Common Questions and Answers about Allergy index in nj

Avatar f tn Has anyone read the article in last month's issue of FIRST magazine about chronic sinus inflamation? They are suggesting to put a capsaicin extract in your nasal rinse for better results - I am wondering if anyone has tried it? I am going to take the article to my Allergist this week and see what he says. Any thoughts?
Avatar f tn I've lived in NJ most of my life, I was born in Colorado and lafter high school joined the Navy and ended up getting married and stayed in Seattle for about 8 years. My nasal congestion began a year or two ago, I don't recall having anything other than occasional congestion before that. I lived in the Red Bank area near the shore for about 8 years, the rest of the time in north central, Flemington area.
Avatar m tn Hi all, when I had my lp my igg and other values in csf were normal. However igg value in serum is elevated. I got it tested again as part of allergy testing and it's still elevated but less than previous value. Does this have any significance with respect to MS? Or can any other disease cause this? Paresthesia on face and scalp is my major concern.

Avatar n tn Recently a couple of months ago during the end of summer I began to get these weird mosquito bite like bumps all over (legs, thighs, arms, neck, once on the ear lobe, once on face cheeks) and I don't know what it is? It's been around really could here in NJ for the last couple of months so I doubt it's mosquito bites. They keep coming back, they will disappear for few days and then appear again. Once you touch them they form a small red rash around it.
Avatar m tn although I am almost tempted not to retest due to emotional trauma also although no studies have been done specifically on it do you think that allergy testing could change my G-levels as i had that done the day before the first test and apparently G-glyoproteins are produced in response to allergys. last thing...
Avatar f tn This cheered my day - evidence they are really researching cause and not just treatment, so I thought I would pass the information on. Maybe there are others on here that are being treated in NJ that will be recieving the same letter.
Avatar f tn I was wondering if anyone lived outside of Philadelphia in NJ? I was thinking about switching doctors and hoping somebody can advise me on a good place to go.
Avatar m tn He gave me xanax but even taking xanax freaks me out because it just numbs me and I really don’t want to go that route. Like I break a .5 tab in quarters and I get an instant drunk feeling in about 15 minutes. The doc said I’m the only known person who won’t let xanax work. Like I fight it. Background.. I’m in excellent shape I run 30-60 minutes a day. Even after that, I try to hike before work. I take vitamins and I juice daily. I don’t eat any ****.
Avatar m tn I had the tip of my right index finger crushed in a door about seven years ago. It required several stitches, the x-ray did not show a repairable brake. But the bone had been crushed. It healed and everything was fine until about a week ago. I have not re-injured it, but it is hot, slightly swollen, sensitive to touch and painful. Feels like the pain is coming from, the bone. Can this be related to the previous crushing injury?
Avatar m tn Hello, I just found out that similar to "At-Home" tests that diabetics use, they also sell "at home" allergy blood tests that will tell you whether you are allergic to something or not. I know that it is not as thorough as the skin pr!ck test, but it's "something". Have any of you successfully used any? Any brand names or information that you would be able to recommend? Thanks.

On select Friday nights this year, they will be closing down the water park at 5 and re-opening from 6 to 9:30 for children with special needs, their families and friends. The parks lights and sounds will be adjusted for these children as well. Tickets are half price and only a limited number are offered.

Avatar f tn I am a physician in the Philadelphia suburbs and new to area. I am looking for a Cardiologist or Neurologist with experience and interest in following patients with POTS patients who were dx in adolescence and are now young adults and no longer eligible to be seen by their Pediatric docs. I also have two children and a neice with POTS, so I know how hard it is to access good care. Any suggestions? Thank you.
Avatar f tn Before I post, please do not provide infor as to what can happen "after" the baby is born. I only want information to what is happening "now". First and foremost, I do not do any drugs. Not even marijuana. However, I went to 2 friend's x-mas party after the "family" party not knowing there would be smoking pot. I was there from 11pm until 5am due to holiday celebration. I would occassionaly go outside for fresh air.
Avatar f tn There does seem to be many similarities. The idea is that since they do not think they have found all her allergies, this will be a way of detecting all of them. They would first do an endoscopy to see how much inflammation there is. Then for 2 months she will only have her Elecare and one food ingredient. This should clear up her whole GI tract. Then, they will introduce one food ingredient every 2 weeks. After 4 foods, (about 2 months) they will scope her again.
