I am a stay at home mother with three young boys. I have been taking zoloft (100mg daily) for depression for about nine years. The only times I was not taking zoloft is during my second and third pregnancies (and, boy, it was tough). Zoloft has changed my life - and my family's happiness.
Just recently I was also diagnosed with ADD. My doc gave me adderall 10mg IR to try.
I'm on Adderall 10 mg tab (not XR) 2x daily for my ADHD but it seems really weak, especially in the morning. I'm also taking generic Zoloft at 75 mg a day in the morning with breakfast simultaneously with the Adderall. Also, I've been on Adderall before without Zoloft and it seemed to be more effective, though I was on a 15mg morning regimen.When I take the Adderall in the morning with I barely feel a difference, except a very minor dry mouth.
I'm diagnosed with ADHD and depression at 25mg amphetamine tab daily (15 morning, 10 lunch), and 15mg Sertraline every breakfast, respectively. Regarding the ADHD, my psychiatrist told me I should probably take a "pill holiday" with the Adderall every once in a while when I don't study or when I am not doing much work. I tried that once, but I think it somewhat threw off my treatment for depression.
If I could I would go cold turkey from zoloft so I could go right back to taking the adderall. Adderall is the only thing that has EVER made me feel good and like I had the chance at a normal life. It may sound overly dramatic, but it's the only thing that ever gave me even hope. It really felt like a miracle to me and I hope it has the same effect on you. You sound so much like you have felt the way I have, so it wouldn't surprise me if it had the same effect on you.
And was placed on Pinodol. He is also on Suboxone for loratab addiction. He has been put on adderall then taken off due to it not helping him. Was put on Vyvanse and was having severe side effects from that. So he was placed on the same dosage of Adderall that he was on previously. 20 mg 2 times a day, and was also put on Zoloft. I was wondering what other medications would help with mood problems and anger issues? And what would be the fastest acting medication he could take?
I also fear drugs because I was incorrectly put on Zoloft as a teenager for depression when in fact it was PCOS, and it put giant gaps in my memory while on it. I have heard that Adderall helps, but that it will turn you into a zombie, and my line of work requires thinking outside the box and being quick on your feet. Who should I talk to for help?
Also have ADHD. Meds were Zoloft, Adderall. Had two major depressive episodes on that combo. Abilify 5mg was added and the sun came out. Was later DX with BPII. ALSO, after 8 yrs on Abilify, had unexplained weight gain of 15-20 lbs. in spite of good diet, reg exercise. Now weaning off Abilify due to wt. gain and titrating up on Lamictal for obvious mood swings. Idk, Abilify worked well for me with Zoloft for approx 8 years. Good luck to you!
If you only the twitch in you neck when your anxious than thats just a symptom of you anxiety and not a side affect of the meds. Anxiety/depression causes physical symptoms too. My whole body shakes and I get chills when I feel a panic attack coming on. You may need both and if so thats fine especially if the combination works better for you. You may need the adderall for your ADHD. I don't think Zoloft helps with ADHD but I'm not sure.
m just wondering how long you had or have been on Adderall. A lot of your symptoms are consistent with taking Adderall, especially on 80mg. I took Adderall and after two weeks I was paranoid, thought people were talking about me, police following me, depressed and anxious to the max!! After I stopped it the symptoms slowing got better. Come to find out all those thoughts were crazy and not true. I thank God I stopped that med.
I am on an antidepressant and adhd medication (adderall). I have a h/x of depression and I don't think it is fully treated or I am at the age where it may be becoming more pronounced. I am in my late 20's and I want to have children but my obgyn always reminds me that I will have to come off of my meds when I start trying to conceive, during pregnancy, and while breastfeeding. Due to the number of depressive episodes I have had I am going to be on meds for the rest of my life.

I posted earlier (titled "what the heck?!) b/c today I was just fine -- better than fine one minute; so happy to have my life and MIND back, but then later I was severely depressed, stressed out, anxious, and crying.
Concerta, 30mg Adderall IR, and 30mg Adderall XR. Concerta gave me migraines. Adderall XR completely sucked. Adderall IR was the best medication that I found until Vyvanse. Now I think Adderall is horrible in comparison.
I've been taking 30mg of Vyvanse for a few months now. This has been my adjusted dose from trying 20mg, 30mg, and 50mg. 50mg was wayy too much at the time. 30mg was perfect until about a month ago. It lasted about 12 hours, a huge improvement over 4 hours of Adderall IR.

The doctor took me off of zoloft + adderall due to pregnancy & put me on the wellbutrin... Zoloft was working great for me. Despite gaining 40+lbs over a one year span, i felt great! My depression & anxiety were completely resolved! But the dr was affraid of possible birth defects & said this was a better choice. I feel drained & the eye problem + vertigo type feelings...
So, I’m supposed to get better from sleeping all day and having no motivation with medication that has these side effects? It makes no sense! They should prescribe Adderall for people who are depressed...
I have been in quite a few bad wrecks and got started on the meds then, now i have recently been diagnosed with a herniated disc/sciatica, plus my therapist is starting me on Zoloft next week for my depression. My spine dr prescribed me 60 10mg hydros for my back and i took all of them in 6 days, not good. I have a high tolerance and usually get 30mg roxys from a friend, they dont really give me a high anymore, just feel i have to take them to have any motivation or to be social.
I'm hoping someone here can help, perhaps a Ph.D. or someone with knowledge/experience of medicines--
I have been diagnosed ADHD since I was a little kid (early grade school) and diagnosed with social anxiety at 17yrs old (towards the end of high school). I've been on and off multiple medicines for both (I've been on 5-10 different drugs; see my personal feedback below on some of the meds if you are interested in that information). I also very much think I have OCD.

I got sent to a special school all thru high shool they had me on 30mg adderall 100 mg zoloft every morning total 4 years huge interaction Now it is like 9 years later & I've started taking meds again adderall in the morning 4 my adhd & xanax 4 my anxiety & agoraphobia the drs started me on xanax like 3 years ago & I was on a low dosage until a few months ago when my drs changed I went from having anxiety free full nights sleep with 1mg of xanex but then the dr upped it to 2
