Adult acne underarms

Common Questions and Answers about Adult acne underarms

acne

Avatar n tn For the past year I have had a really hard time with my underarms. I came back from a trip to Bahamas and my underarms started to itch something awful. I have gone to the doctor and he gave me creams for ring-worm, hydrocotizone, etc, but nothing has worked. I have also change deoderant a number of times, stop shaving, changing almost everything and nothing changes. It does subside for a few days and then it starts up again.
Avatar m tn I am 25 years old, have suffered form adult acne since i was about 14 and had been experiencing lower abdominal pain on my left side for several years. In the last couple of years, I started experiencing hot flashes accompanied by moderate-severe anxiety and depression. Just as an aside, I studied psychology for several years and have earned, not only my bachelors in psych, but also several certifications and honors surrounding my degree ( I start my masters in a couple of months!).
Avatar f tn HI There, I had laser hair removal treatment carried out on my legs, underarms and bikini area 4 days ago. Whilst my underarms and bikini are healing well, I have broken out in an "acne" type rash which is itchy on my legs. I have been taking a piriton at night and piriteze during the day and also using sudocrem on my skin. Is there anything else that I can do to alleviate the itch, speed up the healing and prevent any scarring?
Avatar m tn I saw a dermatologist today for a rash under my arms and groin area. He said it was eczema and prescribed me Vanos. On Vanos' site it says not to use in groin area and underarms. Any thoughts? Is this safe? " Because VANOS® Cream may reduce levels of hormones that regulate your body’s immune system and energy levels (HPA-axis suppression), treatment should not last longer than two weeks or use more than 60 grams a week.
Avatar f tn Can anyone recommend an acne treatment for those cystic acne bumps that take forever to go away? I'm 46 and did Accutane in my 20s with pretty good results until the last several years. I've had the most success with Pro Active, but my skin got really itchy when I wore mineral powder makeup and I kept ruining towels, pillowcases and shirts. I've also tried Acne Free, Murad and Dermatologic plus prescription cream with no luck.
Avatar n tn Although I do have an expensive cream my dermatologist gave me for acne and skin lesions. I forgot the name of it but will post when I remember and am home.
Avatar m tn i have bumps that keep appering on my body, like between my legs, my underarms, my hips, sometimes on my stomach but always surrounding my bellybutton. My skin pretty much just looks like the skin is inflated but when i touch the bumps they're rough. They're not at all like acne bumps. They're not red unless i scratch because they do itch but its only irritating now and then. Ive been to an a doctor and an allergy specialist but they both just said it may be due to stress.
Avatar n tn It commonly occurs on apocrine sweat gland-bearing skin such as in the groin, the underarms and under the breasts. It is also known as ‘acne inversa’. The disease can spread to genitals. It can also be due to staphylococcal skin infections. Wash skin with antiseptic lotions daily to decrease bacteria. Treatment is by topical antibiotics and steroids. Local antibiotics of erythromycin and Clindamycin group also help. Retenoid group of drugs also help. Wear loose fitting clothes.
Avatar f tn My skin is allllll phucked up lol I have acne like a teenager going through puberty and I have NEVER had a problem with acne. Where the heck is my dang pregnancy glow?!!
Avatar m tn Hello, For premature acne, if the acne is protected from the sunlight and sometimes an antioxidant treatment if applied in the initial stage to cure the lesions of acne then it can be cured at the beginning. Then medical treatment is the same as adult acne i.e initially benzoyl peroxide and topical antibiotics are used. But they are to be used under medical supervision and not one one’s own.

Avatar n tn Oh, I'm sorry to hear about this. Skin problems are so emotional in nature too because of how we all are about our appearance. But you are not alone. When the health crisis blows over, seeing a dermatologist may be of benefit to you. They do have things they can prescribe. Retin-A is one of them. Some women also have success going on birth control pills when they have adult acne. Make sure your make up isn't contributing to the issue as well.
11083698 tn?1415151204 Hello, I have had a strong craving for salt for many years now. Close to seven years. I eat salt by itself everyday I feel like I need it. If I get to feeling really tired or weak I eat salt and I perk up. I also have bad adult acne, and I never really had acne as a teenager. I'm not sure if these two things are anywhere near related to each other, but if anyone has any ideas I would love to hear them.
Avatar n tn ) They gave me this pamphlet about it and I saw pictures of women who get them on their underarms like me, legs, and on the lips of the vagina. I recently got one on the labia and it hurt so bad. The doctor gives antibiotics to prevent spreading and to get rid of it because it is an infection. Sometime if they get to big to fast they will lance it with a scapal and line it with doctors tape to let the pus and blood drain out (not a pleasant odor). Hope this helps...
Avatar m tn at first i thought that it was just acne but it never went away. They are all over the underside at none on the top. they are the excact same colour as my skin just slightly elevated. There not painfull at all there not red or any other colour than my skin there just there and its a reall eye sore because there cleary visible when you look at on top of my reguler acne. 1388445 tn?1289267388 About a year ago my husband started developing adult acne. He's 26 years old. Since then it has just gotten worse and worse. It now covers his cheeks, most of his fore-head and down his neck and its starting to scar. It seems like we've tried everything! over the counter acne soaps, creams, lotions, pro-active, prescrisption medication, good hygene; washing his face alot. Sometimes it gets to the white head but some are just bumps. it looks, like irritated.
Avatar n tn the dermatoligist gave me antibiotics and some kind of acne cream, which did not work. then the regular doctor gave me some antibitics and they barely did anything. i am becoming very concerned and i just want an answer to what it might be. the doctors told me to not shave under there so i don't. i have read some things that say it could be a swollen lymph node, swollen hair follecle, and staph infection. please is there ANY doctor out there that can help me?
Avatar m tn Sometimes anti acne lotion can help such as clindamycine or benzac 10% . The bacterias causing zits can sometimes be same bacetrias causing smell. Do please check a dermatologist before proceeding with these lotions. You can apply 3 times in day for a month, and changing socks everytime. Fungus: check for topical antifungus like clotrimazole . Again, check with dermatologist.
Avatar f tn that was very noticable and some on the front of his chest that were much larger than acne. He said it was from adult chicken pox? He also had an enlarged lymph node on his neck. He is going to good school in the United States from out of the country and I'm very worried. I have started to develop slight symptoms such as yeast infection, a couple of days after I got sick (no fever), slight fatigue and now I think I might have a lesion on my tongue.
Avatar n tn Hi. My skin has always been clear but about six months ago I got acne. The acne on my face keeps spreading. It's starts off as very small bumps on my face which later get red and swell a little. I also have lots of whiteheads and my acne. I've tried tratree oil and niacinamida and none of them seem to work. Any ideas to what to put on my face?
Avatar n tn Now I have persistant and large acne on my cheeks and jawline, including cystic acne. The acne is ever present and not just once a month. My current dermo (not the one who proscribed Accutane) tells me that it's hormonal (I believe this) and that I will just have to deal with it for the rest of my life (I don't want to accept this). She does Cortosone injections on occasion for the cysts because I cannot, for the life of me, leave my face alone.
