ambien and codeine

Thank you for setting me straight regarding the ambien. I'll tell you it has created nightmare dreams and constant leg movement. Going through this is no joy...but, having you help makes it a whole lot easier.

I started anti depressants about a month ago and they are starting to work. I also have access to nurontin klonopin and ambien. will any of these help? what should I expect? I know god will be with me. please pray for me. Thank you.

I am on Prozac 20mg and have 10 x 15 mg tabs left as well as Valium, Ambien and Xanax and Codiene. Could someone with a bit more knowledge let me know how I can make this less difficult - I cut down to 5 tabs yesterday and got diarreahea and felt awful...Should I just go off them completely and throw myself into withdrawal? Any advice would be really, really appreciated. PS: I cant go for treatment here as they are very tough on usage of narcotics unprescribed.

The following drugs are all i take, No more and no less. Fentanyl 50mcg. Tylenol3, Tylenol, Norflex, Ambien,Seroquel, Cymbalta, Ibuprofen and Naproxen. PLEASE HELP!!!!

d ask an expert. I have until this point been sporadically abusing fioricet (without codeine) and ambien (not usually at the same time as the fioricet.) I can go days or weeks without either and then go back to them. I know this is a problem and I am working on getting help for it. I had not taken the firoicet for a few months but got a script a week or so ago and took 4-8 pills a day (spread from morning to evening) for about six days then I stopped.

I am on Arthrotech for hydrocodone for the pain and it works pretty well. About a year ago I had a bad flu and developed welts on my legs that turned into sores and then scarred over. Anyone else experiencing this?

Ambien will help you get some sleep so yes I would say it is good. I worked for a Dr. before and the highest dose I saw given was a total of 12mg. So if the tab was 6mg then the patient could take 2. Taking 2 10mg of ambien seems a little high to me.Maybe someone else could answer better than me. I am one of those people that ambien doesn't work. I have tried Ambien cr, Lunesta (sp?) and regular Ambien and still couldn't get any sleep.

It was during that time she started abusing Ambien and antidepressants. She stole Ambien and antidepressants from heer sister and she stole Amnien from me. I guess I don't see why someone would want to abuse Ambien as it just made me go to sleep. A lot of my friends and family have the same doctor. She recently prescribed Ambien for my dad. I've been on Ambien (currently 10mg) for SEVERAL years now (5 or more). I have many chronic pain conditions, including fibroymalgia. One of the major symptoms of fibro is insomnia - which I definitely suffer from!

Does she think it's an issue? Personally,I think Ambien is a dangerous drug to be taking all the time. But,if she can't sleep and hasn't increased her dose for a year,then this is her lifestyle. I don't agree with it either but I know insomnia can be just horrible. There are other things she can take. If she wants to try it, suggest Melatonin and Valerian root. It's safe and it works for a lot of people. However,anyone on SSRI's should avoid Melatonin.

Hello, I just had a question in regards to pregnancy and a small dose of codeine. Due to pelvic pain I have daily taken 2 tylenol #1 in the morning and 2 at night. The tablet is 300mg acetaminophen with 8 mg of codeine. Total codeine being 32mg in one day. I've read all this stuff about baby withdrawing and dependancy issues and i know reading stuff on the internet is not the greatest idea but wanted to get feedback from a doctor if possible and greatly appreciated.

Hello mom and welcome. Heroin and ambien are both central nervous system depressants. Taken together it is very dangerous as they both depress the respiratory and central nervous system. How old is your son? Does he live with you? How long has he been Abusing drugs for?

At least 6-7 years at a pop and can stop it with very mild consequences. Some lack of sleep and maybe some headaches and neck/back pain but really nothing. Try OTC Advil pm or something maybe.

I take Tarka for blood pressure, tylenol plus codeine for pain (two knee replacements) ambien to sleep. My new script provider switched me to generic syntroid and I think I feel the difference. I will talk about all of this to doc in two weeks. Will live through the mornings until then . I'm going to ask him to add anything to my blood work that could affect anxiety, like estrogen, cortisol,etc. Hope I can find an answer that is physical, because the symptoms are so very consistent.

Ambien can be safe for very short term and occassional use. It is highly addicting and hard to get off. If taken for more than a week or two or if you take more than perscribed with drawal symptoms include: nausea dizziness REBOUND insomnia (can last for weeks) seizures body shakes (RLS) Hot and Cold Flashes Vivid Dreams and Hallucinations The list goes on and on. And while taking it you can experience those symptoms also. People have amnesia when on it and do crazy stuff.

butalbital IS highly addicting and so is codeine. more importantly, they potenate the effects of each other. often times, during the golden age of barbiturates, they were used to greatly enhance the effects of opiates. fiorinal with codeine makes this possible in one convenient little capsule. my point is, it will be hard. i've taken HUGE doses of fiorinal with codeine...there was a time when i'd go through 120 pills in a week or less...

Today's day 7 for me after 9 years of codeine use. I'm so proud of me that I've gone a full week. Like you, my biggest two issues now are no sleep and anxiety. I have tried Ambien, which I've taken on and off for years as a chronic insomniac. Doesn't do a thing. I've taken some Xanax. I'm like the walking dead right now. I was just lying in bed repeating over and over for 1/2 hour....I am so tired. My mind is calming. My body is relaxing.

I need someone to give me hope that I will sleep through the night again and this anxiety will go away. At night I take a ambien then sleep 4 hour and take another ambien to get 3 more hours sleep. The worst part is the anxiety every minute of every day. It hurts so BAD. Please someone give me hope because I feel like this will never end. It has come to a point where I need to medicate myself with several different medicines in order to fall asleep. I usually take Ambien 10 mg and I take two od those and sometimes Xanax 1 mg. I have noticed that Ambien doesnt really help much anymore. I just feel weird when I take it. Sometimes when I dont take anything to sleep and I manage to fall asleep, I have very vivid dreams and nightmares. Even after taking medicine, I dont usually fall asleep until 4 am and I am up at 8 or 9.

Hi, I was just googling Ambien and Lexapro and read your question. I take Ambien here and there, since I have trouble staying asleep, and have recently become severely depressed and got some Lexapro from a friend, (I know not the best thing to do, but... such is life), but wanted to know if you had any issues taking the two.

I want to quit taking xanax and ambien. I have been on both for a few years. I also take Subxone. I take 12.5 mg of ambien and .5mg of xanax 2 or 3 times per day. Can I quit cold turkey without? I have heard xanax withdrawal can cause seizures,, but am not sure if my dose is high enough to worry about that.
