Common Questions and Answers about Allergy eye drops

allergies

Avatar f tn My eyes are watering and itching so bad and super sensitive to light. Is there over the counter eye drops that are safe for pregnant people to use?
Avatar f tn I have been to opthalmologist 6 times and they have prescribed me steroids drops, allergy drops, antibiotic gels drops. They even suggest I take allergy medicine daily. I haven’t worn contact or make up in over a year. I have tried so many eyes products for dry eye, allergy eye, etc….. I’ve been to 3 different opthalmologist for help and nothing seems to work. Any suggestions?
Avatar m tn If you are not feverish and in pain you could try cold compresses and oral antihistamines and maybe some allergy eye drops like Zaditor or Visine allergy eye formula.
Avatar n tn t work. I have already seen three eye doctors and they prescribed me eye drops but nothing has worked so far.

Avatar m tn I'm referring to eye bright being used directly on the eye. There are commercial eye drops that contain it such "Similasan Allergy Eye Relief " or "eyebright drops wisdom of the ages" I've tried some antihistamine eyedrops such as Zaditor but they irritate my eyes.
Avatar n tn They also get really itchy, but i use allergy eye drops to help that. However, my eyes still continue to get swollen and dry. I am currently taking Allegra-D and Singulair for my allergies. My doctor had prescribed me to Pata-a-Day Eye Drops as well, but they became too expensive and weren't working very well, so i switch to an over the counter brand. My medicine is obviously not working very great either. Does anyone know of an effective treatment that will help me with this? Thanks.
Avatar f tn My left eye has watered non stop for a couple of months. I have used allergy eye drops and cortisone eye drops and still the eye waters outward. Am now developing head pain at the back of the eye?
Avatar n tn I went in for an eye exam and they gave me 4-5 drops in each eye (some have said that was too many) and that evening I became extremely tired in a strange way and when I got up I was dizzy. I have been dizzy ever since and that was over 1 week ago. What should I do?
Avatar m tn t not tell me to use antibiotics or anything, just the allergy drops. Could this be the reason for my chronic red eyes?
Avatar m tn I suffer from the exact same thing with the inside corner of my eye driving me crazy at times it itches so bad. What has helped me is Rx eye drops called Pataday. It is for itchy allergy eyes, and sometimes I put a drop or two on the end of a q-tip and dab it in that corner of my eye and sometimes I put the drop directly into the eye. Works wonders. Whether it is allergy or irritation of some sort, the drops take the itch away for me. I hope this works for you.
Avatar f tn I do have like seasonal allergies, but so far this season they haven't been too bad. Yesterday I noticed my eye was just pouring out tears. I wasn't crying, it doesn't hurt or itch though. I don't know if this could be a possible allergy? I took some clariton D this morning and put some eye drops in but nothing helped...
Avatar n tn So I kept having the same problems and went back to him multiple times, he gave me drops, the eye problems came back, then I repeated the process. Then finally around that following January, I went to the ophthalmologist. He gave me more drops, and said it might be the dorm I was staying in since it was an old dorm. I did the drops and like usual the problems persisted. So after I got out of that dorm at the end of the year I hoped that the eye problems would stop; well they didn't.
Avatar f tn m the only one in the entire restaurant experiencing this issue with my eyes. I have purchased all sorts of over the counter allergy meds, even bought some eye drops today. The meds help my nose somewhat, but nothing is helping my eyes. I cannot continue to work like this, I really need some answers.
Avatar m tn old eye drops could cause infection but if you have seen an eye doc and have no problems dont worry vix
Avatar m tn The allergy eye drops I use are Opcon-A by Bausch&Lomb. It's over the counter.
Avatar m tn 2 days ago i went for an eye test. pupil dilation drops were administered. 10 hrs later i developed swelling around the eyes, and severe irritation of the area including itching . i think it is an allergy.i was prescribed cetgel one tablet a day as an antihistamine and flupred eyedrops one drop twice a day for one day only.my face still looks out of a horror film with the swelling and the irritation/itching continuing unabated.
Avatar f tn Pazeo is an allergy eye drop that is new and is meant to replace Pataday which is the #1 prescription allergy eye drops. restasis is the definitive treatment for moderate or severe dry eyes but it takes 5-6 months to work and often strings when starting out. My wife and I both take restasis and have for several years.
Avatar f tn All eye drops that are re-usable that is they store will have preservatives in them. It's what keeps them sterile. While some people are allergic to some preservatives the newest ones are very well tolerated and even in case of allergy are not prone to cause anaphylaxis. As for local anesthesia you just had cataract surgery and they had to have used some for of anesthesia on you. Questions about your medications should be directed to your Eye Surgeon.
Avatar n tn After two weeks I went to the doctors and they told me I had bacterial pink eye and gave me eye drops (3 drops a day for 7 days). It's been over a week since the eye drops and still my eyes are very wet (but don't really drip) and water seems to just build up for some reason. Sometimes theres a lot of liquid in my eye to the point that things look blurry. I went back to the doctor today and now he has me trying allergy eye drops. What do you guys think?
Avatar m tn I just went to the Optho who did the irrigation test on my tear duct that is CONSTANTLY tearing. It is just the one eye. He put me on eye drops for allergies. What else could this condition be if there is no blockage???
Avatar n tn 2 weeks ago and he gave me Pataday drops 1x a day and eye wetting drops. Said to come back in 2 weeks, which i did yesterday. Still the same. He looked in the eye, did those yellow drops, looked at it with that eye machine where you put your chin on, said saw no scratchs or debris. Said it could be irritation or allergy. Here's a little background on my eyes as well...I have dry eyes, high eye pressure (between 19-26 depending on the month) and very thick corneas (around 624)..
Avatar f tn I use Visine Allergy eye drops--they work better than the drops from the eye doctor.
Avatar f tn Allergy eye drops plus steroid drops have helped a bit, but my ophthalmologist wants me to end the steroid drops so I have already started cutting back to only one drop a day, rather than two. The itching is already become unbearable. I have run allergy tests with my allergist and dermatologist and have kept away from all things I am allergic to (which are many) but there has been no change in these reactions. I have now added a puffy, itchy lower lip to the problem.
