Avatar n tn Once the symptoms abate, the body temperature will come back to normal. You can raise the thermostat slightly and if she feels cold can cover her with a sheet.
Avatar f tn I read at a lot of places that the body temperature changes when you sleep, almost always cools down when you sleep. (I am assuming this is because the body is trying to conserve energy, physically thinking, lower temperature would imply lower change in entropy). However, the other day I slept without Turing my heater on and it was very cold. However I woke up with a much higher body temperature.
Avatar m tn t urinate for some reason except once after I started drinking (and I just found out every time you urinate 10% of it leaves your body) and I drank on an empty stomach. Is that enough that I got a small case of alcohol poisoning? I woke up puking everywhere which I never do unless I'm REALLY sick and I was shivering even though my family member says it was hot in here and I don't get cold easily on top of that and I was confused and other unpleasant things.
4915340 tn?1360965940 Hi All, For the past four months I have been battling a medical mystery - severe fatigue, low body temperature, headaches, high blood pressure, and assorted back and body pains; previous to Oct 22, 2012, my BP had historically been 110-120/80 and I never had headaches. I was a rock-solid 98.6 body temp previously but now average about 96.3. I've gained over 15 pounds as well.
Avatar m tn Think of it as getting lucky this time. There are only so many times you can drink until you have alcohol poisoning without some permanent damage to your liver. Take it from someone that knows. Diagnosed 03-23-10 end stage cirrhosis.
Avatar m tn can be sensory issue or a peripheral vascular issue. Failure to regulate body temperature usually means that the core body temperature varies from the expected 98.6 degrees Fahrenheit by an unacceptable range. Failure to maintain boy temp could be caused by a lesion on the hypothalamus. Peripheral vascular constriction while maintaining your core temperature could be an issue of autonomic dysfunction.
Avatar n tn during my binge drinking alcoholism there was many times i KNOW i had alcohol poisoning. felt like acid running through my veins. your whole body feels bruised. press anywhere on your skin and it hurts. actually have had some purple splotches. i think the important thing for you to do is stop drinking. yes, you may luck out and drink to the point of poisoning yourself and wake up in the morning, but one of these times you won't.

Avatar n tn Hello, The normal range of body temperature is 98 - 99 F by oral measurement. The body temperature is lower in the morning and rises by evening, with a range of about half a degree. In your son’s case, this lowering of body temperature can be due to Tylenol.Tylenol which is an antipyretic when used causes decrease in fever as a result of which sweating is there. This sweat on evaporation cools the body and lowers the te[mperature. So I don’t think that it is much of a concern.
Avatar n tn Even a possibility to alcohol poisoning! Not worth taking the risk again by drinking alcohol for any reason (: Best wishes.

Avatar m tn hi. it would depend on how fast it was consumed and how well her body metabolizes the alcohol. a persons tolerance can increase through repeated abuses, but in general that type of drinking indicates an increased potential risk of developing full blown alcoholism in addition to acute alcohol poisoning. to answer your question, yes, that could be at worst fatal, and at best a prelude to disaster.
Avatar f tn I have hypothyroidism, low thyroid. My body temperature went down, vomiting, diarrhea, always felt cold and fatigued. Avatar m tn Sleep apnea is caused by a body temperature that is too low. This causes you to wake up. There are two causes of the low body temperature: 1) Hypothyroidism 2) Weak kidneys Chinese medicine claims that the kidneys warm the body. Many things can cause weak kidneys. One cause is toxic metal poisoning. Another cause is working too much overtime. I suggest you get a hair analysis from a Naturopathic doctor, to see if you have toxic metal poisoning.

Avatar n tn Hi.. As a recovering alcoholic myself (10 yrs clean), I've done my share of research. After a night of heavy drinking (to the level of losing conciousness) You will smell the alcohol over the next 24 hours as the body detoxes itself. The alcohol is released from the body through the pores of the skin (in addition to "regular" elimination). She drinks to the point of unconciousness because her body is taking in more alcohol than it can process.

Avatar n tn The normal typical body temperature is commonly acknowledged as 98.6°F (37°C). A few examinations have demonstrated that the "ordinary" body temperature can have a wide range, from 97°F (36.1°C) to 99°F (37.2°C). Avatar n tn I believe there is, seriously. My husband will tell you that our 22 years of marriage my body always is what the temperature is. It is frustrating. I can not handle the heat at all, and my husband will tell you my body temperature is HOT and I feel faint in the heat, and when I get cold and cant warm up I have to take a hot shower to do so.Let me know if you figure this out. I KNOW it does exsist because I deal with it!
645800 tn?1466860955 For as long as I can remember I have had a low normal body temperature. It normally run at about 96.3 and since core temperature in usually about 1 degree high this would make it 97.3. I have also read that any core temperature below 97 in considered mild hypothermia. As such it doesn't take much of a lowering of my body temperature for me to start shivering. So it seems reasonable to me that this is the main reason I have always hated cold weather.
Avatar f tn My body doesn't seem to keep it's temperature very well. I tend to go from extremes, either I feel really cold and chilly or I feel really hot and will sweat. I don't understand what is going on with my body. Other than this, I am very healthy and haven't noticed any other problems. This has been going on for the last several months, or at least that's when I really started noticing it a lot more. I'm not overweight at all, at 5'5" and 115 lbs.
