Common Questions and Answers about Aids testing singapore

Avatar m tn Hi there I think this information will help someone who (lives) working foreigners in Singapore especially for foreigner works from building constructors to professionals.
Avatar n tn On the day 15th, I did a pcr dna test (Roche) in Singapore and the outcome not detected (negetive). After that I did Elisa antibody test (generation of test not known but the lab claim that Singapore always use most recent test) on week 4, 6 and 8 and all returned negetive. I understand under CDC and FDA, 12 weeks is conclusive but still feel anxious everyday. Each day for me is like a year. Just hope somebody or expert can provide me to what extend can I rely on my test result?
Avatar m tn I have been tested 4 weeks, 8 weeks, 11 weeks and 5 months since my exposure using rapid blood testing. Am I conclusive? Right now I cannot sleep and the nightmare comes back to my mind. I need your honest expertise regarding this issue. I got tested here in Singapore AFA clinic - Action for Aids. I am wondering why CDC and other healthcare clinics tell that the 6 months window period will prevail? Please help me understand the matter. Why others need to be tested 6 months after?
Avatar n tn So, I have used the Rapid Test Kits (2nd to 9th week – each week I got tested) that I have ordered on line and the results are negative Thanks God but still not sure that these online Chinese test kits from Singapore are reliable enough to get me the right results.
Avatar f tn I am a 29 year old female, my possible exposure was over 18 months ago, i recently tested myself using a home self testing kit called EZ Trust Rapid HIV Test Kit (manufacturer is CS Innovations Singapore, product commonly sold by Labpro and Nexus Laboratories). I live in Sydney Australia so i do not have access to the FDA approved Home Access.
Avatar m tn Excellent HIV/AIDS services are readily available in Singapore and elsewhere in Malaysia. It sounds like your father is in good hands. As you ask about testing ("based on this incident"), the answer is no. Strictly from a risk standpoint, testing isn't necessary. However, you were sufficiently fearful to come to a site like this for advice. Most such persons (in this case, your wife) should be tested.
Avatar n tn Dear Doctor, I really appreciate if you could provide me answer as I will need to make appointment and take a 7 hours travel to singapore for testing. I sleep less than 4 hours a day due to the anxiety and everyday for me is like a year. Thank you doctor.
Avatar f tn no I am not from singapore. you can google herpes support groups to look for 1 in your area. because you are not in the US, I can't really help you with the testing you had done either.

Avatar m tn Hi Dr, I am a 28 year old uncircumcised male from Australia. Around four days ago I had unprotected vaginal sex with a CSW (met in bar) in Singapore. She was from north vietnam and probably in her early twenties. Initially she insisted on condoms (worried about getting pregnant) but we ran out and the last session of sex we had was unprotected (probably lasted 15-20 minutes). It was vigorous but she was well lubricated naturally throughout. Washed penis gently with soap water after.
Avatar m tn Nonetheless once I returned to Singapore, I had flu and then sore throat and some rashes but I know symptoms are no indicator. So on the 28th day after exposure, I went to the STD clinic and got a full panel STD test (which goes to the lab) and a 4th gen antigen/antibody fingerprick HIV test done, the results of which are given at the clinic itself. The HIV test came back negative.
Avatar m tn If a woman affected by HIV/AIDS, gives a blow job to a ME, what are the chances for a man to get HIV/AIDS? i have a painful CUT in my penis, due to herpes/pimples and excessive masuturbation. I know The chances are very low, well below 1%, but it is still possible. You do not need visible cuts on your penis, it is possible that you have micro-tears in the skin, from friction during sex or masturbation in the previous day or so.

Is my case consider high risk expourse 2. finish my pep(6 july) and next day(7 july) went for oral quick test using blood instead of saliva( those that test for antibody and result will show in 20 mins) result is negative.

Avatar n tn Hi Doctor, About 5 days ago i had unprotected anal sex with a sex worker in Singapore. I was highly intoxicated and i dont remember much about it. The following days i began to get very anxious and worried about the possibility of HIV infection. Yesterday i went to see a practitioner for a HIV/STD blood and urine test and now have to wait a week until i go back to review the results.
Avatar m tn hello people, i am a 19 yr old boy in singapore. i had sex with a prostitute here 2 days ago. i had got her number online. she was from phillipines. i used condom throughout and touched her vagina with my lips just for a moment. she didnt even give me a blowjob without the condom. i did finger her for a long time. she was very wet and her ***** juice was kinda white. do u think she had hiv? and in the end, she took out the condom and gave a handjob and then i came! that is it.
Avatar f tn Hi. I had protected (with condom) intercourse with a masseur in Singapore. On the 21st day, I went for the following tests - HIV antibody and antigen and the HIV DNA PCR test. Thankfully, all of them were negative. Do i need to undergo any further tests, since my understanding is that the antibody+antigen test should have detected either one during the sero conversion period. Also, the PCR test is said to be effective after 72 hours and that too was negative. Please respond.
Avatar m tn Going thru a bad marriage, I paid 4-5 visits to a legal brothel operating in Geylang, Singapore over the last few weeks. I tried various positions but mainly missionary and oral (the girl gave). For every act, I used Durex Extra Safe condom each time and made sure it covered my penis completely and after ejaculation I removed it very carefully. The condoms were thick and I am certain they didnt break at any time. After the session I had a thorough shower.
Avatar f tn I just found out about 12 years ago my mate was unfaithful and i have gotten tested recently with an third generation eia antibody test hiv1/2 with reflexes, a rapid blood test, 4 oraquick home tests and all came back negative. But ive read ur post that some people with aids antibodies wont show on those tests. Im very scared that im in that stage and the tests i took arent sufficient enough to know for sure.
