1969477 tn?1327548419 Yes, and it's bad for the dogs, too. I own a cat and have chemical sensitivities myself. So, this place is only cleaned with natural products. That industrial stuff, if it's still in the air when the dogs and people are there, that's not good for anyone. It's very bad for the people doing the cleaning, too. They need to use other cleaning products. The stuff they're using is too harsh and is dangerous for both the people and the animals.
Avatar m tn Our 5 yr old samoyed ***** has had very loose movements for just over a wk now. No change in her diet(which is healthy). Was wondering if it could b some sort of poisoning(some dodgy people around)? She is not let "roam" and is always on our property. We have app for vet tomorrow but wondering if anyone had any thoughts as to what it might be.
Avatar m tn Think of it as getting lucky this time. There are only so many times you can drink until you have alcohol poisoning without some permanent damage to your liver. Take it from someone that knows. Diagnosed 03-23-10 end stage cirrhosis.
Avatar m tn Sounds like a bad reaction with another drug you had in your system at the time. 6 oz of beer is not enough to do anything. You symptoms are indicative of another problem and you should see a medical professional.
Avatar m tn t urinate for some reason except once after I started drinking (and I just found out every time you urinate 10% of it leaves your body) and I drank on an empty stomach. Is that enough that I got a small case of alcohol poisoning? I woke up puking everywhere which I never do unless I'm REALLY sick and I was shivering even though my family member says it was hot in here and I don't get cold easily on top of that and I was confused and other unpleasant things.
Avatar n tn My friend died of alcohol poisoning with a BAC of 0.70 does this not seem extremely high, is this possible?
Avatar m tn t keep multiple things in mind at a time.Is it alcohol poisoning or something else.i consulted a psychiatrist and he said it was becoz of sensitivity. If itz a case of sensitivity ,why I m experiencing problems still now after 3 weeks .On the contrary if itz poisoning ,how can small amount of ethanol cause poisoning..?

You can look for a full list on any medical website or in any baby book.
Avatar n tn The cane toads in Australia are an entirely different story. They are extremely destructive to the ecosystem there and I fully understand why they need to be eradicated. There's no such thing as "perfect balance" in nature. This planet is constantly changing and it's inhabitants along with it. We cannot freeze its development at some arbitrary point in time.
672475 tn?1227793166 ve ever drank in my life by far, and I took the hard alcohol all in about a 5-10 minutes. I seem to get most dizzy when forced to focus on a few things at a time, like when driving I feel very dizzy and spaced out. Right now I'm also in lala land, as I prob will be for the rest of the day. Any help would be great, I'm so scared I messed myself up for good, I've read that drinking to much to fact and pretty easily mess a person up for good...
Avatar f tn I drank one of his alcoholic beverages. It has been a year since I drank it. The drink he made contains %40-45 of alcohol and I drank approximately 400-500 ml of it. I didn't feel bad that night except being drunk. I slept well and even though I have headache too often, I didn't even suffer from headache that day. The thing that I am worried about, is it possible that the alcohol I drank can be methanol and I survived it?
Avatar n tn i have two pug dogs. we have noticed that both dogs have been losing weight. it is getting to the point that you can see the back bone. i was wondering what could cause this and what we should do.
228686 tn?1211554707 I've heard some bad things about dogs who eat chocolate. When they come into the vet clinic, they do induce vomiting and "clean them out" with charcoal in some cases. Some dogs seem to react worse than others. We had a "pit bull" who ate an entire chocolate easter bunny and had no reaction. Our Siberian husky ate a chocolate chip cookie and it made her sick. We had a dog who loved beer. She'd jump the fence and actually drink it out of the neighbors glasses.
Avatar f tn I remember throwing up and then passing out again. I slept for 8 hour. I read that alcohol poisoning can cause dehydration, leading to low blood pressure and low supply of oxygen to the brain. Also, that alcohol in high doses can slow your breathing, also causing inadequate supply of oxygen to the brain. Did I suffer alcohol poisoning? What are the chances that I my brain starved of oxygen while I was passed out? It’s possible that I suffered some kink of brain damage from this single episode?
Avatar f tn Good suggestion. I will ask to have him checked for tick born diseases and parasites as well. We have thought about poisoning but can't think of what that could be. There is nothing in our yard, we checked, and we dont' live in a neighborhood where anyone would throw something over the wall. He also doesn't take "treats" from strangers. He is fed food that I cook for him. It was organic chicken, brown rice and carrots and some organic kibbles.
Avatar f tn It might be that particular brand of hot dog, and a certain ingredient in them, or just hot dogs in general - they have a lot of nitrates, which is a preservative known to trigger migraines, and tons of sodium, which also can. It's basically a migraine without the pain.
Avatar m tn t be withdrawal because I still quite obviously have alcohol in my system. All I was able to find was how alcoholics can suffer from seizures and shaking after quitting drinking. Moreso, these shakes are quick and as I am drinking. And to be frank, it won't stop me from drinking, but I was curious as to why my body experiences this.
Avatar n tn I am wondering how you guys turn down alcohol in front of family and friends? I will be going to a big weekend wedding that will last 3 days and interested in tips how to navigate that without raising eye brows. Thanks!
Avatar m tn It could be that the poisoning has caused some change in her body-chemistry, which might re-balance given a week or two and the correct treatment for the poisoning (and what exactly was she poisoned with?) The vet tells you it is food poisoning. It might be. Salmonella can cause after effects sch as weakness etc. But I don't know about hallucinations.... Are there any toxic mushrooms/fungi growing in your garden, yard, or anywhere she might have nibbled at them? Or plants?
Avatar n tn Im from Dallas, tx and have had 2 dogs and 1 cat die in the last week. Different times and days but the symptoms are all the same..They all went out as normal and then within a few mins are going bazurk!! Running like crazy hitting themselves against anything and everything! Their eyes begin to bulge and widen, they look extremely frighten, they tongue falls out of their mouth and they begin to have seizures for about 10 mins before finally dying!! It's very sad to see and scary!!
Avatar m tn a persons tolerance can increase through repeated abuses, but in general that type of drinking indicates an increased potential risk of developing full blown alcoholism in addition to acute alcohol poisoning. to answer your question, yes, that could be at worst fatal, and at best a prelude to disaster.
Avatar n tn Was the chicken raw or cooked? If it was raw, there's really nothing to worry about, even as gross as it sounds. If it was cooked, keep an eye on your dog for any signs of distress with regard to a bone being stuck somewhere. The digestive system of dogs is very short (20-80 cm) compared to that of humans (1.5 m). Humans retain food in their digestive tracts for upwards of 24 hours, and this is what gives us the time to develop "food poisoning".
Avatar f tn t show any other signs of alcohol poisoning so I was wondering if there was another thing less fatal than alcohol poisoning.
Avatar n tn Even a possibility to alcohol poisoning! Not worth taking the risk again by drinking alcohol for any reason (: Best wishes.
