Avatar n tn I also deal with insomnia, chronic fatigue, brain fog/ADHD-like symptoms/lack of focus, and severe memory issues. But I was diagnosed with PTSD in the military (non-combat related) so the doc didn't really take these seriously. I'm sure there are more symptoms but these are the most severe and the ones that limit really limit me in daily life.
Avatar n tn What is it your grandson does that causes his Mom to ground and whip him, could you enlarge on his behavior for us to understand , you say he is sweet so perhaps his Mom is tough on him? what is it he steals and why, have you had a quiet chat wiith him to ask him, that could be a good idea , get his viewpoint and ask how he feels.
Avatar m tn Although no one who truly has ADHD "loses" it as they grow older many learn to control it and cope. ADHD does not grow worse with age however. Other mental conditions, such as bipolarity, does. The fear you have may be anxirty based. Have you seen a therapist or any sort of psychological doctor? If you truly think you have issues I can't tell you haw good it is to finally know that there is a name for what you are experiencing and you are not to blame.
Avatar f tn t already done so) you need to become an expert in ADHD. One source that can get you started is this article from the WebMD. It seems fairly unbaised. http://www.rxlist.com/attention_deficit_hyperactivity_disorder_adhd/article.htm It should be obvious to you that neither of you can continue to go on the way it is now. It is certainly time for a change listen to the professionals - hopefully, it will get only better. Good luck. If you have any other questions - ask!!
Avatar f tn Not sure why you posted on the ADHD forum, but .... typically, it takes one to two weeks for the infection to resolve itself (webmd). If you are on multiple doses of zithromycin (with no more bad symptoms), I would expect things to be getting better soon. If that was a single dose of zithromycin, then yes, there is a very good chance it did not get into your system. I am guessing you took it on an empty stomach?
788117 tn?1304011947 Have you considered having weekly total calories eaten and expended like WebMD? They also allow for tracking the calories expended doing specific daily activities like sleeping, desk work, shopping, etc. That way you can account for all the calories you burn in one day (not just those related to exercise) and compare them to all the calories you consume. I like their diet tracker very much but I like that Med Help has trackers for my migraines, my mood, etc.
192055 tn?1263555537 So one of the first things you want to do is to become more aware of what ADHD is and what it does. This site should help. It is from WebMD and seems fairly unbiased -- http://www.rxlist.com/attention_deficit_hyperactivity_disorder_adhd/article.htm I think the next thing is that you need some kind of a goal or focus. Your life now is very different then when you were in the highly regimented school system. You probably need to set something like that up for yourself.
Avatar n tn I disagree a bit here. Intelligence does matter simply because it allows a kid with ADHD to skate by in school. Kids who should be getting A's, get B's and C's, and everybody says thats cool. Or if they have really good intelligence, they can go through most of middle school (usually Algebra does them in), until it becomes too much. The problem is by now, psychological damage has been done.
1086730 tn?1258451978 Yeah, I'm very tired everyday unless I get caffeine, I avoid most of the time, but when I need it for school. (like a project day or something, i'd consume it. I'd get these random feelings that make me lose control of myself for 10-15seconds MAX. But it gets more frequent when I consume more caffeine, or when i'm excited.
9584608 tn?1413678892 Has anyone ever had this or has it now? I was looking at WebMD and with my symptoms I've been having, it kind sounds like that may be what I have. My symptoms are frequent heartburn, feeling a pressure on my chest that makes it hard to breathe, and an acidy taste in my mouth.
Avatar m tn WebMD has a link for this but according to WebMD, you are supposed to fast and drink in the morning if you want to examine kidneys and eat a fat-free meal the night before for liver examination well I was directed to only fast and drink nothing in morning before the taste- I probably didn't eat fat in the night before but I was wondering what this examination of the abdomen can discover- there was only a technician conducting the test who couldn't answer any questions and the test appli
Avatar f tn Look them up on webmd for detailed description. Make sire you have your sic check it out when you go, and maybe see if you can go in early for this if it is really uncomfortable. They are common in general with constipation and with pregnancy for that and other reasons. Tucks and Preparation H will help with the discomfort. Webmd has other suggestions as well. Good luck!
Avatar m tn but i went on webmd and they say some symptoms are....fever,swollen lymp nodes, sore throats, night sweats, confusion...??????? so if your telling me there arent really any symptoms for it then why does webmd state this?
Avatar m tn You can look this up on the web. I just googled and look at WEBMD. According to that site, if it you take too much long term, it can have affects like, constipation, upset stomach and kidney stones. I don't see anything about taking it for a short term. If you are concerned, make sure you drink plenty of water. WEBMD suggests 2000IU per day for an adult.
Avatar f tn I believe you've already asked this on the webmd herpes board. You got an answer there and you won't get a better answer here I can assure you.
481600 tn?1208978175 Try googling it. Or look it up on webmd. That is what I did to find out about the new medicine I am on. You can search medications alphabeticaly on webmd and it will give you lots of good info without too much confusing medical terminology. It is hard to say if it works or not, because just about all medicines work for some people and not for others. It seems to be a trial and error sort of thing. Good luck.
Avatar f tn I just read on webmd that long walks aren't good. Just take short walks.
Avatar f tn My period is 3 days late and today I started having continual sharp pain in my left side that spreads to my uterus. I've looked at WebMD, but nothing I found really sounded like what I have. Does anyone have any suggestions?
Avatar f tn And tylenol, but nothing that says multi symptom. I think webmd has a list.
Avatar f tn No signs of cancer, inflammation or stones. Urologist referral. No known history/trauma. Any thoughts before I WebMD myself in a panic?
Avatar f tn Levaquin a a pretty strong broad spectrum antibiotic. I was told it was effective against staff also, when I had a cut on my leg that wasn't healing. There is an article on webmd about leep and side effects. Type leep in the webmd search engine.
Avatar m tn you also posted this on webmd right?
Avatar f tn You have to go to the web site and log on to your profile. I think is webmd, or helpmd. Then you can download on there and it will apply to your app.
Avatar m tn Some sites (e.g., WebMD, Seattle Children's Hospital) claim that ringworm will stop being contagious after 48 hours of applying a fungicide cream, and then should clear up after 3-4 weeks. Is this 48 hours rule of thumb mostly factual? I have a ringworm infection and put on clotrimazole cream, but am afraid to reinfect myself, or spread it to family members.
Avatar f tn s been hard to find a primary care physician. One asked if I had been on WebMD, treating me like a hypochondriac.
