so, i've heard lots of things about diabete's with marijuana or alcohol, so now i want some facts. i've heard that alcohol can make your blood sugar go low but i thought it turned into sugar very fast so it would make my blood sugar high?
i've allso heard of people going low while smoking marijuana, which could be because they have had a over dose. or is the weed causing this? this information would be helpfull before i try marijuana for safety resons.
d be putting a strain on them to process the alcohol, possibly leading to unnecessary inflammation. Less damage, more healthy cells and less strain on that healthy part from alcohol and other toxins.
Like Frank, I can't really imagine going back to old habits like drinking regularly. I have become a true 'social drinker'. The rare glass of wine at a dinner or wedding, but no more visits to the wine aisle in the store, ever.
First off, You are in a sense pickleing your Liver, My father used to do the same thing, he would go on a drinking binge,and not eat,what happens is your liver being like a filter for your body, gets saturated with alcohol, and it will eventually break down and you will end up with Cirrosis, it is also going to create issues with your kidneys.
Although alcohol does affect ferility, I don't think this would be a huge problem right now. I would, however, strongly suggest having her go to her obgyn and getting a full check up. It's better to know up front if there could be any problems and what you guys should or should not be doing.
I understand that mixing Xanax and Alcohol can have serious negative effects. However, my question is mainly about Xanax, and in regard to how long it stays in the system to the point where it is dangerous to mix with alcohol. (i.e., is it dangerous to drink alcohol after 1 day of not taking Xanax?..2 days? etc). Another question, how serious are the long-term effects of drinking alcohol WITH xanax?
I have told people over and over about my experiences with ambien (sleep driving, sleep eating, and hair loss). It made me lose all grips on reality. It also destroyed me physicall and mentally. I wished I would have never heard of the c r a p. I have been clean from it for 6 months and I hope I never experience anything like it again. It was my fault because I wasn't taking it as prescribed. Whatever you do, only take one at bedtime.
t driving anymore and I refused to buy it for him... but now he is driving again and that now means frequent trips to the liquor store. I have talked to him about it and now he just hides it from me (very well I might add).
In the last 2 weeks he has gained 22lbs! That's 10L of fluid!!! All in his abdomen and legs. i don't want to say I'm giving up on him... but if he doesn't care about his health, then should I?
Totally agree and I think we all know that alcohol, in excess, can harm a foetus. I'm not saying by any means that you should make a point of drinking, but within limits I think it's OK - hey, you've just got to be a bit adult and responsible about it... but hopefully we're that anyway seeing as we're grown women and want to bring another little life into the world.
I Had problems with alcohol before but for a long time like a year I was able to drinK two three beers and go to sleep and go to my job and I was happy. For the past 3-4 months my drinking of beer reached more than six packs a day and some times with early morning panic attacks, anxiety forcing me drink at 5.00AM then sleep taper it and same cycle next day. I took a prescription xanax small dose not reaching 1mg a day for the past 4 months. Today I am suffering withdrawals from both.
I've had RAI and am now Hypo. Anyone have any idea from my original question?
My wife and I left for a road trip about 1 hr later in which she drove for the first (3) hours of the trip. I then began driving from that point on. I was later pulled over for speeding and was giviing a breath test. I failed the test and was charged with a DUI. I was stunned because i did not at all feel impaired, buzzed etc. It had been approx 4.5 hour since i have consumed any alcohol.
I understand that the half-life of naproxen in the body is 12-17 hours. My question involves something I haven't found in other forums.
When does it become safe to consume alcohol after taking an NSAID such as naproxen? If I take 1 unit of naproxen at 7:00 PM on Thursday, can I drink at 7:00 PM on Friday even though, according to the half-life, there is still about one-third the amount of naproxen in my system?
This will sound so gross but my two daughters were sick with the flu and we went to the ped. Office two days ago and it seems a little boy had an accident and they were slow to clean it up in an over packed waiting room. We could have walked through the urine but I do not believe my daughters touched the feces, I showed it to a nurse that cleaned it with an alcohol wipe.

at 4 weeks...the antigen in the duo test would have been picked up...IT WASNT. the timing of the other tests were perfect for the antibody to be detected.

t have friends blah blah......i finally AWOKE at age 28 after many episodes of drunk driving,blackouts and alcohol/drug mixes that could've killed me or another as the result of my drunk driving.i recently celebrated 26 years sober and clean......and NONE of my drinking/drugging pals gave a poop about me when i stopped and ended up in a hospital based program...nor do they keep in contact with me and that is good for we have nothing in common anymore since i quit it all.
Yesterday, my doc gave me a test and found out I have Gonorrhea and a UMI. He gave me 4 pills to take. I don't remember the names. He did not give me any pills to take home though, but he did tell me to return on Monday for a follow-up. As of now, there isn't any yellowy discharge coming from my penis and the stingy sensation during urination is gone. Now my question is, is it safe to drink alcohol? Is it safe to have sex? I should wear a condom should't I?
I can't give you permission to drink or not to drink. Normal drinkers drink one or two and then stop. I'm not naive though- I realize that many college kids cut loose and have a few extra on the weekends. In my view, if you were to go to a Friday night party and drink yourself to a pleasant buzz, it's not the end of the world. But that does not mean drinking until you black-out, throw up, or get a DUI.
Drink slow, eat some food while you do it.
