Common Questions and Answers about Alcohol calories count

alcohol

Avatar m tn calories - they do not provide nutrition (for the most part), and a typical alcoholic beverage has at least 150 calories. Count the number of alcoholic drinks you have a week and multiply by 150 - it adds up pretty quick!
362249 tn?1441315018 Alcohol can trick you. It has calories so must be taken into account in your daily caloric counts but it does dehydrate you. Providing you don't drink alcohol the next day you will rehydrate and be back where you should be providing you didn't immensely go over your calorie intake. I just count it as it is since I weigh in daily.
Avatar f tn This app doesn't decide anything. It just helps you count the calories that you are eating. You have to decide if what you are eating is too many. Keep an eye on your weight tracker, not just your calorie counter. That will tell you if your following your weight loss goal.

Avatar f tn When I input my meals the calories get multiplied double and it doesn't look like my exercise calories get deducted. How can I fix this? Any suggestions?
Avatar m tn So my question is how do I measure how much calories my food has? Some basic ones I can Google and get an idea.. But...
Avatar f tn Well at 2000 to 2200 is too high for a calorie count. I'm a health freak n count calories on a normal prepregnancy lifestyle. I also go get weight bmi measurements every 2 weeks. N my normal calorie suggested intake is 1600 on a high protien diet. And with pregnancy doc recommend that we increase 200 to 300 calories to our diet during mid 2nd trimester n 3rd trimester. So that would put me in the highest 1900. I'm a small frame but fit.
Avatar f tn You surely should not drink any alcohol at all while taking pain medication, or any medication for that matter.
Avatar f tn t even look at carbs the same way anymore! You can even pass up potato chips. I read an article about alcohol in a diet. It faulted alcohol for being even easier to burn than carbs, so your body stores all your food and burns the alcohol instead, hence the "beer belly". Alcohol, as well as other high carb foods also make you crave more alcohol and high carb foods- a terrible cycle to fall into either way.
620923 tn?1452915648 so if I were to count calories, how do u start?......is it very time consuming? I need to start somewhere and would like some guidedance.
Avatar f tn Hi Marcy180, I read your journal entry. You said you are ready to start a new diet. As an aside, have you discussed the fact that you are starting a new diet with your family doctor. It's always advisable to discuss any new diet with your doctor. You say, how many calories am I supposed to eat in a day? I live in Canada. So I use the Canada food guide to plan most of my meals. That's why it's a good idea to consult your doctor.
Avatar f tn I dont understand why when i calculate the amount of calories ive consumed (food+drink) it totalled to 360 but it stated that ive eaten 720cals? Is there something wrong?
7796175 tn?1394475326 This may sound silly but I've been using this app for months and I've only just thought about whether you're supposed to add the amount of calories you drink! There's only a 'food' option, maybe that's just how the app is made but I wasn't sure.. I feel like I'm not getting enough calories for food and the only things I ever drink are ice tea&coffee.
Avatar f tn My calories count is at 1086 and I been doing brisk walk for exercises do I replaced the calories that I walked off if am trying to loss weight
193609 tn?1292180293 But honestly, I dont count calories but I do watch how many I take in. Counting calories is too much work for me.
Avatar n tn prichard16 - yes, the types of calories makes a difference. While I agree with caregiver222, that 1000 calories is 1000 calories; if you make that 1000 calories a mix of fruits, veggies, dairy, lean meats, nuts, etc --- you will be much healthier and more likely to lose weight than if you get that 1000 calories from 5 candy bars (200 calories/each) throughout the day........... there's a huge difference........
Avatar m tn I have a total cholesterol of 110, LDL 65, HDL 33 and Trilycerides 86. I workout every day burning about 800 calories, eat high fiber food full of vegetables, fruits, soy milk, fiber 1 cereals, nuts, whole grain, apple and milk. I'm a vegetaian and never used alcohol or tobacco products. In the last 4 months, I have lost 28 lbs and my current weight is 154 lbs with height 5 feet and 8 inches. What am I doing wrong and why my HDL is so low?
Avatar f tn I am trying to gain weight and I wanted to know if I should count the calories I get from drinking coke or any other drink for that matter.
Avatar f tn Step 1:Count your calories to keep track of how much you're eating. Step 2:Create a caloriec deficit by cutting 250 to 500 calories from your daily intake. Step 3:Add about 60 minutes of exercise into each day. Step 4:Perform overall strength-training exercises two to three times each week to build muscle that will help your body burn calories more efficiently.
Avatar n tn So let me ask this....if a man consumes drugs and alcohol would the ingredients of the drugs and alcohol be present in the womans urine analysis after she consumes his sperm?
Avatar f tn Maybe you have put in a lot of weight and need to reduce your calorie count drastically. What I can suggest is that bring down your calories slowly. The decrease in calorie count should be such that it should not keep you hungry, or expect drastic changes in food habits from you. Also slowly increase the exercise levels especially aerobics to burn more calories. So with time there will be a reduction in calorie intake and a increase in calorie burning with effective and sustained weight loss.
Avatar f tn Your calorie count is too low so your body is going into starvation mode and holding on to anything it can. Increase your calories to 1200 a day and you will start to see some improvement.
Avatar n tn The water in tea doesn't count towards your daily water intake, or have calories. No need to track it.
Avatar f tn Should you count calories or just eat what your body tells you? I didn't count calories before, I'm scared that STARTING during recovery will make me obsessed. But I worry If I don't, I won't be eating enough. My plan is just to generally eat more until I see the scales climb at a rate of around 1-2lb a week until I reach a bmi of 19-20, Then I'll stop and maintain intuitively. Is this a good idea?
