It could be allergies, although an good eye doctor should be able to diagnose eye allergy symptoms. Did you see an opthamologist or an optometrist? An opthamologist is a medical doctor specializing in the eye. An optometrist only does vision testing for glasses.
I find using contact saline solution as an eye wash and an antihistamine eye drop are very helpful. I like Zaditor for my eye drop and use an antique eye wash cup to wash my eyes twice daily.

One of the reasons for blood shot itchy eyes can be seasonal allergies or hay fever.Even allergies due to contact dermatitis with the eye makeup can cause such symptoms.It can also be due to blepahritis or eye infections.
You can take OTC antihistaminics like benadryl or Claritin. Eye drop versions of cromolyn sodium and antihistamines are available for itchy, bloodshot eyes and these can also be tried.Also maintain hygiene and avoid rubbing the eyes.
When the air blows in my face it irritates the veins/blood vessel around my eyes, they get puff and swollen that causes the pressure in my eyes to go up. I'm using four different eye drops provided by my doctor. I only have close-up vision in my left eye and I'm worried that I may soon lose site in my right eye. Should I see a dermatologist are have my doctor do a patch skin test? I've had two blood test, I'm not sure what they were looking for.

I am 38 and this has never happened before. I actually went into anaphelactic shock. My lips swelled up, eyes swelled, stomach ache, skin/body burned, and my throat started closing. I was taken by ambulance to the ER. I was just reading symptoms for Dysautonomia and one said 'allergies'. Could this have been because of my POTS?

I recently started having significant under eye swelling. I've had "bags" under my eyes before, but this is different. It's more like fluid filled "sacs". My nose also looks swollen. This will reduce slightly as the day progresses, but not completely. My allergies are under control, so I am concerned. First of all it doesnt look like a skin disease but rather a benign hyperpigmentation. Have you had irritation around your eyes in the past? Sensitive skin especially around the eyes? Have you been exposing your self in the sun without sunglasses and face suncream? Its hard to apply depigmenting agents in that area. If you are a smoker try to cut down on it and try to take Vitamin C supplements ( not more than 500mg pill ). Did it happen after a pregnancy or a hormonal event?

is there any product or treatment that you can recommend to reduce or lighten the "raccoon" appearance or "dark circles" around your eyes that African Americans and people of darker skin often get as they age? My are horrible! No amount of sleep or concealer seem to help. In the last two years it has gotten noticeably worse.

Our girl Abby, 55 lb German-Australian Sheppard mix has been to the vet three times in the past year for one ear infection and two separate incidents of skin rashes. The vet diagnosed allergies, all treated and cleared. The last visit a couple of months ago vet said we can start with otc cortisone if rashes return and see if it helps, but if more frequent episodes then consider going back for prescription strength meds.
Me too my eyes are sore and itchy mine is allergies there's a lot of heat and bad air out there at least here in CA there is ..Pollen ,grass all causes eyes to hurt,I use drops and bathe eyes in cold water .

Does the onset of never before allergies(first time allergies that i know of and i am 19) indicate something, my allergies were specific eyes itch, and were red, and after a week or two, They were sore and it was only painful to look out the corners of the eye.
Optimologist told me it was just allergies.

t put your hands near your face or eyes especially after touching any place in the house. When your eyes start to itch, wash them out with water, please, for the love of pete, don't rub your eyes with your fingers/hands when they start to itch. The reason for not letting the cat near your face is because many people including me have asthma attacks from the allergy. Another thing, if your friend don't mind, is to buy a shampoo that solves the saliva problem.
