Avatar f tn It just hurts again a couple hours later. I have the allergy eye drops too. Just curious if anyone has had this and other suggestions?
Avatar f tn I did continue the medicine for 7 days as directed by her doctor. This past Thursday I woke up to swollen, itchy, red watery eyes. I assumed that I got pink eye from her so I started to take her medicine. My eyes are slowly getting better. They are no longer itchy and I do not have anymore discharge. However, they are still red and under my eyes look swollen. I have been on the antibiotic for over 5 days now. Should I expect them to be completely cleared up by now?
Avatar n tn After two weeks I went to the doctors and they told me I had bacterial pink eye and gave me eye drops (3 drops a day for 7 days). It's been over a week since the eye drops and still my eyes are very wet (but don't really drip) and water seems to just build up for some reason. Sometimes theres a lot of liquid in my eye to the point that things look blurry. I went back to the doctor today and now he has me trying allergy eye drops. What do you guys think?
Avatar f tn I had pink eye about 4 weeks ago and was given eye drops to use Sulfacetamide Sodium Ophthalmic Solution USP. Now my eye lids (the one that had pink eye is the worse) are swollen, pink and itch like HE**. They are crusty and burn, and I have wrinkles in the corner of my eyes and my lids seem to droop I also have a huge bag under the eye that had pink eye. I dont know what has happen to me can someone plese help?
Avatar n tn Not certain about the white bumps but red itchy eyes maybe allergy or pink eye(conjunctivitis ) He may need a med so it would be best to show the doctor .We also have an eye care forum on Med Help may have other ideas. check it out ..
Avatar f tn Although, reading back, I see you have the problem in both eyes, and uveitis usually attacks only one eye at a time. Perhaps you have a very bad allergy or a non-bacterial infection (fungus infections actually get worse on antibiotics). But if you are in that much pain, I still would try to see an eye specialist before Monday.
Avatar f tn As sprinkles77 stated you need to go to a physician, but preferably an opthamologst. Don't let this go.
Avatar n tn She could also have a blocked tear duct. Or pink eye. Call your doc AND wash your hands. Pink eye is really contagious! My guess is it is one of those two things. They prescribe a simple eye drop for it and some docs will even just do it over the phone as this is so simple to treat and common. So, call and check on this. My allergies affect my eyes but in the way most allergies do, a 'histimine' way in that they itch and water and swell.
Avatar n tn my 2 and a half year old german shepherd has pink to red in both eyes. The lower part of his eyes instead of being white are pinkish red. any assistance would be appreciated.
1503643 tn?1311518238 I was recently exposed to pink eye from my nephew. I have been diagnosed with stage 4 lymphoma. I do not have any symptoms and am practicing standard precautions. Do I need to worry about this? I am staying at his home for 3 1/2 more weeks while taking a class 12 hours away from my home. Should I stay somewhere else until he is cleared up?
Avatar n tn there are bumps in my eye...under my eye lids. It first began with one and then that one went away. Then it came back..Then another, an another, now i have two. One at the bottom of my left eyelid and one at the top of my right eyelid. It makes my eyes look dispaportioned. When i first got them they were red and irritating to my eyes btu now they are pink and dom't bother me that much..My question to you is, what's wrong with my eyes?...is it a bacteria?
Avatar f tn Nine days ago I woke up with an extremely mild case of pink eye in my left eye. My sister had been suffering from it, so it was pretty easy to guess where I'd caught it, and I went promptly into the doctor to get it checked out. She confirmed it was pink eye (but didn't say whether it was viral or bacterial) and prescribed me antibiotic eyedrops. Knowing that it usually spread to both eyes I started drops in both eyes.
Avatar m tn It also happened last year to me, and all times it was the right eye. There is some blurred vision in the eye. If I put Clear Eyes in it, it gets better for the day but just returns the next day. Should I just go to a regular eye doctor to get it checked out? What could it be? Popped blood vessel? Scratched Cornea? Nerve Issue?
