Common Questions and Answers about Allergy control home products

allergies

Avatar f tn Morning Everyone, Lately, I become increasingly sick whenever I eat any dairy products. I have been on this new "Paleo Diet" which requires me to ONLY eat protein. Maybe this has something to do with it?
Avatar n tn Allergies to over 100s of things, external parasites such as fleas and mites, and skin infections make up the most likely causes. To treat and control the problem correctly, she should be seen by a veterinarian. There isn't much home care that can help until the underlying cause is found. Baths only work for about 10-30 minutes, so are not beneficial until the problem is known and can target the skin correctly. Baths may actually make problems worse pending the cause.
Avatar n tn Hi, ItchyM could be right about you being allergic to any of the products you are using. try stopping the products and also using products approved by your skin specialist or dermatologist. Have you started using any new products recently or changed any of the products you were using otherwise? How are you doing now? Is there any improvement in your symptoms? have you been to see an allergy specialist yet? Let us know if you have any doubts. Regards.
Avatar f tn About a month ago, I switched face wash/moisturizer. The first few days were fine, but then I started to have a bad reaction to it. My skin felt raw and like it was covered in fire ants, but there was no visable rash. I discontinued use, but the symptoms did not go away, even after switching to my typical skin products. In fact, the symptoms spread to my entire body. Itching and burning from head to toe, yet no visable rash.
Avatar f tn I have NEVER had an issue with dairy products. However through my pregnancy I feel as though I'm almost developing a mild intolerance to it. It wasnt bad in the beginning, but now at 37 weeks any time I take in dairy it upsets my stomach. Kinda makes me afraid that my little one may also have an allergy to dairy then since I plan to breast feed. Any one else ever encounter this??
1900997 tn?1321659956 Hi, For some time (ever since I had my gallbladder removed in 2008, in fact), I have been having problems whenever I drink milk: a couple of hours later, I get ferocious stomach pain and flatulence that smells of milk, quite often also diarrhoea. So I switched to lactose-free milk, but this has not brought about any improvement whatsoever. Skimmed milk is just as bad as full fat, so it can't be the fat content either.
Avatar f tn I now have a patch of eczema under one eye. I tried special products, control creams, cortisone (in small amounts-I have to be careful since it is around my eye), vaseline...the list goes on. If anyone has any ideas, I'd welcome them!
Avatar n tn After getting ready to sell my home last June and being exposed to oven cleaner, multiple exposures to lots of bleach fumes and air freshner fumes, scented candle fumes , interior paint, lots of dust from sweeping and more in a very short period of time I had an event of what seemd to be bronchitis with a cough that was non productive and there was lots of clear spit type mucus..
Avatar f tn Or it could be contact dermatitis (skin allergy) caused by a product change. Changing hair products, soap and laundry detergent or perfume could all cause a skin allergy.
Avatar n tn -200 hours after I drink it. Well I did the allergy test and it had about 10 things I am allergic. Not dairy. One thing is geotrichum. I looked it up and it said it was found in dairy products ect... I am moderately allergic to it. Does this have anything to do with me feeling sick when I drink milk and sometimes when I eat cheese on stuff?

Avatar m tn I was officially diagnosed with the allergy to said nut after allergy testing when I was in my early teens. I subsequently had a few more allergic reactions throughout the next 20+ years, all similar, some also with breathing difficulties, always only with ingestion of coconut or with it touching my tongue/mouth/face. I am not allergic to any other nuts or seeds.
Avatar n tn It is more likely that you are allergic to something your clients are putting on their hair or, more likely, allergic to something that you are applying to their hair. You could remove the products you routinely use on people's heads one at a time. You could also use a nasal steroid spray, prescribed by your doctor.
Avatar f tn I had a hysterectomy 9 years ago (ovarian cancer but no chemo) and have since developed chronic migraines + headaches, allergy to cat hair that was treated with allergy shots over 2 years, and an exacerbated dust allergy that did not respond to shots. My migraines involve great sensitivity to odours and sounds. You are well within your rights to ask people around you (at work or school) not to wear perfumes because most of the new perfumes are chemical-based.
Avatar f tn There are labels warning of products that are not peanut products that say that they are made on the same equipment as where peanuts were processed. Be on the alert for this, depending on how severe his allergy is. I'm sure your son's pediatrician or allergist must have also tested for all other nut allergies. Be on the look out even if he tested negative for the other nut allergies. People can have sensitivities that tested negative for allergies.
Avatar n tn Hello, Nothing can be confirmed without examination but it can be due to viral fever, post viral fever myalgia, allergic reaction, food allergy or some drug allergy. Drink plenty of water and take multivitamin supplements and do not apply lipstick or other cosmetic products for some days. Use a humidifier to moisturize the air in your home and apply shea butter or Vaseline on your lips. If the symptoms persist then please get it examined from a dermatologist.
Avatar f tn Hello and hope you are doing well. It could be an allergic reaction. It is possible to develop allergic reaction to substances, to which we did not exhibit a reaction before. We can develop allergies to different things throughout our lifetimes as the allergy develops in response to a repeated stimulus. If you haven't undergone formal allergy testing, that might be beneficial. In the meantime for relief from your symptoms you can take OTC antihistamines.
Avatar f tn I think the companies who produce these products should put a warning on the package that an allergy to PPD is very serious. Most of all the use of PPD should be banned.. Everyone who had such a reaction should post their comments.
Avatar n tn Symptoms of contact sensitivity and ulceration from oral menthol/peppermint-containing products improved with discontinuation and avoidance of these products. 61 Following ingestion of 40 drops of peppermint oil, a patient with no known allergies reported mucosal burns and edema of the tongue and oral cavity. 52 Excessive consumption of mint-flavored sweets caused stomatitis with oral papillary hypertrophy. Avoiding it might be wise.
