Adderall withdrawal symptoms drug

Common Questions and Answers about Adderall withdrawal symptoms drug

adderall

Avatar f tn This drug is more like a stimulating antidepressant than the pure speed that Adderall is. It doesn't sound like it's addictive as Adderall is, but stopping antidepressants abruptly can lead to severe withdrawal problems so the difference isn't that significant to a user. I wouldn't stop this drug cold turkey, but you've already done that so the question would be, feeling anything weird? Not everyone gets withdrawal problems.
Avatar m tn It could be of the adderall. Im a current addict (i abuse it) of this drug and Im struggling to get off it. Adderall can have many many side effects. If your son keeps having those symptoms try and talk to your doctor.
Avatar f tn Oh god. Geodon has horrible withdrawal symptoms for most people who take it even after a short period of time. I hear it's like trying to come off of hard drugs. If you're lucky you won't have any withdrawal but I'm guessing you are by the nature of your question by asking how long your withdrawal should last. I unfortunately can't answer how long it will last from personal experience but I've heard it can last four weeks.
20919253 tn?1651735373 Whenever the body becomes dependent on opioids, it needs to begin to rely on them, and abruptly discontinuing the drug causes withdrawal symptoms. Patience is defined as the need for a maximum dosage of opioid painkillers over a moment to accomplish the same degree of pain relief. Reliance is the body's response to opioids; this is not the same as addiction.
Avatar f tn are you even experiencing withdrawls. Because, depending on my circumstances (school, work), i will take 15mg of adderall 2 to 3 times daily. months to a year at a time, then stop cold turkey for weeks or months at a time. Ive never really had any withdrawl symtoms serious enough to bother me. Maybe tiredness??? even then it is minimal at worst. What symptoms are you experiencing?
Avatar f tn have been clean from painkillers (due to many surgeries) for almost 2 years now. My question is I've been abusing Adderall 30mg. Only have 4 left before my renewed prescription next month. Does anyone know about the withdrawal symptoms? I'm scared, but am thinking that my clonazepam would help. I have plenty refills on it but don't take it often. Would that help me to get through this. "'m almost 66, widowed and I was taking adderall to keep me busy and "happy?
Avatar m tn I stopped taking my perscription to adderall xr 30mg two weeks ago since my semester at college was over. I was taking this dosage for almost three months. Since I have stopped, I have noticed fatigue in the morning along with a foggy thought process through out the day. Is this normal? And how long does this withdrawl last for?
Avatar m tn I would have been 8 weeks off of the Vicodin as well because I stopped both these drugs at the same time, but I took Vicodin to ease withdrawal symptoms after 14 days off of all drugs, and to my surprise, I didn't feel ANY euphoria from the Vicodin. I still felt the depressing effects of it when I came down from it, but no euphoria AT ALL.
1325193 tn?1450127436 i have a bad history of abusing drugs, and made a mistake of taking adderall. i have had physcs tell me i was adhd. instead of getting tested i went to a friend who gave me 10 15mg ir adderall. i personally dont think i am adhd. But from the first pill, i fell in love. it made me feel incredible. i abused 45 mg a day. Four days ago was my last dose and ever since then i have felt depressed very anxious, and have had crazy dreams.
Avatar n tn It gives you a high, but gives you a big down once it has run through your system. It can also cause ulcers. The good thing about adderall is it is a time released drug, keeping you feeling balanced all day. Good luck and God Bless.
Avatar f tn I've been off of adderall for about 6 days now. I've been very depressed (literally lying on the floor, staring at the ceiling) and somewhat nauseated that entire time. However, I am also 6 weeks pregnant, and I have chronic mild depression anyway. I was using 10-20 mg per day (more than it sounds like, for someone my size) , for about a year. So, how long can I expect the withdrawal symptoms to last, and how much of what I'm experiencing do you think is from withdrawal?
Avatar n tn Taking leave of absence this semester to get well. Doctor put hiim on prozac because easier withdrawal symptoms. Been on it 3 weeks and than asked to get off it (I still think it's the adderall causing problems) We asked her to wean him off . She just took him off completely. Now that you know a little of the med background do you think that is ok just to take him off cold turkey? He had been off the adderall for 5 days befire coming home and looked great....
Avatar f tn For the past 50 days I have been experimenting with adderall I saw the side effects of withdrawal and noticed that it made me lose an unattractive amount of weight as well as me not feeling like me anymore since I’m not a drug user.
