he was warm and laughed alot although still had hard time getting going but just seemed happier and healthier. The doctor wanted to keep him on adderall XR at a higher dose , 30 ml. and a short acting adderall at noon also 30mg. Since back on adderall ...very motivated at times but moody , not sleeping , and so many mood swings and side effects. It makes him very tired at times and lay in bed all day. Could some of what he is dealing with be a side effects from coming off the prozac?
I am a 48 yr old female diagnosed with recurring severe depression. When I am not taking my meds, I am tired, can sleep all day, am completely unmotivated to do anything and do not want to socialize with anyone. I have tried several different meds and am currently taking Celexa and Adderall XR. My psy says that adding the Adderall will "kick in the Celexa" and make it work better. I have a love/hate realationship with the Adderall.
That website was fascinating. I should have read it when you referenced it in earlier threads. I watched the videos. When the doctor was talking about the 2D6 pipeline he said that some people have narrower pipelines than others. I guess mine might just be on the wider side. I was also on a very low dose of Prozac and only 20mg Adderall a day back then. I suspect my psychiatrist must have known how Prozac and Adderall interact.
They tried putting him on Prozac which was a disaster and changed the dosage of his Aderall XR. We took him back off the Prozac and increased his Aderall again. He seemed to do much better and the Psychiatrist did not see the need to have any more appointments because my son improved so well. Now, again at the start of the school year he is complaining that he is still depressed and thought about killing himself 4 times this past week.

I have a real sensitive stomach and immune system, and am allergic to a lot so I would think that you can handle most of these. The best working were the Daytrana, Adderall XR, and Vyvanse, and the Adderall you are taking may be different than what I take(XR) The other Adderall hurt my stomach and made me sick if I didn't eat, but I have no problem with the XR.

got a new dr in may cause old one retired he had me try to up prozac and trouble with that so his asso. had me totally stop the prozac and go on wellbutrin sr 150am and pm,,,,after a week i was having prozac withdrawals so back on prozac i went and still on wellbutrin to be honest i dont know if my depression is something else cause neither brought me up or were stimulating..my new dt thinks i have slight add..anywayas i have been tapering off the prozac 10 mg a week per dr...

I also take testosterone for the last 3 years. Anyway the last few week my anxiety has got worse, and I felt like I did before I got on testosterone. Hi. I am taking Risperdal and 300 mg. effexor xr and 20 mg. Celexa. It has been trial and error but finally with the increase of the effexor xr and addition of Celexa I still have some depression and some mood swings but overall, I am MUCH better.
I took Prozac for many years and really good success, really worked great for me and after several years it lost it's effect on me. Sometimes it it a matter of increasing your present meds. Best of luck to you.
i started taking the generic for adderall 3 d/ ago and i have a sore throat and my tongue is a bit swollen and i developed these lesions.. one on each side of my tongue and its very irritating and a little painful. at the dentist yesterday they told me its wasn't an infection but they thought it was a side effect from unknowingly clenching my teeth, and rubbing against my tongue due to the adderall.
I recently had to switch my add meds from adderall xr to vyvanse and I am on day 2 and I feel like I havnt taken anything. I am extremely tired, have anxiety with everything going on around me at once, and I cant concentrate at all, I walked around my kitchen for 15 minutes not knowing why i wass but knew there was a reason then finally got my car keys that i was needing to get in the first place. Now I would definitely agree with these other advisors due only to the sort of out of control behavior your daughter is exhibiting while taking Adderall. I have been on Adderall XR 20 for 10 years and it has no more effect on me than a strong cup of coffee (of course, since I am sensitive to coffee this has a stronger effect on me than on others) and makes it possible for me to get out of bed, get out of the house, and get things done. But then I am a severely depressed bipolar 2.
I stopped drinking caffeine for a couple of months while taking the wellbutrin and I felt lousey I would hardly smile or cared to do anything, My psychologist said that it seems that I need stimulation so it should help to be on a higher dose of adderall XR, I am wondering if the celexa is to high of a doseage?
so is that dangerous several pharmists have told me lots of people are on adderall prozac and xanx..dr upped the prozac to 20 mg in am and 20 mg at 2 pm....plus when i saw him he said since i was so unhappy about not drinking anymore (its been 2 1/2 years) he said to drink two beers a night and chill and live like i used to happy....for 6 years i drank beer with xaanx and depakote..but im kinda scared about drinking even though i miss it so much and i was the happiest person those years...
adderall is just like speed ,so it make your heart beat fast.some people have had heart problems after being on adderall and some have had strokes and there have also been case where some have died a sudden death. there is also seizures as a side effect from these drugs.
don't know what your doctor was thinking when he gave you the adderall and I would stay away from those drugs.
try getting something that deals with stress and anxiety.
Well 3 failed college attempts and 5 car accidents later, I decided to see a pshycologist for a few appointments and tests and he diagnosed me with ADHD and wanted to prescribe me a stimulant and chose adderall. I tried 10mg IR and 20mg IR, with great success and only mild side effects but they did not last very long maybe 5 hours max, and I have 13-16 hour work days.
No easy answer here. First I assume you mean Adderall XR? Let me know if you don't because the next sentence is about XR. Most Charts list 50mgs as the maximum dose. And weight really has less to do with the dosage then one would think.
