2 years ago he was put on Advair disk inhaler, Singulair, and Allegra D as his regimen. After about a month he started having a problem with his legs and groin itching. He took himself off the Singulair as that is what he decided was the problem. He has gotten by with just the Advair inhaler. In the past month he's really been struggling with breathing problems.
I am currently taking Allegra-D and Singulair for my allergies. My doctor had prescribed me to Pata-a-Day Eye Drops as well, but they became too expensive and weren't working very well, so i switch to an over the counter brand. My medicine is obviously not working very great either.
Does anyone know of an effective treatment that will help me with this?

Is it safe to take both Allegra-D and Zyrtec. In short, I suffer from allergies. I find that I feel best when I take a single pill of Allegra-D in the morning and a single pill of Zyrtec at night. In part, I have been doing this because I haven't had to go to the doctor (or Canada) to get more Allegra D so I can take it twice a day. I was wondering what the possible side-effects, besides fatigue, are of the regimen I'm taking? I've felt much better since beginning it.
We are currently traveling, since around 6 days ago my wife suddenly had a allergic reaction to something causing her to break out in red spots (without bumps) on her arm joints, knee caps, foot and hands which itches and swells. She has been taking claritan D and benedryl but that helps only a little. Yesterday she went to the ER and they gave her an IV with an antihistamine and anti inflammatory corticosteroid with 2 days worth of the same in pill form.
I take a lot of medication. Singulair, Advair, Flonase, and Allegra. When I get a sinus headache I also take Allegra D. I started getting allergy shots too. Im allergic to mold too. Have someone clean it or remove it if possible (within your financial means).Wear a mask when you have to be around it. All of this is extreme and a lot of work. I am a mother of two, my sweetheart works 7 days a week, I don't have much help either.
About six months ago I was diagnosed with severe sinus disease and allergies (apparently I'm allergic to everything except trees). My doctor prescribed Allegra, Singulair, and Q-Nasl - each once a day - along with three allergy shots every week.
Within days of starting the regiment I began to experience random, complete numbness in my hands/arms and sometime in my feet/legs. At first I didn't think too much of it, but as it bdegan happening more often I began to question it.
With all these doctors, they have me on an antibiotic, steroids (short term), prilosec twice daily, zantac once daily, omnaris nasal spray, and allegra d. I haven't had any changes in my wheezing though. Anybody have any ideas? I have an appointment to go to an ENT in a couple of weeks, but the allergist says they usually can find the same problems as them. It's difficult to talk too much because of the lack of air coming in to my throat area. Any ideas anyone?
Then I went to an allergist, he ran some tests, and found out I was allergic to dust ad that was pretty much it. He prescribed me more allegra, and then on my second visit prescribed me singulair and then also gave me instructions to change my diet, soap, and detergent. None of this has worked. At some point I had thought that it was a fungus and read online that Head and Shoulders or Selsun Blue would help but none of these did.
Well I have had Hashimoto for the past 10 years, and I also have had allergy problems and have taken Allegra D for the past 4 years. I don't think allegra had anything to do with my hashimoto/hypothyroid.
Benadryl is safe.
In this regard, it is noteworthy that the lesions of cold urticaria can localize in the pharynx and upper airway, including the pharynx, larynx and vocal cords and, can be precipitated not only by cold air but by cold drinks. I mention this so that you might ask your doctors about this possibility, so that it might be considered along with the diagnosis of cold air induced asthma.
I work with pulmonary doctor who sees me for asthma and I use Advair 500/50 along with Allegra D and Singulair and I do regular sinus rinses. I was also sent to see a sinus specialist at University of Iowa who removed a large polyp from left Maxillary. I was hoping after the surgery the symptoms would clear. The surgery was completed in 8/2011 and I've had two flare up since that time. I've been tested for allergies 4 times and the only allergen is cut grass.

My Vitamin d has been low 23. I have been taking vitamin d for 6 months. I went back to dr and it has stayed the same so he put me on Vit D2 50,000 iu once a week. Also I have had a lot of health issues for the last year and my doctor as a shot in the dark suggested Singulair even though I have no allergy or asthma symptoms. I took both of them. That evening my bones and muscles started to hurt.
My doctor actually told me that allegra was fine to take as long as its the regular kind not allerga D. But I didn't take it all of the time... N my baby is perfectly healthy, benadryl is good to take too.U should ask ur doctor n see what ur comfortable taking Bcus everyone is different.
