i've been taking zyban for three weeks now and have been experiencing lots of side effects like having nightmares e.t.c the worst experience so far has been with alcohol. i'm not a big drinker but when i have one pint of beer i seem to experiencing feelings like i have had many. Can this drug effect what alcohol does to your body and could it effect police breatherliser devices as i'm worried to drive on this drug?

Zyban is the same as Wellbutrin which is a commonly prescribed antidepressant and is an NDRI meaning norepinephrine and dopamine reuptake inhibitor. So basically the concept of the medication is that when you quit smoking you quit getting your regular dopamine fix (the brain rewards you for smoking a cigarette by releasing dopamine which makes you feel good.) The zyban, over the course of a few weeks, stops your body from breaking down the natural dopamine in your brain as quickly.

Are you sure it was Zoloft and not Zyban? I was prescribed Zyban to help me quit smoking and it worked very well. Its generic name is Wellbutrin, which is an anti-depressant, but a side effect of it is that it decreases the need or craving for nicoteen.

I took Zyban to quit smoking many years ago, and I took it for a couple weeks before I knew I was pregnant. The pregnancy was enough to keep me from starting again, and since I wasn't taking it for it's use as an antidepressant my Dr. wanted me to stop taking it. My Doctor is working with me and helping me in any way he can. I have ADHA and use to take Adderall daily. I asked my doc if I could get back on it while taking Suboxone and he said yes and perscribed it to me again. My question is if I should be taking these two meds together or not? I know my doc perscribed them to me but I can't help but question if it's ok. Does anyone have any takes on this? I am taking 8mg Sub 2x daily and 30mg Adderall 2x daily right now.

t know if I should start taking this drug if it is dangerous for me when combining pot and bupropion. I am 17 and 130 lbs if that would help for anything and am taking a dosage of 150 mg of bupropion. I just want to make sure nothing dangerous will happen if I do smoke, or how much I can smoke, or if there is anything I can do to lower risk of danger like not taking the drug on the days I smoke.

i am on adderall xr and zoloft 50mg and it is makin me very sick.i am starving every 2 hrs my moods have me very angry..i have diarea and nasea....i have just switched from celea and adderall to the zoloft...what can i take for depression with my adderall that wnt make me sick?

ve been on since January and I stopped it 3-4weeks ago and there is still some tenderness. But in addition I was put on adderall about 1-1.5 months before that. Is it possible that the culprit is really the amphetamine and not the propecia ?? Thanks for your help.

She had been on Adderall for ADHD, went into a hypermanic event and was involuntarily committed for treatment. After her release she went back to her original Psychiatrist who again prescribed Adderall for her. Is Adderall ever used for bipoplar disorder. Everything I have read says no. How can I convince her Dr. to not prescribe it anymore? Please help us.

I've been prescribed adderall for the past 4 years, I currently take 75mg per day. A couple months ago my Dr. started me on strattera in conjunction with my adderall. I have not noticed any improvement in my ability to concentrate or remain organized since starting the strattera, however my anxiety is gone and I am finally happy. A couple weeks ago my Dr. left and I was given a "temp" to take her place.

I need to quit smoking (again) I am currently on Rebif and Zyban (which I took last time I quit) is a big "no no" as well are the other drugs my neuro knew of. Does anyone know of a "safe" drug to take while on Rebif in order to quit?

ve had weekly checkups to monitor my dosage and my doctor and I have slowly worked up to 30 mg of adderall a day (20mg XR AM and 10 IR PM). Since that first week I've been feeling TIRED when taking my adderall and don't think it's working very well anymore.

I currently take 60mg Adderall XR once a day and recently my Dr. added Celexa 20mg once a day..Anyone have any experience with that combination?I noticed yesterday for about five minutes my hearing wasnt as good..then that went back to normal..this is after adding the celexa..Adderall never did this..I also now have diarrhea where with only the Adderall I only went once a week...but Adderall makes me not hungry at all...not till after 6 pm..

HI, i recently started wellbutrin i have never taken it before but I have taken zyban to quit smoking and I had no side effects and according to the bottle they seem the be the same thing (generic wise), I have also started a low carb diet very recently.. The problem I want to talk about is something Ive had for a while but since starting wellbutrin it seems worse. I have a burning full feeling on my upper left abdomen just below my ribs.

My daughter is very competetive in track and just stared taking adderall for her ADD. Will the adderall slow her running down? She is very concerned.

anyways i then stop the medication, which i had no problem stopping at all since i slowly went from two 20 mg of adderall a day for each 8 hours class in the morning and night. To one pill and day, to one pill every other day, till nothing at all. SO don't think it's like taking (CRACK COCAINE) and almost impossible to stop.

I also was on Wellbutrin without Xanax for a few months and it did nothing for my anxiety....and I was not depressed...the shrink put me on that for anxiety only. It did NOT work for me. I'm sure everyone is different. Good luck!

I've been taking adderall for about 10 years now, and I've always had problems with my voice, specifically the volume of my voice. Especially when I take an extra tablet, the next day my voice is breathy and hoarse. Do you think this has to do with adrenal burnout? Or could it be LPR (silent reflux)? I worry the Adderall is altering stomach acid PH? which might be causing my lower esophageal sphincter to get stuck open, causing pepsin leakage into throat?

I was a healthy energetic 30yo before I started taking adderall. I discontinued taking it and I did start back on it and it didn't help with my pain, but actually gave me severe headaches and mild seizures. I'm glad it's helping you though. At least you're getting relief from your symptoms someway.
