I don't think my OB is going to like it though..

Any medication can sometimes take a week or two or longer to take full effect while some will take effect instantaneously. It all depends on the person of course. When I took Geodon I sometimes would "drool and stumble" figuratively for the former (felt really dumb some days) and literally for the latter (dragged my feet and sometimes felt drunk).

I decided to work out on the 7th and it was not a good idea I started to work out and I started to sweat than stopped and started getting goose bump and got really dizzy so I stopped and sat down, aparently this combintaion of medication blockes the ability to sweat and put the body temp very high!!! so I decided I would not take this medication anymore....

Today is my fifth day on Geodon and I have been doing massive research on it to find out as much as I can about its pharmacology and effects. My question is: if Geodon causes constipation, will taking a stool softener decrease its absorption? Also: I understand it must be taken with food, what fiber/fat gram goal should be met before taking it?

I am currently taking Zyprexia, my doctor tried to switch me over to Geodon, and I had a bad reaction to that. She keeps on wanting me to be on these mood stabilizers. I am not bipolar and have never been diagnosed with that so I don't know why she insists on the mood stabilizers. Then I also take xanax and Ambien to sleep. I want to feel normal again. I want to be happy, I want to wake up every day and feel refreshed.

Do serequel cause weight gain? (200 at bed time) It sure helps me sleep.Dr will replace geodon with Lamictal and tompamax. Thanks for any feed back.

but i keep getting a notice that all the questions that can be asked for the day have been used, that no more questions addressed to this doctor can be asked for that particular day. what do i do? i need to ask him about medication-related chills or sensations of cold that i want to cease.

My main issue was the binge eating at night when i was on geodon and seroquel. Ive been on geodon for 10 years and eventually was On such a low dose 40 mg that I just quit cold turkey. I did up my seroquel to 400 mg to eliminate the withdrawls. (im quite the pharmacist) I have actually been loosing weight rapidly. So glad I found the right cocktail! i'm 29 its about damn time!!
