Avatar m tn I also had allergy testing while I was toddler. My mom also had this allergy so it made it a bit clearer when they tested me.
Avatar f tn He took one look and knew it was a type of yeast infection - basically, it starts as slight diaper rash but develops into a larger rash that doesn't respond to typical treatment. She was prescribed econozole - however, many actually get relief from over-the-counter topical creams (apply to the skin where the rash is) for yeast infection. Perhaps your daughter's doctor, pharmacist, or nurse could advise you over the phone if it's worth trying.
Avatar n tn My fourteen month old toddler has mild eczema and allergy to tree nuts + dairy; that has mainly manifested itself on his face in the form of small red patches. However, (not sure if the following is related at all) just a few months ago when the weather started getting colder and we turned the heat on, he started getting a dry rash-like patches on both his legs. Sometimes some patches would last just a day, other times they stick around for a while.

Avatar f tn The strep test was done because 2 weeks before the petechiae started he had a very bad rash that was believed to be from an allergy. A mixture of hydrocorisone and miconozole was used for about 2 weeks or so to take away the rash along with Zyrtec. The petechiae was not present until he had this rash. Could the hydrocoritsone have weakened his skin in that short of amount of time?
Avatar n tn My dd gets swelling INSIDE her mouth with the raw carrots .. hives inside that you may miss with a toddler. Benadryl controls all her oral allergy syndrome and very very tiny% go on to anaphylaxis but she has an epi anyway as she is LATEX and PLUM an Nut anaphylaxis. That brings me to the cause of concern that popped right out in the beginning of your post. BANANNA ....... and the skin rashes. If they are going to do a blood test please beg them (insist) they throw in a test for LATEX.
Avatar f tn I have always been severely allergic to cats and pollen ever since I was a toddler however about 8 years ago I developed a severe case of hives after eating paella whilst out in Spain. At first I thought it was just heat rash but later discovered it was the seafood after doing an allergy test. Around a year later I was eating an apple and started to feel extremely naseous and ended up throwing it all back up. After throwing up my lips, toungue and throat started to itch and swell up.
1442483 tn?1284210716 However it did state Moderately Acute Gastritis H. Pylori not detected. I already had scheduled an allergy test for Wed. He tested allergic to yeast (and carrots, but no worries there for sure!). At the initial consultation with the Dr.
Avatar m tn If it is scabies (the rash caused by mites) you more than likely will develop blisters along with the rash. Scabies is VERY contagious. It is possible for an allergic reaction to last that long if you are not doing away with the culprit. Example: laundry detergent; if you are allergic to it and still using it, the rash will remain until you do away with it. Your rash sounds like a possible contact dermatitis.
Avatar m tn So what does the rash or acne like stuff look like? Does it itch? Does it follow the hair follicles? Is there all the time? Do you have any fever?

615752 tn?1361867986 I haven't been on much too. Child care has holidays and I'm with my little girl all day. Well I don't have an active infection which is great and I haven't been exposed too. My daughter had a small rash which went away and it was most likely an allergy to something, she has sensitive skin. Until now, she's had nothing and the rash shows up 4-7 days after exposure. Just so glad, especially after being told about the complications.
Avatar f tn Last spring, it began with a rash across her cheeks. As the weather warmed, she began developing a rash on her arms and eventually a light rash upon her legs. As the spring turned into summer, the rash subsided. I took her to her pediatrician last year and was received with a shrug. No explanation was given and so I did my own research over the months and concluded she may be reacting to the sun. So I patiently awaited this spring to see if the same thing occurred.
Avatar n tn I seem to be having a rash reaction to Doxycycline and have taken Benedryl...so far, no other symptoms after 10 hours. If I keep taking Doxy for the next 10 days, will my symptoms likely get worse or stay the same? With such a long half life, I'm likely to have this experience for several days anyway.