Avatar f tn I wanted to get off the medicine because I have been combining it with medical marjuana , alchohol , anti anxiety (Xanax) and shrooms; along with adderall before I was given invega and after. So I believe I am possibly causing damage and being out of balance. I can’t concentrate sometimes and weight gain along with prolactin due to enlarged breast is a concern. Some websites are saying their have been no withdrawals from invega reported. hard finding a psychiatrist for new diagnoses also.
Avatar n tn I've taken Adderall occasionally over the last two years or so (I do not have a prescription, have a couple friends with prescriptions -- please don't give me **** about this!). I'm a sophomore in college and took the drug for studying starting my senior year, then very briefly for a few occasions after that. But in the last month, for some reason I got cravings for it. I didn't associate the cravings with my needs to cram study time like I had before.
Avatar m tn However, each time i go cold turkey i end up dysfunctional for weeks until i relent and go back to it. the withdrawal symptoms are absolutely miserable. I feel as though i am half conscious and all i can do is sleep. i have tried tapering myself off of it but job demands always start interfering and i relapse.
Avatar m tn Yeah that's what I was hoping to hear! I don't like the feeling from the adderall but it helps with the WD symptoms, I'm on Day 3 so I'm just about done with the physical symptoms and then the fun starts! But I can't wait to open up my eyes drug free again very soon!!! I've already saved 800.
Avatar f tn I will say this....Adderall is one nasty drug. It HAS it's purposes, but for those who aren't taking it for those reasons, it can be dicey at best. I no longer have a particular friend in my life due to the psychosis this drug caused her. If a doc has you on it, you'd better talk to him/her before doing anything with it.
Avatar n tn Then the following day is marked by apathy and irritability. Symptoms improve after one day of no Adderall (and a break helps prevent tolerance). Taking Adderall also increases my heart rate, and I feel physically more nervous, despite anxious thoughts not being present. I would like to remain on Adderall, as the treatment for my ADHD has given me a substantial boost in confidence and learning, which has been invaluable and overshadows its negatives.
Avatar f tn KNowing my dad and his history of drug dependency/addiction, I just know he is probably abusing Adderall in addition to Tramadol and got knows what else the stupid doctor will give him. Sometimes when I see him I can tell he has not been to sleep for a day or so. I mentioned the Adderall issue to my stepmother, but I didn't tell her that I knew he was definitely buying them.. I don't know what to do...I want to help but I don't know how.
Avatar f tn 1. Should I expect to experience any slight withdrawal symptoms from the lowering back to 40mg of Vyvanse? 2. Does anyone know what I should expect by going to this 50/50 mis of l-amp and d-amp? Thanks!
Avatar m tn I actually just started the subs but my DOC is a drug called DHC which isn't well known in the US and I don't know if I should let myself get on suboxone for DHC. Most people take sub for Herion or oxy's and I don't really know how DHC compares, although I do take a rather large amount. I just don't want to get in deeper than I already am and deal with having to withdrawal off subs in 3 months to 3 years from now.
1768088 tn?1409087815 m wondering if all that is going on is A)side effects from adderall B)possible withdrawal symptoms or detoxing from concerta since she's Moody and head & stomach hurt and is pale and clammy and just doesn't feel good (in the past I was dependant on opioids so I know all to well how withdrawal can feel) or C)emotional and mood issues worsening from ADHD not being under proper control. I know to expect some side effects with medication changes. We've been there. Done that.
Avatar f tn I am bipolar, and I have taken Klonopin (clonozopam) for years...current dosage is 5mg per day as needed. Sometimes I have needed it for several days in a row, and then not for 3 or 4 days, sometimes longer. As I have aged, my bipolar has become unmanageble just by the Klonopin and lowering my stress. Last June I had a breakdown and I was out of state a a physician I went to put me on seroquel, lexapro, and vyvanse....along with my klonopin.
Avatar f tn hey girlee...well when I detoxed I couldn't even tolerate coffee cause of the anxiety ...you might want to give the aderril a rest for the next few days....its hard to say ..it has its own set of withdrawals so you might be setting yourself up for disaster by not taking it I would give it a try without ..if you start to feel worst you can always go ahead and take it later on...it is a stimulant and they usually only make the anxiety worst ....good luck and God bless...
