NOW. LoL. I also get lots of aches and pains and tense muscles. Like Jess said, twitching is definitely one of the harmless symptoms of anxiety, albeit annoying.

) Ok so my question is, In the last 3 days I have had , an almost constant, eye twitch and since yesterday started having twitching in my arm which is fairly constant too! I know that really im not detoxing anymore but has this happened to anyone before? I cant find anything on this being associated with w/d's or detox so im not sure if its something else or associated with my body just readjusting. Also, If anyone has had this PLEASE tell me how to make it stop!! So freaking annoying!

My right eye has been twitching on and off for the last 3 days. Today the eye is still twitching but I also have eye pain when closing the eye and with any other movement, especially to the side. It feels like someone punched me in the eye. I have been struggling with a cold for a 3 months that does not go away. Is this linked and what can be done. Extra notes: I do wear glasses.

Also, I've been prescribed Ambien for chronic insomnia and Paxil for anxiety. Been on both for about 6 months now. Not sure of this plays a role in my new symptoms or if it's Neurological, or something else altogether?

ve had twitching in my abdomen, arms, face, eye lids, toungue, legs feet. Basically everywhere. Recently the twitching has settled in my neck and I see my vision jump but feel the twitches in my neck at the same time, so I don't think it's my eye muscles. I read the other threads regarding "twitching" in an eye and that is what originally led me to this site. I am under a lot of stress (caring for my 88-year old mother, my husband has had two open-heart surgeries and my little dog is terminally ill) and I am not sleeping well (never have been a sound sleeper). Approximately six years ago I was diagnosed with Posterior Vitreous Detachment in both eyes and the "symptoms" nearly make me crazy!!

Its severe twitching of my eye muscles. Constant blinking and my eyeball moves to the outside corner of my eye socket and the twitching goes on for 5-10 seconds and happens seconds apart. I can't drive cause I can't focus. My eyes hurt and they are red/bloodshot.

woke up this morning so far not a bad headache i just know its there and could become stronger. my eye is still twitching though, think i will take it easy today not let myself become stressed and see if by the end of the night if i have a bad headache again. if this is the case i think you are right i need to see a doctor. you can never be too careful with head pains etc.

The answers given did not take into account the duration and severity of the eye twitching and other symptoms that may accompany it. If eye twitching is occuring 24/7 for more than a few weeks, and other symptoms accompany it, it is not normal, as was suggest that eye twitching in normal.

These sensations also extend to the area around my eye and sometimes to other parts on the right side of my scalp. The twitching/movement is nearly constant. I get this twitching all the time, sometimes my arm or leg kicks a lot and I wake up while I'm falling asleep. maybe it is hypnic jerks, PLMD or central sleep apnea or seizure related. I haven't found a cure but klonopin seems to help a lot at 0.5mg. Please let me know if you find a cure because sleep apnea has destroyed my life!!! I have no energy and am in a terrible fog all of the time.

Hi I have had the shooting on my right side of the head and eye twitching. The pain comes and goes last few seconds. The eye last about 6 hours. The head pain last about a day & moved to my right shoulder last about 8 hours. The pain start moved to below my right ear above the jaw line. What could cause this? also, I just found out I'm pregnant.

When I have a shower my eyes start twitching. Other day I had a shower and my left eye started twitching, then my left cheek started twitching. I had an episode where I gave myself a shot of Humira in my stomach and ten mins later did not feel well. I felt very sick which traveled up my left arm into the side of my head and pain into the left temple into my eye which started twitching. The numbness has really never left except to say that it feels asleep and waking up. The eye twitching has gotten better but it's a twitching that circles the entire left eye.

However, when he added it to his list of symptoms on his time line at the Cleveland Clinic Mellen Center for MS, the MS neuro looked at him strange and said that eye twitching does not go with MS and it should not have been on the timeline. I have had the problem of my right eye being droopy, my eye and right side of my face twitching, and the whole right side of my face being swollen for 5 days now, I went and saw my MS Specialist and she said that the twitching and the drooping is probably from the MS but shes not sure what the swelling is from. I can't put my eye patch over my right eye because for some reason when looking out of my left eye it looks as if I have been looking at the sun for a minute and there are dark spots.

I had an eye twitch several different times when I was working my last years at an impossible job, and my eye muscles would get to twitching and it made me self-conscious, so I chalked it up to being stressed out and tired. If this keeps up without pause, then an eye doctor opthalmologist might be a good idea to visit.
