Avatar f tn Wine coolers have far less alcohol than wine. I would think it's fine.
Avatar f tn I'm going to a get together nd my friend is telling me to have a wine cooler, but I'm so scared is it something major if I do I'm 24wks
Avatar f tn I see things I crave as well that have alcohol in them. One 1/2 a glass of red wine is fine according to the obgyns, however if it is going to make you feel guilty or lose sleep at night I wouldn't do it. My birthday just passed and I thought about having a glass, but then I realized that I would end up feeling guilt and beat myself up for it and didn't have a glass after all.
Avatar f tn My birthday is in a few days and I would like my fiancé to celebrate with me. Would 1 wine cooler harm our baby? She's 7 weeks pregnant. I'd rather us be safe then sorry.
Avatar n tn I am not drunk just had one sip. I used to be fine then a few years ago bam I had a wine cooler and this happened. Slowly over the years I can't drink anything.
Avatar n tn I have never been a heavy drinker (at least on a regular basis). I certainly have had my nights of drunken fun, but they are few and far between. Suddenly about 18 months ago, I started getting violently ill the day after drinking. It didn't matter if I had one wine cooler or 5 vodka tonics. I've been to the doctor and had many tests. There were minor problems found, but nothing that would explain the alcohol intolerance. I am now convinced it is fructose malabsorption.
8069122 tn?1407171566 Ive been craving moscato, a really sweet white wine, and now that its hot an ice cold beer right out of the cooler sounds delicious! I can never bring my self to actually drink anyeven though they say its ok.
Avatar f tn Alcohol is never good for the baby. So id say no. With all the autism ths ts going around I wouldnt risk it. But I dont think women that choose to are wrong as long as its just a glass.
1148547 tn?1272052963 my question is is it safe to drink like wine coolers or drinks like smirnoff which has the same precentage of alcohol like wine. will it mess up the baby.
362249 tn?1441315018 Alcohol can trick you. It has calories so must be taken into account in your daily caloric counts but it does dehydrate you. Providing you don't drink alcohol the next day you will rehydrate and be back where you should be providing you didn't immensely go over your calorie intake. I just count it as it is since I weigh in daily.
Avatar n tn A glass of wine is fine during pregnancy after your first trimester, like some other said, your first trimester you want to be very careful, that one wine cooler did not harm your baby though, as long as it was just one
649848 tn?1534633700 A light beer (approximately 100 calories) or a glass of reduced-calorie wine (about 90 to 100 calories) are other lower-calorie options. But if you want to know why some alcoholic beverages contain more calories than others, read on. Pure alcohol contains 7 calories per gram -- that's less than a gram of fat, which has 9 calories, but more than protein and carbs, which have 4 calories per gram each -- but other variables of your drink influence the calorie count.
Avatar f tn 2 TBSP is a serving and has 60 calories and 45 fat calories. The total fat is 5 g (saturated fat 1 g and trans fat 0 g). Now I don't like most "diet" dressings and find they taste waxy or just plain "yucky". This brand of dressings seem to be full of flavor and range in calories from 40 to 80-90 and generally run in the 4 to 5 g of fat range. I also have a lot of salad dressing recipes if anyone is interested. Let me know ...
Avatar f tn I mean I know ur not supposed to drink hard liquor while pregnant, but I heard wine is OK! But what about a wine cooler or two?? Idk I'm really skeptical & I haven't had a drink yet but its weird because that's all I crave is like frozen Margaritas and before I was pregnant I never drank a lot anyway?? What do u guys think?
Avatar n tn Hello, It is usually not the alcohol that produces the allergic reaction to the wine or beer. The other ingredients in the alcohol, such as yeast, sulfur dioxide, and additives are often the culprits. They can cause hives, itching and swelling. Please consult an allergy specialist and get skin ***** tests and blood tests for allergy done. If the skin testing is negative, it is likely that you are intolerant to wine and beer.
Avatar f tn I went thru this many years ago, and found that I had to flood my system with water to stop the burning. I got pain from half a wine cooler. I've never been much of drinker anyway so I just quit drinking alcohol for some time, and then I was fine if I had any type of alcoholic drink. Never did know what the cause was! Wish I could have been of more help to you, hopefully someone else can shed some light on this for you. Take care.
324142 tn?1253822722 t drink wine, so he said a wine cooler, which is more sugar than alcohol like half of one is ok, or even a malt stle, like smirnoff, is ok, but when it came to the wine coolers or smirnoff, only at most a *6 pack* during my last half was ok.....he actually said smirnoff, or bartles and james, apparently those 2 manufacturers add more flavor and sugar to their *drinks* than alcohol.....
Avatar f tn All I could tolerate before was a sip or two of wine/wine cooler lol but lately the smell of beer just makes me drool. Or even seeing it come out of the ice dropping a little water.
Avatar f tn Everyone is making me feel guilty for drinking half a wine cooler :/ the first alcoholic drink this whole pregnancy and now I'm sitting here feeling bad..
Avatar m tn It sounds to me based on what you've said that you may be allergic to alcohol. You say your father and your grandfather can't drink at all. It sounds like this runs in your family. Red wine is difficult to tolerate for a lot of people. I can't drink red wine because it gives me a headache. It's the tannin in the red wine. I found this out a long time ago. You say you are going into the banking field. If you want to you could say that you are allergic to alcohol.

Avatar f tn s Christmas (merry Christmas everybody!) So I just drank a wine cooler which only contains 3.2% alcohol and I plan on drinking an eggnog and brandy mix a little later today when family arrives.. I don't feel drunk but should I pump and dump before I breast feed again? How does that work? Can I just drink water? I really don't want to harm my baby, please help.
Avatar f tn Ive not tried the red one, but the white non-alcohol wine tasted oddly of white grape juice and pop rocks lol.
Avatar f tn You can read up on it you can have a glass of red wine and nothing will happen only once a week tho my whole pregnancy I only had one cup when I was like 4 months and I told my doc about it she said only red wine nothing else a lot of people don't know that so they will probably say your a bad mom lol just Google it
