Hi i am planning to have sex with sex worker in Toronto area. The reason i am going for sex worker is because i am alone and have no GF from very long time. I am planning to have proteced oral and viginal sex.
I recently went through FDA site for effectiveness of condom they state following

I just had a hiv rapid test 44 days from high risk situation (unprotected vaginal sex with Korean escort) and was negative (only one dot) here in Toronto Canada. The doctor wants me to test again in 6 weeks to be conclusive and said the test i did today 95% of people would test positive in this timeframe. Do i really need to test again as on this forum 30 days is conclusive? I'm still very tired all the time and feel like i have a fever but my body temperature in low (96.5-97.5)...

Yeah im in Toronto...Hassle Free takes 2 weeks to get an appointment..the rest of them only do anonymous testing..at the regular 2 weeks.
I just found out about 12 years ago my mate was unfaithful and i have gotten tested recently with an third generation eia antibody test hiv1/2 with reflexes, a rapid blood test, 4 oraquick home tests and all came back negative. But ive read ur post that some people with aids antibodies wont show on those tests. Im very scared that im in that stage and the tests i took arent sufficient enough to know for sure.

Really appreciate the work you guys do. About a week ago I made a stupid mistake and had unprotected vaginal sex with a CSW in Toronto, Canada. She said she was "very clean". I am very worried about a possible HIV risk. I got tested for everything 5 days after the exposure including a rapid test for HIV (neg). I have yet to receive the results for everything else (I will on Wednesday).
Most site you go to are not up to date then. The new guidelines is 3 months and has been since 2004.
2) I believe HIV is not a concern in this case.The Aids Action Committee of Toronto website says no one gets HIV from getting oral. Is this correct?
3) Testing recommended for gonnarhea? HIV? Other STD's?
4) Could the shampoo or conditioner be what is irritating me? Anxiety?
I only ask your help because I am scared to go near my young child (nerves and shame) and lady.Is it safe to have sex with my lady once I determine what is causing the urge to urinate.
Don't want to be the barer of bad news, but STI testing 4 days after an encounter would not be conclusive.
Gonorrhea, Chlamydia, Trich testing can usually be done after 1 week.
Other STDs can take 12 weeks if the normal tests are used. But molecular tests can be done much sooner.
Discuss this with your doctor. I'm a fan of early testing and early treatment so I would talk to my doctor about these, if I were in your shoes.
HIV test is done at 4 weeks after last exposure.
You have HIV specialist Doctors on here telling people 4 weeks depending on the risk is ok and you could live with that---and then you guys over here telling people that 4 weeks is ****---well I trust someone who is actually doing the test on me to give me the right info----I am done with this site. AIDSMEDS is fantastic--this place create anxiety!
um I was with my bf for like a year anyways he left me about a month ago he just left didnt tell me he was leaving I think he may have hiv or aids and has infected me ive been feeling sick for a while off and on but I have not been tested in about a year anyways ive got this rly bad cough and sometimes I feel like its hard to breathe it been like tht for a couple weeks now I dont have insurance and ive been too much of a coward to go to the hospital because im by myself I cnt tell my family...
