I have been taking Adderall for over a year and have the same experiences. Doctors couldn't figure out what was wrong and didn't think it was a connection with the medicine (which is crazy.) When I stopped taking it, the symptoms went away but I did experience withdrawals for a while.

Yes, it has been a constant feeling from morning to night for the last 9 months. I've been to 4 doctors about this and they just don't seem to have a clue. I'm sent out the office feeling discourage each time. My boyfriend recently told me that I may have ADD, which it never occurred to me that ADD could cause physical symptoms. Makes sense to me, although I should probably get a clinical diagnosis instead just assuming.

I've been taking adderall for about 10 years now, and I've always had problems with my voice, specifically the volume of my voice. Especially when I take an extra tablet, the next day my voice is breathy and hoarse. Do you think this has to do with adrenal burnout? Or could it be LPR (silent reflux)? hi, concerta ,and stratara, and all the others my doc put me on didn't come close to adderall. focalin worked to but was costly. adderall leavels your brain, and lets you be yourself. the way your supose to be.

I am 22 years old, I was diagnosed with ADD then ADHD as a child. I quit taking Ritalin and Concerta after Elementary school if not before. I am in College now and my little brother(18) had 30 mg Adderall. So I asked him if I could take one every Tuesday and Thursday before class. So last Thursday 2/11/10 was the very first pill I took.And gah did I feel great, I was focused in on my classes etc.

So when the naysayers respond with "anyone who takes Adderall will work better, faster and get a lot more done regardless of whether they have ADD", is that true or not? I don't believe I suffered from it as a child though.

I am a 48 yr old female diagnosed with recurring severe depression. When I am not taking my meds, I am tired, can sleep all day, am completely unmotivated to do anything and do not want to socialize with anyone. I have tried several different meds and am currently taking Celexa and Adderall XR. My psy says that adding the Adderall will "kick in the Celexa" and make it work better. I had a mild form of cataplexy. I didn't even know I had it until I started the Xyrem! I used to take adderall but my blood pressue started going up. The difference is that while the Xanax really helps for the anxiety, it is not treating the cause of the anxiety. That is what the adderall is doing. Of course, not positive on that - but anxiety is a very strong co-disorder of adhd. And, I feel it is even stronger in adult undiagnosed adhd. So if you are now treating the possible cause of your anxiety - then that is good. And, I have seen this reported many times with adults.

I am to the point where I take the ADHD stimulants, (VYVANSE - 70 mgX1 or 2, or 3 during the day) and/or Adderall. This is obvious signs of drug addiction/dependency/abuse. I know. Again - Without ADHD medications or antidepressants I still feel as terrible as I do while taking the ADHD medications. Have you done any studies regarding neurotoxicity of adderall and does it affect the motor neurons of the CNS? Are muscle fasciculations a sign of neurotoxicity? I know most fasciculations are benign, but I am worried about the effect that adderall has on the neurons of the body and if it can lead to overstimulation and exhaustion of the neuron. Do you have any knowledge regarding these SPECIFIC issues? Thank You for your time.

ve got a good link (if I can find it) on what happens if you treat the seratonin side stronger then the norepinephrine side and the effects. Got a feeling that this may be what is going on with you. Did you always have trouble sleeping and anxiety - or did it get worse with the different meds?

I have found help and I have stopped taking adderall in the evening. I think it really comes down to the fact that I must kick my marijuana habits and I have taken steps to do so. Once I am smoking less regularly I will take steps to slowly get off the adderall completely.

Adderall snorted is almost like cocaine. Sometimes if i couldn't get coke I'd get some adderall. It's serious, it should be taken seriously. if she's crushing it up and snorting it then she's flooding the reward center of her brain with dopamine and noradrenaline. Seriously a set up to exacerbate ADD and induce depression. If you think she's abusing maybe you should try and get her to see a psychiatrist about it.

I don't want to discredit the advice of the above post. You should take the utmost of care with any drug you ingest. Using drugs recklessly and carelessly can lead to lots of bad things, including your own death. However, I think that we should all be careful about the way we talk and think about drugs. To say that a drug shouldn't be used because a doctor hasn't written you a prescription is a bit myopic.
