Avatar m tn If you have enteritis (food poisoning. From eating contaminated foods and water as well as from alcohol poisoning. If you have infections from ears, throat, migraines, kidney and, gall bladder problems that too can cause persistent vomitting until treated. Another reason is self induced.
Avatar m tn My son ate mayonaisse last night which had been stored in the food cupboard and was out of date and previously opened. He has been vomiting all day and althoug he didn't eat until six tonight he had eaten an ice lolly and a glass of milk and vomited that back up also. He has only drank boiled water from six o'clock and is constantly vomiting which is green in colour.
Avatar m tn you might advise her to get her gallbladder checked out. Vomiting bile (can be yellow colored or green) is sometimes not a cause for concern, as if her stomach was empty when she threw up....this would be the reason for bile to come up. Like I said, if all is fine now...no more issues, Id say she is ok....but if it starts happeneing on a normal occasion, might check it out to be safe.
Avatar f tn It is not a usual source for food poisoning. Perhaps something got in the tea? If it tasted that bad it may be what caused it. I don't know how it got contaminated but something may have gotten into it. Did anyone else get sick that you know of? In any case I'm pretty sure you have food poisoning whether it was the tea or not. Do you still have the same symptoms? How are you feeling?

Avatar m tn I have been suffering from chronic nausea and vomiting for almost 6 months. Recently, had HIDA test and the ejection rate was just below 20% (but no pain). I also had an endoscopy, but nothing looked abnormal (aside from a little tissue damage from the constant vomiting). At work today, I got extremely dizzy, nauseous, started smelling things that weren't there (like a skunk and graham crackers), and vomited multiple times.
Avatar n tn At first (3-4 times), he vomited bile mixed with clear fluids. After that, he vomited (the 5th time) bile, clear fluids mixed with flecs of bright red blood. This occurred during the next 4 hour period. The last time he vomited (about the 6th, I lost count), it consisted entirely of bright red blood. It was two circular 12” round puddles of red blood. Sometime between 3:00 a.m. and morning, he had a bowel movement, which was the consistency of brown/red tomato paste.
Avatar m tn I have been vomiting and my stomach hurts a lot I feel bloated.
Avatar n tn Do you think you could have food poisoning? You need to see a doctor ASAP. Vomiting and diarrhea like you are having will cause you to dehydrate and you should try, if possible, to take small sips of liquid with nutrients in it in case you are dehydrated. Have you been seeing a doctor for this?
Avatar f tn I found her in bed unresponsive to touch or sound earlier today. I tried rolling her over and she had bile running down her face. Her eyes were rolled back in her head and she wouldn't wake up. After getting her upright, she was limp and not breathing so I gave her CPR till she threw up more bile. She began breathing again but still not responding, I put her in the shower and turned on the cold water. She came in and out of consciousness for several minutes so I carried her back to bed.
Avatar m tn Hi, welcome to the forum, it may be a case of food poisoning. You might have consumed infected food product. If the manifestations are seen with in first 6-12 hrs, the probable pathogens are Staphylococcus aureus, Bacillus cereus and botulism. These bacteria are known to release the heat stable toxin. You need to take adequate fluids. Hospitalization may be needed if there is severe dehydration. You may need proper antibiotic therapy against prescription.
Avatar n tn Gamma GT is fairly specific to alcohol, which I am sure your wife is not taking. It is certainly very raised indeed. What are the other liver function such as alt and ast looking like? Has the doctor commented? What has been the Gamma GT been on previous tests?
Avatar f tn 5 days ago my husband woke up with stomach pains, nausea, vomiting and felt feverish. We went to the ER yesterday and the doctor treated him for food poisoning (IV fluids and anti nausea medication). We were told he should be fine by today but we noticed his body temp lowered from 97 yesterday to 96 today and he is still vomiting with nausea and feeling feverish even after taking the prescribed anti nausea medication. Has anyone else had experience with what this could be if not food poisoning?
Avatar m tn Most liver diseases are characterized by greater ALT elevations than AST elevations except cirrohsis and alcohol abuse. ALT also rises in bile duct obstruction due to stone. High concentrations of GGT are found in the liver, bile ducts, and the kidney. Hence kidney and urinary problems could be causing the high GGT level.
Avatar n tn Symptoms include: dizziness, vomiting, diarrhea, cold sweats, achy muscles, headache, restlessness, fatigue Possible reasons for getting sick: Male travelled, had little sleep, alcohol, not much food What could this be, and what are the best treatments?
Avatar n tn My friend died of alcohol poisoning with a BAC of 0.70 does this not seem extremely high, is this possible?
Avatar m tn Think of it as getting lucky this time. There are only so many times you can drink until you have alcohol poisoning without some permanent damage to your liver. Take it from someone that knows. Diagnosed 03-23-10 end stage cirrhosis.
Avatar m tn Sounds like a bad reaction with another drug you had in your system at the time. 6 oz of beer is not enough to do anything. You symptoms are indicative of another problem and you should see a medical professional.
Avatar m tn t urinate for some reason except once after I started drinking (and I just found out every time you urinate 10% of it leaves your body) and I drank on an empty stomach. Is that enough that I got a small case of alcohol poisoning? I woke up puking everywhere which I never do unless I'm REALLY sick and I was shivering even though my family member says it was hot in here and I don't get cold easily on top of that and I was confused and other unpleasant things.
2043760 tn?1330016594 It does sound like bile......maybe you have bile reflux!?!? An endoscopy should be considered to have a look I think.....
Avatar n tn He has suffered stomach problems for a few years now. He was vomiting bile before the surgery. Over the years he has been to several Drs and had many tests run. Endoscopy, MRI, gastro emptying study, hida scan and others... None of these tests showed anything abnormal except for the hida scan, it came back at 9% so they removed his gall bladder. He has had constant nausea, constipation and pain all over his stomach for a few years now.
