Since I started allergy shots about 1 1/2 months ago my chest feels more tight in the mornings than it use too. I was getting my peak flow readings up to 410-420 on advair with almost no symptoms in the morning. However due to the cost ($240 a month) I switched to using same dose of pulmicort.

I currently am on Advair 5000, Singulair 10mg, Prednisone, Claritin, Mucinex, Flonase, Albuterol (fast and nebulizer) and Xolair injections every two weeks (300mg). To this date I still have problems weekly-monthly. I am not getting better. Coughing seems to be my biggest symptom, I cough so much and so hard that I start hyperventilating. My doctor says there is not much more he can do medicine wise. My life is totally a disaster.

it seems like advair is making my asthma worse. i started taking advair like 7 month ago and it seemed like for the first few months it was working but i had to become dependant on it everyday or else i would start weezing nonstop. after that my weezing was worst than ever and i started noticing that after i used advair my weezing was much worse. i saw this thread yesterday and now for a day and a half i havent used it and i feel alot better.

Is it safe to stop taking Advair cold turkey when my symptoms improve or do I need to take something else to come off it slower?
