I currently take Levothyroxine 88mcg(μg) in the morning and 2 doses of Adderall (instant release, not XR) 20mg - one in the morning before classes and the second one whenever I need it depending on my classes that day or things I need to work on. I also later added Celexa 20mg which helped a lot with the anxiety and mood swings - especially from the "crash" of the Adderall. But with ADD meds, no one can tell you what will work best for you, or what dosage, before you try it.

Anyone here taking Adderall XR or IR, if so what is the dosage you're on and which one do you prefer?

I been taking adderall since before i can remember, atleast 18 years on and off but mostly on. Ritalin never worked... Im 26, 5'5 and weigh post partum at 7 weeks 152 lbs and im at 30mg ir 3x a day. I recently had to switch my add meds from adderall xr to vyvanse and I am on day 2 and I feel like I havnt taken anything. ve had weekly checkups to monitor my dosage and my doctor and I have slowly worked up to 30 mg of adderall a day (20mg XR AM and 10 IR PM). Since that first week I've been feeling TIRED when taking my adderall and don't think it's working very well anymore.

he is now doing wonderfully on Adderall XR. His brother has been on Focalin XR for 2 years and does well on it. Neither has any side effects.

What dose of short acting Adderall was she taking before? What dose of the Adderall XR is she taking now?

I have a real sensitive stomach and immune system, and am allergic to a lot so I would think that you can handle most of these. The best working were the Daytrana, Adderall XR, and Vyvanse, and the Adderall you are taking may be different than what I take(XR) The other Adderall hurt my stomach and made me sick if I didn't eat, but I have no problem with the XR.

and to answer your question, no, it is not a common reaction for adults on Adderall to act that way if there using it for what it is prescribed for and not over abusing it. and if its the right med for the person.

I have sever ADHD and have my whole life so I do not relate to the fatigue but Wellbutin has done wonders for me with my Adderall XR. I was very sceptical of taking Adderall because I am an addict but have never abused my ADHD meds as, like you, they calm me and do not give me the high they do others. I opted out of the regular Adderall specifically because of that reason because I work really long days and was afraid I might pop an extra pill here and there.

I have been taking the "generic" Adderall 20 mg tablet for some years now (6-7) I requested the generic since it is cheaper, but since it is a tablet and not a capsule, Im aware that all that time it was IR, not XR as the prescription requested. I took a break for about 6 months, and now, going back to school I have started back up on Adderall 20 mg XR capsule.