Avatar n tn One optometrist admitted to seeing a little bit of scar tissue in my eye, perhaps from the pink eye. Could that be causing the chronic inflammation of this blood vessel? Scar tissue? Did I damage the eye somehow by crying that hard? Or could this be a really long lasting eye virus (been two years)? There are no other symptoms besides the redness except that the right eye does feel drier than the left eye.
Avatar f tn My sister was diagnosed with allergic conjunctivitis and has had it for the last several weeks. Her eyes occasionally swelled, but they remained white instead of pink or red. In the last few days, my sister developed severe ocular pain, more painful swelling (no bulging), and eye watering (clear). She followed up with an ophthalmologist and took their directions, but there's no help. What can possibly cause my sister's eye swelling and other symptoms? Could this be an infection?
Avatar n tn In December my sister brought home pink eye, I received it from her. However; after she recieved her perscribed drops hers went away but mine keeps coming back. I have not been able to go two whole weeks without getting pink eye. No one else in the house (5 other) has not contracted it and my sister and I share a room. We have washed everything multiple times, thrown out things I typically touch but the results are the same.
Avatar m tn She thinks it is Fuchs, also have major allergies going on....eyes irritated, pink,achy...also astigmatism.. will ask her for samples of allergy eye meds..?
Avatar f tn For the past 3 years, I have had this stringy stuff come out of my eyes. It's not discharge like you would get from pink eye or a cold in the eye. It's just constant, white, sometimes clear string that I pull out of my eyes. Sometimes I can be pulling and I feel it pull from behind my eyeball. My family thinks that I'm weird cause I'm always messing with my eyes. If I put in visene, the sand-like feeling goes away for a minute but always comes right back.
Avatar m tn A week later it came back, and it cleared up in a longer time, but my eyes have been slightly pink/red ever since. I went to my GP in late january and was prescribed fucithalmic drops, which had no effect, if anything they made the dryness and redness worse. I went to my optician in mid feb and he said my eyelids were dry, and that there was still some infection left, so he prescribed chloramphenicol again. It is now March, and I am fed up.
Avatar f tn I visited an eye expert (I wear contacts regulary) Post my retina and cornea examination, the eye expert said its coz of an allergy and prescribed me FMLT. After applying FMLT for 3 days, My both eyes turned blood shot and I started experiencing pain, burning sensation on washing eyes and discharge of white sticky substance. I was scared and revisited the doctor. The doctor prescribed me Pataday. On using Pataday for a day, I was afraid if it could resolve the issue.
Avatar m tn i have the same problem in my eyes……I've tried antihistamine eye drops but i don't know the itch keeps coming back. i also have some growth tissue around my caruncle. its pink and its extremely itchy. I've read about ocular lymphoma and its starting to freak me out. there has been some misdiagnosis about eye lymphoma…..doctors just think its allergy.
1415174 tn?1453243103 I ended up using my antibiotic eye drops. We'll see if the swelling goes away. The eyes feel better. It it on the pink tissue next to the white of the eye on the nose side not "ear" side of the face. I can't get a good photo. It is where you tear up. Maybe clogged tear ducts? Sorry for the bad description.
Avatar f tn My little one has been waking up this week with dry crust around his one eye and sometimes a little goop in the corner of his eye. His eyes are not even a little bit pink. They are a bit swollen underneath. Could this be allergy related? He has been having a runny nose too. Thanks!
Avatar f tn The next day, my eyes were almost the same except with added infections of drainage and unbelievable swelling to the extent that my eyesight was blurry and almost unbearable. I went to a physician and was prescribed some eye drops for pink eye but it has already been about four and a half days and I don't see or feel any improvement. I have also avoided any places with bright lights and haven't touched my TV, computer, or any electronics untill now.
Avatar n tn What is the best antihistamine for allergic eyes? I am experiencing worse eye allergy than sinus allergy this Spring, and I think it is due to tree pollen in this area of Texas. I have found chlorphenaramine maleate and benadryl do not help.

With my finals this week, I am worried that I may be kicked out of school because of my eyes and I may miss my finals.
