707438 tn?1240963240 Hey frustrated, I have seen lots of posts during the last year or so on this forum forum from people with adult ADHD. Many of them were from seriously frustrated people. Do a search for "adult ADHD" in the search box and then tell it to show you all posts. While many of these people may no longer be online, I think you will find it nice to know that you are not the only one out there facing these problems.
Avatar f tn Apparently kids grow out of this and the remainder that carry this disorder into their adult lives are autistic or mentally challenged, which I am neither. My doctor prescribed me clonazepam, which does not work and I'm not taking an addictive, benzodiazepine for the rest of my life. Does anyone relate to my problem and if so what treatments have worked for you? I'm going to go insane!
Avatar m tn (a) Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), (b) Oppositional Defiant Disorder, or conduct disorder, but it is difficult to disentangle those features from those of BPD. I certainly exhibited episodes of hyperactivity-impulsivity or just impulsivity, but I cannot find any detailed information about these early years since everyone who knew me then is now dead or not contactable. 2.7.1.

Avatar f tn i was hoping there were more adults with aspergers here, i know there are alot of parents of newly diagnosed children, and then ofcoarse mj, but are mj and i the only ones? i would like to talk with other adults who are recovering from this disease/disorder.
2190999 tn?1504992491 I ask because my son has a controversial diagnosis named DAMP (Deficit of Attention, Motor control, and Processing). It's a combo of autistic traits, adhd, and an auditory processing disorder. Things have been and continue to be a lot of fun around here, just a little draining on me at times. I'm not in search of any new diagnosis, but this sounds like a good question for his doc the next time we her. What do you think? Good question proud mommy!
Avatar f tn Playing with poop is not typically something that results from ADHD. It is often seen in Reactive Attachment Disorder with children. RAD is often seen in adopted children, where the initial attachment with the biological mother has been disrupted, even if the child was very young or an infant when adopted. It is something that can be easily addressed in therapy, but cannot be eliminated through meds, since it's a response to stressors not genetics.
Avatar n tn Research also shows that sugar does not cause hyperactivity. Many factors can cause children to have problems paying attention besides an attention deficit disorder. Family problems, stress, discouragement, drugs, physical illness and learning difficulties can all cause problems that look like ADHD, but really aren't. Regardless of the cause, ADHD is thought to be associated with a disturbance in functioning of neurotransmitters in the brain.
Avatar n tn A google search landed me hear. It's nice to know that I am not the only one dealing with this. All of my issues are excatly the same that Rick described. The feeling of having to take a deep breath is so annoying. Then when I try to yawn and it's nothing. It's enough to make me crazy. I need to go to my doc and see what is going on. Thanks for giving me some peace of mind to know I am not alone dealing with this.
Avatar n tn And by far (may I repeat) be patient to get regulated. To start your search you can view over many sites. You may find and click thyroid or go directly to -- it's a start. You got testosterone in your corner! That's a good thing!! LOL Keep posting and if you are comfortable get all your panel numbers on your blood work and post them. Stay in touch. Good Luck!
Avatar n tn Did any of you ever find out what caused it? It is annoying! Has finally worried me enough to search here...was thinking maybe i was crazy!?!? Glad to see there IS someone else out there with same thing!
Avatar n tn I've had the same problem__started last summer with what I thought was wax in my ear. Dr. said my ears looked fine but put me on sudafed, etc. It kept getting worse until I started running to ENTs. An audiogram showed a slight hearing loss in bad ear but nothing out- of -line for my age. But my ear kept getting more and more pressure, brain fog set in along with tinnitus, I became sensitive to noise, and my head felt as if someone had poured a pitcher of water into it.
Avatar f tn In looking for whats the cause, I've seen a lot of things, but I don't think I have a sleep disorder, because I sleep great. I've never taken drugs, prescription or non. One message board mentioned that its merely a nutritional deficiency thing, so I'm going to try some multi vitamins. That doesn't seem like it could be it, but i'll try about anything. And if that doesn't work, I'm going to have my head examined.
551343 tn?1506834118 glad to have this type of forum since others don't quite seem to fit. I'm 42yrs old, mother of adult son, but have had undiagnosed symptoms off and on for years. From Joint pain and swelling to lymph node swelling and tenderness to now currently weakness (heavy feeling) and constant tiredness. I was diagnosed about a year and a half ago with a dead gallbladder which was removed...and it was dead.
Avatar n tn After starting to take an oral contraceptive as hormone replacement therapy, it took awhile before the sleep problem eased, but eventually, I was doing really well. That was the situation when I finished graduate school in the summer of 2000 and had a real job, and real medical insurance, for the first time in a long time. I wanted to be sure that my weird symptoms were unusual symptoms of falling levels of estrogen, which did seem to be the cause.
Avatar f tn It hasn't happened to me in years, but all of a sudden at this very moment its back. So I couldn't help but search it online once again and behold. I find you! MAN my typing sounds obnoxious right about now! This has definitely never been documented. It's soo trippy. I really hope we find more people like us!

Avatar m tn My husband says I pay too much attention to my spot and that if I'd just forget it, it would go away. Do you ever get headaches at night from all the squinting and looking at (searching for) your spots? The whole things makes me so depressed sometimes.
Avatar n tn My back pain started as sciatica-like. For years I dealt with it no big deal. This particular pain went from: 1)causing me no less sleep, just waking up with pain to 2) waking up an hour or two early to 3) only being able to lie down for a couple hours before pain started and woke me. From beginning to end about three months. Then 3.5 years at level 3. Anyone want to offer life style specifics?
Avatar n tn I need to clarify.. 25 MCG per adult dose. this is the shot. Half that for children, however, they get another shot a month later. so.. same dose,, just two seperate times.
363682 tn?1299492962 Having read various Google-search items about this which seemed to revolve around an excess of histamine being a possible cause, I decided to try a lapsed prescription I still had in the cupboard for hay fever - Neoclarityn (deloratadine) 5mg. The result is noticeable.
