I use the Advair Diskus 250/50 every 12 hours. My job requires that I talk. It has become difficult to talk with the use of the Diskus. If I stop using it a few days my voice comes back. My Doctor told me to gargle, which I do when I rinse my mouth. I have also tried using biotene moisturizing mouth spray as well as the cream. Nothing seems to help. My employer is always asking when this is going to change. I want my voice back. Do you have any suggestions.
It did not work even after trying it a year. I was then given Advair Diskus 250/50, after 2 1/2 months called the doctor because of using emergency inhaler Albuterol Sulfate 90mgc min 10 times a day.
Albuterol created a vocal cord problem. Now been put on Flovent Diskus 100mgc and continue the Albuterol. Question, do the Flovent and Advair have the fluticasone propionate ingredient in common? Tonight will be my 1st use of the Flovent.

Hi my dosage of advair has been 100/50 for years. Several months ago, I noticed asthma symptoms returning. I saw my pulmonary doc last week and he upped advair to 250/50. How long should it take until I see a noticeable change? Also I have been having a dry cough, which I read can be a side effect of advair. Should that go away eventually?
I am using advair for my asthma and it seems to help with those symptoms and I also have a rescue inhaler Flovent. But i do clean my advair diskus before and after each use. I dont have any infections in my mouth or lung i just have the white mucus and it has only been happening for two months and I have been using the advair about a year now. I heard from someone that the white mucus could be from allergies...is that true?
The sensation lasts for about 2 minutes then gradually relieves my asthma on the whole. i Use a 250/50 Diskus. Also today i had a slight aspiration issue from what i believe to be GERD related but not yet diagnosed. acid keeps washing into my esophagus and twice today it got into the lungs and now i have a non stop sensation that my lungs are hot and irritated! I am officially laying off the hot wings! It's not the first time i have had this type of hot sensation in my lungs.
I'm a little concerned. I'm being treated for asthma--Advair 250/50, Albuterol recue inhaler--but I have no cough or wheezing. Just chest tightness and pressure pain.
