Avatar n tn Hi. My mom always has this skin allergy. The rashes are like a map of mosquito bites. It's all over her body. I'm really getting worried because it doesn't go off anymore. She's been having it for more than a month now. But she still wouldn't go for a check up! She's being really stubborn. Is there like a permanent allergy? Do you know what it is?
Avatar m tn The optometrist retested me and said I have map dot dystrophy. Then I went to an ophthalmologist (cornea specialty) who so far has tried two conservative treatments: 1) Elestat drops to control eye allergy, and 2) Lotemax drops to try to calm down my changing vision. Neither have worked although the Elestat did appear to fix mucus buildup in my eye. The ophthalmologist is talking now about doing surgery.
Avatar m tn Hi, good question. The WBC count is the total white count. Then they do a microscopic count of 100 cells and take a percentage for a total of 100% so your other cells were a tiny bit high which through off the percentage of other cells. The Eosinophils are present sometimes with an allergy or parasitic infection. But they are not that high. Same with the Lymphocytes it was only a tiny bit high. You could have been fighting a virus or allergy. Is your fever and pulse rate normal now?
Avatar m tn Other causes are irritation from hot or spicy foods, or alcohol. There is a map-like appearance to the surface of the tongue with burning sensation and pain. This condition is harmless but it can be persistent and uncomfortable. Treatment involves use of antihistamine gel or steroid mouth rinses. Do keep me posted. Best wishes and regards!

Avatar m tn Have posted this here about how R & D reflects Gilead's standing in the future in large part due to it's HCV drug. If this belongs on the " Social Side" Great.. Never paid much attention to which side my info.goes. Cheers... Will http://hepatitiscnewdrugs.blogspot.ca/ In addition to assessing forecast trends in prescription drug sales and R&D spending, World Preview 2018 also looks at therapy area growth and the performance of marketed and pipeline products.
Avatar m tn t know anything about either, but many cold/allergy medications can contribute to heart rhythm problems...including AFib. Here I assume you are not tin constant/permanent AFib. If you are, then you can't map the nasal aid with the episodes as they are constant. This is something worth asking you doctor/pharmacist to see what they say. Also, read the precautions that come with the medications.
Avatar f tn Well anytime the temperature 48 degrees or even at 50 degrees feels much colder than the weather forecast. Does anyone ever feel the weather forecast is inaccurate sometimes? Especially when it could in the 30s,20s or 10s,etc.
Avatar f tn As near as we can tell it seems to be a type of food allergy. It will without fail flare up most types of food dyes such as yellow #5 and red#40. A few preservatives may also be a culprit. He will also get puffyness around the eyes and will exhibit 'ADD' like behavior. Sugar and most unprocessed foods are a safe but we've had to resort to label reading. Elimination dieting has worked very well for him so far.
Avatar f tn Yeah I had read an article talking about the MAP bacteria being a possible cause for crohns and colitis. but there was no definate answer. Now when you say "you changed everything" what all did you have to do? did you take any of the MAP antibiotics? i wonder why doctors wouldnt perscribe the MAP antibiotic right off the bat. I'd love to know how you found relief. Thank you for your response and I do look forward to hearing from you.

Avatar m tn Do not remind his disciples that of the four close states — those with margins of 2.5% or less — Silver only forecast three of them correctly. And definitely do not remind them that the polls in swing states correctly forecast all but two states (Indiana and North Carolina). Silver’s key insight was that if you used a simple simulation method known as Monte Carlo, you could take a poll’s topline numbers and its margin of error and come up with a probability forecast based on the poll.
Avatar m tn Hi, I can't say for sure what's causing your daughter's sudden symptoms. I developed allergies when I was in my mid-twenties. Prior to that, I had no problems with allergies, none when I was growing up. My mom had allergies all while she was growing up, but they went away when she was in her thirties. Allergies are weird like that. I know my post wasn't particularly enlightening, but my point is that allergies can develop at any time.
Avatar f tn m having a discoloration in the side part of my left underarm(like an allergy or an irritation). It has been 10 months since it came out and spread bigger portion in my left underarm, although it is not itchy. I'm not using any deodorant when the discoloration came out. Now it is like a map in my left underarm. How could this be removed?
