If you speaking about drinking frequently then you are not only not helping yourself but you are putting your mental and physical health in danger. Vyvanse is metabolized differently, so could last longer in your system. It was done so you could not snort it like you can with Adderall. Adderall gives a stronger first "hit". V is smoother and takes longer to take effect so may not be as noticeable. Also the Dose of V should be 30mg compared to 10mgs of adderall XR to be somewhat equal.

I would have your friend ask the doc to be switched to Dexedrine instead of Adderall. Dexedrine has way fewer side effects and is much smoother. Regular Adderall poops out With in 4 hours and makes for a hard crash and mood swings. 18mgs is acually a pretty low dosage for her to act that way.

I'm on Adderall 10 mg tab (not XR) 2x daily for my ADHD but it seems really weak, especially in the morning. I'm also taking generic Zoloft at 75 mg a day in the morning with breakfast simultaneously with the Adderall. Also, I've been on Adderall before without Zoloft and it seemed to be more effective, though I was on a 15mg morning regimen.When I take the Adderall in the morning with I barely feel a difference, except a very minor dry mouth.

WOW a adderall person. I was snorting the adderall with my 12 yr methedone. although I did not start the ad until the last three years. I went c/t from it all plus the benzo. Was not a fun ride. Just because someone does adderall, it doesn't mean they are going to do meth.
