Avatar m tn I am a candidate for PI due to ED. I have had TURP several years ago so no felt ejaculation. I am easily aroused with what seems like a good hard erection then have sudden loss about the time ready to enter. Other than normal question about surgery and recovery of which mostly answer here in forms, I have question of desire loss and feeling during intimacy after PI, from what I have read her feeling is natural, and sometimes better but what about his/mine.
Avatar f tn Hi my son is 11 yrs old and was diagnosed with adhd when he was 5-6 yrs old. I was told recently the left side of his heart is enlarged. I was told its level 3 and he needs more tests. I was also told to keep him off all stimulants. Im freakin out, is this as serious as it sounds? Does adhd meds like concerta cause this condition ?
Avatar n tn t know if you know anything about ADHD-PI but its like the opposite symptoms of regular adhd, instead of hyperactive they are down right fatigued, and sluggish. This type usually doesn't even get diagnosed, but my son is home schooled and i'm the one teaching him so I know he is trying his hardest, but really unable to focus, and the poor kid was waking up tired, after sleeping 12hrs.
Avatar n tn In fact its just the opposite, he is beyond mellow. Recently I read about ADHD PI and this seems to describe my son perfectly. I guess my question is would it benefit my son if we look into treatment for these problems or is he old enough that he can start to learn to control this himself? I'm worried because I'm not going to be there to help him forever.
Avatar m tn If a person is treating with the PI drugs and fails to get SVR.does it mean that you cant use the PI`s ever again.this is what im gathering from what ive been reading ...looks like its do or you know what....man...sometimes i wonder how i deal with all thie stuff.
Avatar m tn Maybe one day they will use the PI as maintenance for the ones who dont respond to SOC and PI drugs.Ive heard of aids people liiving a lot longer now because of the PI`s too. Some are with aids for 25 years and still doing ok. "An apple a day keeps the doctor away, But if the doctor is cute forget the fruit.

Avatar m tn What is the difference between an Argon lasers to perform a (PI) procedure in the doctor’s office compared to YAG (PI) procedure in at a surgery center? Which procedure will produce the best outcome for the patient? Are there more complications with the Argon Vs YAG? I understand both argon and YAG equipment are used to perform (PI) so which is the better process for the patient?
Avatar n tn I have a fullness, painful pressure on my left side and tightness in my left lower back. i have gotten it before while on certain medicines (stimulants, anti-anxiety medications) and at certain times of extreme anxiety though it usually goes away and this time it hasn't. I just went to a yoga class and now afterwards it hurts even more.
Avatar n tn The next day I went back to the doctors and they told me the PI was fine and the only thing it could be was that the cornea is plateauing covering up the PI. I think they called it plateauitis. I can't find anything written about this problem. They state they want to keep me off the drops and when an attack occurs they now have to see the eye during the high pressure. I think it is very dangerous waiting in an emergency room with a pressure of 60 waiting for a specialist to see me.
Avatar m tn From what I understand the next generation pi's are far superior. I wonder it they will have the same hoops to go through or will they sail along because of the trials of pi's before them? Anyone have any idea?
232778 tn?1217447111 I was thinking about this recently. If somebody try's a PI, and fails / builds resistance to that PI, then re-infects somebody else in the general population with Hep C - won't the disease gain resistance to that PI? The new mutation could spread, and become the standard for Hep C (given the new resistance, will make it live longer). Are PI's a short term fix, that the virus will eventaully become resistant to?
Avatar f tn He was told to do laser PI to prevent the glucoma first. Just wonder if the laser PI is needed and is it will worsen the catarct situation since he plans to have the cataract removed at least 6-9 months later.
751342 tn?1534360021 I knew it would work! They want me to extend out to 52 weeks, though. I already decided to take myself off the study after the 12 weeks of the study drugs. My job is on the line, I start Grad school in the fall, and I've had just about every side effect there is from the SOC drugs. It would have been nice to get the PI in the beginning, but it didn't happen. I was still detectable at week 16 on those 2, and they are the ones causing me to be so sick! OK, done with my rant.

Avatar f tn I recently had my annual eye examine at which time I was diagnosed with close angles of both eyes which elevates eye pressure. Laser Peripheral Iridotomy (PI) surgery was recommended as a precautionary measure. The procedure was performed on my right eye on April 11, 2012. During the healing process I notice a vision distortion in my right eye and canceled the left eye Laser Peripheral Iridotomy until the problem could be diagnosed.
Avatar n tn If your talking about the third drug being the PI as info they have not been approved for genotype 2, 3 and 4. If you are genotype 1 some insurance companies will initially deny the PI because it is so costly. Your doctor will have to start an appeal process with the insurance company which may take a little time but usually in the end the PI is approved.
Avatar f tn Vertex knows this and is working on the second generation of PI. I love this link about all the meds in the pipeline and their status. http://www.hcvdrugs.
