Common Questions and Answers about Adhd symptoms org

Avatar f tn There was a mother speaking about her three children with Lyme who exhibited symptoms of ADD, ADHD and OCD. The good news is once they got treated for Lyme, those symptoms diminished. Perhaps you should get your children tested also. I understand your concern as I am a mother of a 4 month-old who I am afraid will come down with symptoms some day. So far he is healthy, but there is always a fear that I passed this to him during pregnancy.
Avatar n tn When at home, he will run around silly, headbutting the chair and jumping and climbing everything. This, to me sounds just like ADHD, and believe me, i've researched this well - but i dont think he has this. I've recently discovered that hes REALLY naughty when he has an empty tummy - if i provide a snack for his snack-time at pre-school, which he isnt too keen on and he doesnt eat, he will behave really badly.....
473036 tn?1211760512 Thanks Cryslas, the symptoms also sound like some of the ones for adult ADD what is hypersexuality? in women can these symptoms get worse when you are all hormonal and due for a period, especially the depressive feelings?
Avatar f tn My son is 10 years old, has been diagnosed with Tourette Syndrome, ADHD and OCD. He has a lot of other symptoms going on over the past 2 years though that don't quite fit into any of the above conditions it seems.
1734603 tn?1310425995 For over 6 months, I've experienced some bizarre symptoms which are probably related. There is no supposed cause, even after I've had a CT scan, an EEG and visits with two neurologists. They've found nothing wrong (ie No brain tumor, no meningitis, no poison, no neurological abnormalities). I know for a fact that all these things are real and have happened to me. Family and friends have seen my symptoms in action. I just need to know what I'm dealing with and how to make it better.
Avatar n tn and shares most of the same symptoms and long term effects! While researching an answer to all of the awful symptoms I experienced during my Paxil withdrawal, I was unable to find any medical resources listing Paxil as a source of these particular symptoms we all experience. Guess where I kept finding my search results directing me to? Heroin withdrawal.
Avatar n tn I want to know if these are withdrawl symptoms or has this medication interacted with the Adderall she takes for ADHD. I am scared to death and her so called Dr. is no help.

Avatar m tn If (as it sounds) your symptoms have come up suddenly, I wouldn't think it's ADHD resurgence. You perceive the difference in yourself, and that's what matters. [fwiw, there is some thought that the epidemic of ADHD may be a manifestation of Lyme and other tickborne infections.] What matters is your perception of your change in mental and physical functioning, and you describe it well.
Avatar f tn Like I said, my son is now 12. He not only has severe tourette syndrome, adhd, ocd, major mood disorder but post tramatic stress disorder (won't get into this now). Last December he started passing out again and they saw on tape where his heart stopped again. Hospital kept him for a few hours, it's stress and we are on our way (of course I am telling them it is not a problem - the doctors assured me). But, now, it is too frequent!!! This is the same stuff again - you just don't forget it.
Avatar m tn Withdrawal is not counted for those taking medications under medical supervision such as analgesics, antidepressants, anti-anxiety medications or beta-blockers.) 6.the substance is often taken in larger amounts or over a longer period than was intended 7.there is a persistent desire or unsuccessful efforts to cut down or control substance use 8.a great deal of time is spent in activities necessary to obtain the substance, use the substance, or recover from its effects 9.
Avatar f tn I know when we saw tell tale signs of adhd in our first child, we wanted to look the other way and make up excuses for him but it finally got to the point where it was getting harder and harder for us to deal with him. As soon as he started his medication -- at the age of seven -- he came to me and I asked how he was feeling and he said I finally feel good -- it broke my heart that we had waited so long.
2190999 tn?1504992491 The children are usually developmentally delayed and show symptoms similar to autism and ADHD. We have a woman on this forum with this experience. Hopefully she will see this and chime in. I believe she said her son has been on antibiotics for 2 years and is vastly improved.
Avatar f tn I felt like I wasn't as articulate as I used to be. All symptoms would last a few weeks and then go away. When I was 6 months pregnant, I found a tick in my ankle. The head broke when I tried to pull it. It was a nymph. But not engorged. I don't think it was in there long. I was not treated.
Avatar f tn Also, The Hanen org. and the autism research center where I live consider ADHD on the spectrum.
405614 tn?1329147714 If you know of any studies to the contrary, that would be very helpful He also said that the information that I had a resting heart rate of 150 while taking Cylert around 1995 (psychiatrist thought I might have had ADHD) would show that similar drugs could also be hazardous to my health, and therefore Ritalin may not be a good substitute for Provigil. I was being seen at Network Behavioral Health Care, which no longer exists, was taken to Providence in an American Medical Response ambulance.
