Avatar f tn Last December my 11 year old was diagnosed with depression after he told me he wanted to kill himself. He's been off his Prozac for a couple of months (with the doctor's approval). Tonight he tells me he hears voices in his head and that he's heard them since before he was diagnosed. These voices tell him to hurt others when he's made or to kill himself. he said they confuse him and make it difficult to know what's really.
107366 tn?1305680375 I am currently in a battle in the UK with my insurance company over Avastin. They are continually asking my Wife's doctors for more information and not coming up with an answer as to whether they will cover it or not. She is supposed to be starting treatment on Monday. There is no approval for using Avastin for OVCA in Europe at the moment but clinical trials are under way (being led by my Wife's Gyn/Onc).
Avatar m tn Yes!!!!! I got the Teak Seal of Approval. Thanks a lot, Teak. I'll feel better about having sex with my girlfriend now. P.S. I'll probably still post this on doctor's forum just to see what they say about herpes increasing chances of getting HIV. That was my main fear because every website about herpes says you can get HIV a lot easier than if you didn't have herpes.
Avatar n tn Your toothpaste should also bear the ADA (American Dental Association) seal of approval on the container, which means that adequate evidence for safety and efficacy have been demonstrated in controlled, clinical trials. The mechanical action employed using the proper brushing technique is more important than the brand of toothpaste you purchase.
Avatar f tn If all goes well she could go home as early as tomorrow (Monday). It may get pushed to Tuesday because her P.T. has off tomorrow and wants to give her seal of approval.
Avatar f tn She too suggested what REB 51 said ,perhaps it is cough variant asthmas, this kind of asthma has no weezing just coughins and can lasts for months. I sound like a seal, my throat is sore and my voice goes out. I have to take 40 MG of prednisone for a few weeks, an albuterol inhaler too. She said the inflammation has to go down in the lungs to get better first. also one has to try to figure out what triggered the attack to begin with,Mine was most likely allergies.
29837 tn?1414534648 I believe distribution of telaprevir there is being handled through Johnson and Johnson. Also there may be a different stages of approval in (1) making the drug available and (2) adding it to medicines covered through national health plans.
Avatar f tn I have been told my level of IgE is 1,900. The blood test showed that majority of it was down to pet dander and house dust mites. I was advised by my dermatologist consultant to get rid of all the carpets in my house, purchase matress and pillow protecters and buy a special filter for my hoover. I have spent 4 years on various steroid creams of all strengths as well as different moisturisers, shower gels, soap etc and has even spent time wearing itchopaste bandages to which they did not work.
Avatar f tn m the only one in the entire restaurant experiencing this issue with my eyes. I have purchased all sorts of over the counter allergy meds, even bought some eye drops today. The meds help my nose somewhat, but nothing is helping my eyes. I cannot continue to work like this, I really need some answers.
Avatar f tn Hello, basically, i understand a conclusive result occours at 3 months, but from browsing other sites and even looking at the NHS (National Health Service UK) website i found this info: "Anti-HIV testing (window period of 15 days, test sensitivity 99.9%, error frequency of 0.1%), or an HIV combined antigen/antibody testing (window period 11 days, test sensitivity 99.9%, error frequency of 0.1%), or HIV RNA testing (window period 9 days, a combined test sensitivity of 99.
Avatar f tn I have been diagnosed, by a consultant allergy specialist within the UK, as having severe allergy to the allium family. My syptoms are mainly neurological and respiratory but I have noticed that this last anaphylactic episode has left me with GI symptoms as well. I am inhaltion sensitive making management of this allergy difficult. I carry 4 epipens, anti histamine and steroids at all times. I also take Fexofenadine and Montelukast tablets daily.
Avatar m tn Todays apt, he reviewed my hx ( GT1a, viral load of 7 Million), and said he wanted me to start on Harvoni for 12 wks. I'm a vet, got hep C thru the army, and knew that the VA has been in negation w/Gilead to lower their prices. Much to my surprise, my hepa told me that the VA is now paying !!!!! He said he would contact the VA, and I will hear from them next. Sounds like it's a 'go' for me.
Avatar f tn I never heard of it either before my pregnancy. Its a "plug" to help seal the baby from bacteria and to seal off your cervix.
329994 tn?1301663248 But I developed an allergy to it. So, my doctor switched me to Talwin, which works ok. No allergy to it. We had recently moved and I had to find a new pain doctor. I had shots in my lower back for pain and they gave me Tramadol. However, they had previously prescribed a Butran patch for me and I had trouble getting approval from my insurance company, so I just stayed with the Talwin. I have recently read up on the Butran patch and taking it makes me nervous.
Avatar f tn If I understand your question correctly, you are asking if food intolerance and/or allergies mimic the pain of various neuropathies. Food intolerance, only if it contains gluten. The association that I am aware is that of neuropathy secondary to gluten sensitivity. The following is excerpted from a report in the medical literature and is illustrative of this phenomenon. Sensory ganglionopathy due to gluten sensitivity (CME) Hadjivassiliou, M. MD; Rao, D.G. MD; Wharton, S.B.
Avatar n tn I consulted two medical dictionaries for a definition of "rectal seal." Medical names come from Latin words, and are spelled differently in texts. There is a "recto" meaning relationship to the rectum. Another prefix for rectum is "procto", but no rectal seal. There is a "rectocele." Here is the medical definition for rectocele: a hernial(hernia) protrusion of part of the rectum into the vagina. Called also, "proctocele.
Avatar f tn I had an Angiogram done on March 30th, there was an Angio-seal used, and I was given a card to carry with me for the next 90 days. I had an angiogram done in 2005, which was done the old way, lay for 5 hours after and never looked back. Never needed a painkiller or anything. This time, I can't walk without pain and am in alomost constant pain today from above the site of entry, with a very warm sensation around the site, but to look at the wound, all looks just the same as before.
Avatar m tn It is for itchy allergy eyes, and sometimes I put a drop or two on the end of a q-tip and dab it in that corner of my eye and sometimes I put the drop directly into the eye. Works wonders. Whether it is allergy or irritation of some sort, the drops take the itch away for me. I hope this works for you.
