I have had this Dreadful cough since November 2004. The last thing they have had me on is Albuterol liquid form that goes into a nebulizer machine. For the past week i have been having extreme difficulties with my asthma and no matter what i do or where i go nothing is working, my albuterol solution and iprotrium bromide for the nebulizer, my albuterol sulfate inhaler, anti-allergen medications, even herbal treatments nothing is working at all, i have frequented my doctor he says my lungs sound clear and my oxygen blood level is reading good, however there is a tightness in my left lung and its hard to breathe, im having to use the nebulize
There could be several things. You could be in a flare meaning that albuterol is less effective and will require multiple times doses before you see improvement. This would be my first course of action.
Other options would be acid reflux. Acid reflux is often miss diagnosed as asthma. You should discus this with your doctor if you don't see improvement after a few days of following your rescue inhaler prescriptions directions at maximum dosage (around the clock).
You don't mention what drugs they are giving her. A lot of patients do well with Coreg and lasix.
The Coreg, in the right dose, should help her heart beat more efficiently and stronger, helping to pump the fluid from her lungs, and the lasix would help clear the fluid from her system.
Something else that I have had in the past, for CHF, is albuterol. While most doctors don't like to use it with heart patients, it works real well for clearing the lungs.

I have asthma and have to use my albuterol inhaler occasionally. My heart's response to the albuterol is to speed up a bit (maybe 110) for about 15 minutes and then gradually go back to normal. Albuterol is an adrenergic drug and will act like a little boost of adrenalin.
As for the tachy bursts that you have, that sounds normal to me but only because my heart does that often. Then again, I do have arrhythmia issues.

my two years old son has an anemia and now is taking ferrous sulfide 3 bottles he took the first bottle already so befor e the 2 blood test due date he had an allergy asme coughing so his taking liquid ventolin albuterol,and ceron for cough and prednisolone orapred, its ben already 4 days and now i can see under his eyes bruises like sometimes reddish sometimes blue and dark specially at nights.
My daughter has been coughing for a month now, it's not all the time. During this month she has had pink eye and a ear infection. The pink eye went away with meds, the ear infection is now on week 3. She took amoxicillon (the pink one) for 10 days, and now she's starting amoxicillon (the white one) for 10 more days. As for the cough, she has been prescribed 3 different meds for her cough pseudophedrine, prednisone (orapred), albuterol, and now prednisone again.
We are currently using an albuterol inhaler 15 min before his matches, also a Flovent inhaler twice a day, and have recently started taking singulair. Thus far these have not worked. Please help with any suggestions you may have...we are desperate to help our son succeed in the sport he loves.
Is there a significant difference between using an albuterol inhaler as opposed to a Combivent inhaler? I have a family member that receives an extra monthly Combivent inhaler but am not sure if it is safe to use long term instead of the albuterol I was prescribed.
I wrote in to this website when my son was 4 years old and started with transient motor tics, right after having two back-to-back illnesses (with a high temperature) and also after being treated with albuterol for severe asthma. His tics have not been as bad as they were the first time he started having them, but are still present at times. He is also growing out of asthma.