573038 tn?1235398145 Its been two years now and my health has got continuously worse. every day i experience these symptoms now.. Heart palpitations 'fluttering' in my chest. Rapid heart beat whenever i move in the slightest. Dizziness all day every day Head pain Pressure in my head like its filled up with something and about to explode Pains/tingling & numbness in both legs and arms(it varies) And face.
Avatar f tn does not seem to concern however his symptoms (constand ringing in right ear, weakness in limbs, shorterm memory loss, hands swelling, dizziness etc.) have all come about withing the last two months but slowing coming togeather over the past two years and progressively getting worse. Whata do I do.
Avatar n tn Do you have rapid heart beats or any other symptoms if so it could be panic attacks! Have you been under stress? P.
Avatar n tn Could be neurological Lyme disease. See and here's a symptoms list for you. I have it and had a LOT of eye problems, sensitivity to light, etc. Very nasty bacteria once it gets into the central nervous system. You have to find a Lyme specialist, though. Doctors don't know about it or its co-infections, believe me.
1318351 tn?1313385021 Since the pre-snycope episodes occur even when you're sitting, I--having had the same experience--would hazard a guess (given your tests) that you are indeed experiencing Vagal symptoms. Some people are just more sensitive to signals from inside their bodies, and the irony is that the more you 'listen' to these signals, the twitchier the Vagus becomes.
Avatar n tn Doctors seem to think it is somehow in my head but I too am concerned that I could be doing some kind of real damage. I have read other postings on running sites that indicate the same symptoms and everyone points to PF but that is not what this is. I hope that someone will respond with some answers but in the meantime it is good to know that someone else is experiencing the same things.
4451049 tn?1387157037 From my understanding, some people have multiple negative Lyme test and only a LLMD has the sense enough to diagnose just based on symptoms. I don't want to go at this alone, but I don't want to end up in a nursing home either. Only I know what's really going on better than anyone. Particularly when they don't even know me. That's why they are so reliant on routine labs, which in my case were completely normal.
Avatar n tn Calling me retarded would've been nicer. Why don't they want kids who are medicated for ADD/ADHD? Do they think we'll distribute the meds? No offense, but diabetes is a lot worse on the grounds of disqualification/discharge than that. I can understand the front line stuff, but there are a lot more opportunities behind the front lines for these issues. I don't even want combat arms, I'd be perfectly comfortable in supply or something like that.
Avatar n tn If you've been diagnosed with Chiari 1 and they haven't mentioned surgery, you'll just need to keep track of any symptoms and get regular MRI's. The most common form of Chiari Malformation is Type 1, it often manifests later in life (not at birth, but sometimes in children) with headaches and cerebellar symptoms like dizziness and memory/concentration problems. The cerebellum in the lower back of the brain starts extending down past the skull into the spine.
Avatar n tn A dear lady friend of mine that is a wonderful family counselor and ex-girlfriend turned me onto Sai. She runs a chapter for the US Sai org in Portland and goes to India to visit. She has seen the "calling cards" - manifestations etc. in person. I've read the core of the books written about him - most of them by his early followers some of whom are Psychiatrists and so on.
Avatar n tn Are we gonna make it like Rocky? Tingling 2 the Revenge? My suggestion on how to already known! Ok, I don't want to transform all of you in a bunch of drug addicted, but have you tried a tranquillizer just once? Just to see whether your tingling diminishes the moment you calm down? @rnneeedshelp: as my "colleague" has written, you are anxious over the symptoms, not the opposite, and the same is for all of us.
Avatar n tn since he was 5 months old he has gotten fevers up to 106 (never lower than 102). He has never had any other symptoms except one UTI. I've taken him to numerous hospitals and pediatricians and no one can give me any answers. He isnt in daycare and i also have a 7th month old daughter who never catches what he has which makes me even more scared. His peds have done tons of blood work but could never come up with anything.
Avatar n tn It's action is such that discontinuation of Ultram will cause withdrawal symptoms. Ultram withdrawal is sometimes more prolonged than with narcotics. Your doctor may know nothing about this because many doctors think because it is not classified as a narcotic it is "safe" and has no addiction and withdrawal potential. My advice to you is to go back on the Ultram or a narcotic for a period of time and taper your dosage down by about 10% every few days.
