I think this information will help someone who (lives) working foreigners in Singapore especially for foreigner works from building constructors to professionals.
On the day 15th, I did a pcr dna test (Roche) in Singapore and the outcome not detected (negetive). After that I did Elisa antibody test (generation of test not known but the lab claim that Singapore always use most recent test) on week 4, 6 and 8 and all returned negetive. I understand under CDC and FDA, 12 weeks is conclusive but still feel anxious everyday. Each day for me is like a year. Just hope somebody or expert can provide me to what extend can I rely on my test result?
I have been tested 4 weeks, 8 weeks, 11 weeks and 5 months since my exposure using rapid blood testing. Am I conclusive? Right now I cannot sleep and the nightmare comes back to my mind. I need your honest expertise regarding this issue. I got tested here in Singapore AFA clinic - Action for Aids. I am wondering why CDC and other healthcare clinics tell that the 6 months window period will prevail? Please help me understand the matter. Why others need to be tested 6 months after?
So, I have used the Rapid Test Kits (2nd to 9th week – each week I got tested) that I have ordered on line and the results are negative Thanks God but still not sure that these online Chinese test kits from Singapore are reliable enough to get me the right results.

As you ask about testing ("based on this incident"), the answer is no. Strictly from a risk standpoint, testing isn't necessary. However, you were sufficiently fearful to come to a site like this for advice. Most such persons (in this case, your wife) should be tested.

Hi Dr, I am a 28 year old uncircumcised male from Australia. Around four days ago I had unprotected vaginal sex with a CSW (met in bar) in Singapore. The HIV test came back negative.

I know The chances are very low, well below 1%, but it is still possible. You do not need visible cuts on your penis, it is possible that you have micro-tears in the skin, from friction during sex or masturbation in the previous day or so.

1. Is my case consider high risk expourse
2. finish my pep(6 july) and next day(7 july) went for oral quick test using blood instead of saliva( those that test for antibody and result will show in 20 mins) result is negative.

Hi. I had protected (with condom) intercourse with a masseur in Singapore. On the 21st day, I went for the following tests - HIV antibody and antigen and the HIV DNA PCR test. Thankfully, all of them were negative. Do i need to undergo any further tests, since my understanding is that the antibody+antigen test should have detected either one during the sero conversion period.
