Concerta, 30mg Adderall IR, and 30mg Adderall XR. Concerta gave me migraines. Adderall XR completely sucked. Adderall IR was the best medication that I found until Vyvanse. Now I think Adderall is horrible in comparison.
I've been taking 30mg of Vyvanse for a few months now. This has been my adjusted dose from trying 20mg, 30mg, and 50mg. 50mg was wayy too much at the time. 30mg was perfect until about a month ago. It lasted about 12 hours, a huge improvement over 4 hours of Adderall IR.

I have these & I can't take it anymore...the rubbing of my tongue on the roof of my mouth & teeth due to the Adderall IR & XR...If I recall correctly, it all started when I switched from Adderall to the generic. Has anyone gotten any feedback to this problem?
m probably going to stay on the adderall xr and maybe see if I can get 1 or 2 adderall ir to add to my day. It says they last 4-6 hrs. I might see what they think about strattera and focalin because I am ADHD combined but have a big problem with the add side and some of the symptoms of the adhd side.
It's basically the same as a Red Bull and all energy drinks. NOT a relevant solution or replacement for Adderall. Generic IR Adderall isn't expensive at all and is called mixed amphetamine salts or amphetamine, dextroamphetamine mixed salts. Something like less than a dollar per pill.
Something that you really need to be aware of is that toxic symptoms and signs of overdose can happen even with low dosage milligrams. Popping Adderall every couple of hours will only exacerbate side effects because they are usually intended as extended release capsules/caplets, to be used only once daily. I have a hunch the nausea is from a combination of eating less due to appetite suppression and a dosage of adderall that is too high, since I let my tolerance build back up? My bowel changes started when I started the new 20 mg XR. My main curiosity is if it affects my digestion like that, is it giving my body time to absorb nutrients from food and supplements. I guess can take my supplements 1 hr before Adderall or at QHS, which is one solution.
But also note when it is happening. Are you on an extended release Adderall or the IR? Because an XR will release an amount several times during the day which you might be responding to. But, I would look at other factors first. How long does the dizzy effect last? What are you doing just before it happens?
t know how to help them so the psychiatrist just continues giving it to them along with adderall. They say they have ADHD and that is why they need adderall. However, I am very suspicios of this as well because they use to also be addicted to cocaine, and I know adderall can give you a high similar to cocaine. I was recently prescribed Adderall IR 10mgs, and the weird thing is, I can breathe so much better. I notice this because after it wears off, I can tell that my breathing has gone back to being a bit difficult. I don't like taking the Adderall all the time, but it seems to have this excellent side effect.
When I research this on Google, the majority of articles are about Adderall and shallow breathing, but I have the exact opposite effect--I can breathe better, deeper and more efficiently.
ive had a serious head injury in 2003 and have impacted wisdom teeth. i've been prescribed adderall IR (not XR sorry) few months before the head injury and adderall worked fine. could be physiological as one psych RN told me. Vyvanse should last close to 10+ hours. If it does not, its an underdose. Adderall IR lasts 4 to 6 hours and XR 8 to 10 hours.
The big question is when is the misbehaving happening? This would give you an idea of (if it is an overdose) when to adjust the medication.
Also keep in mind that lack of sleep can really effect a child. Also, just school pressure can do the same.
They are allowed to have different fillers etc. Up to 20 % diierence from main ingredients. I take generic adderall IR. My pharmacy usually gives me generic by corepharma. Just once had (or gave it to me cause of my complaints) generic by another manufacturer where I didnt have all the side affects and worked much better. I found out its more exspensive so pharmacy doesnt have it often. Anybody can help with what are my rights to get the generic that works?

I'm a 31 year old male and I was recently prescribed Adderall IR 10mg for ADD. The Psychiatrist told me to take two pills a day, as each pill gets out of your system within/around 4 hours. I noticed upon taking the first pill on the first day around 9am, I didn't feel it wearing off until the early evening, so I wasn't about to take another.
