Last June I had a breakdown and I was out of state a a physician I went to put me on seroquel, lexapro, and vyvanse....along with my klonopin. This seemed to be working, then he added Adderall and I was amazed at this. I felt "normal" for the first time in 30 years. I could think straight, and as time has gone by the depression has gone. I take 30 mg of this a day. Recently, since the insurance said they would not pay for Vyvanse and Adderall the Dr.
I have tried klonopin, ativan, ambien cr, tonight for instance i took 1 ambien 4 1/2 mg of ativan and 1 1/2 mg of klonopin and i am wide awake. Not quit sure the difference between adderall and benzo's. I used to be on ridilin and now am on dexedrin which are both uppers but have sleep side affects that are supposed to make you sleepy . I am at my whits end. sorry not really much of an advice more than a comment and trying to learn what other people are trying.
I KNOW both Adderall and Klonopin can be prescribed together because I have been on that protocol for many years. However, my "new" medical center patently is "refusing" to prescribe them to me in combination (despite years of documented responsible use).
I am diagnosed with both ADD and particularly crippling anxiety disorder (resulting from the suffocation / murder of my mother that I was minutes away from preventing but failed).
I want to detox off of opiates for pain due to injuries. As for the adderall and klonopin; these will have to wait. One drug at a time when tapering. After my body adjusts, then reassessment for continuation of remaining medications. The medication I have taken were prescribed to me and at the time were necessary. Now, after many years, it is apparent that the opiates became a problem...........my issue of abuse.
Then, about 2 ½ years ago I had a near-psychotic meltdown, mostly about the devil and evil spirits, and was diagnosed with OCD and prescribed Anafranil and Zyprexa, which helped with the irrational thinking and obsessive thoughts a little. Between now and then, I have been diagnosed with OCD, Social anxiety disorder, GAD, major depressive disorder, ADHD, and most recently, aspergers/high functioning autism.
i was on xanx for 17 years it worked great aftet stopping it cold turkey in 07 i hVEnt been teh same...was put on both klonopin and ativan they helped some but klonopin made me more depressed and ativan was the cause of year of dizziness..so in march dr put me back on xanax up to 6 mg a day...i dont take that much but maybe i need to ..
I am taking adderall as apart of my treatment with bipolar and adhd. I also take neurotin 3xs a day and klonopin 3x's a day. I was just wondering has anyone taken adderall and ritilan and was there a big difference in the 2? I only ask because my insurance doesn't cover the adderall but it does ritilan. I really don't want to mess with my medication regime but if there isn't a huge difference in the 2 then finacially.....
At that point I was taking Klonopin and Adderall still. My doctor tested my TSH and my Free T3 levels because he was concerned about the weight loss.
The results came back with a TSH of 1.18 (.34-4.82) and a Free T3 of 4.47 (2.50-4.30).
So here's the thing. I have had they symptoms of hyperthyroid for a long time. It is the main reason I was taking pain medication. At a point while I was taking the pain medication I had these same tests done and they came back normal.
I have been taking Adderall for several years and I will admit that the pills put me in a "hypomanic" position BUT they allow me to get things done. I have a highly depressive form of BP and rarely ever go into any mania (my natural mania consists mostly of obsessive thoughts) so I just lie in bed most days.
I also take Klonopin 1mg for anxiety and sleep, it helps to take the edge off the jitters that Adderall causes. I'm gonna ask him for something more "gentle" maybe Dexedrine XR
Yesterday, I skipped the Adderall and had a totally worthless day (was Sunday anyway) but also felt more depressed then usual.
when u say 1 suboxone...how many mgs rthey...and the klonopin..is it 0.5, 1 mg? klonopin can not be stopped ct...the sub dr u r seeing should help u taper off the sub....vyvanse is essentially an amphetamine but not intended to be as addicting as other amphetamines and developed in a way to make it less likely to be abused...this drug is mentally addicting..but sposedly not as bad as ritilin or adderall..Vyvanse is often used for depression as well as ADD

I CURRENTLY TAKE HYDROCODONE FOR BACK PAIN AND KLONOPIN OCCASIONLY FOR ANXIETY IS IT SAFE TO BE TAKEN ALL THESE MEDS AT THE SAME TIME AND IS THIS NEW MED FOR ADHD SAFE.I AM TAKEN 10 MGS TWICE DAILY OF THE ADHD MED AND 1 AND 1/2 OF THE HYDROCODONE DAILY AND MAYBE A QUARTER OF A KLOPIN EVERY OTHER DAY.
hi i have been on prozac and xanax since march 3 2010.my dr added adderall for refractory depression a little over a week ago,,,,i can tell not much difference....and im still having the slow unsteady walk from before the addderall...does anyone know how long it will take the adderall to help my depression,,,he is usinfg it off label....
m prescribed effexor, gabapentin, klonapin, adderall, and naltrexone. I do drink, though the naltrexone has helped. If I over-indulge, I can get kind of crazy. So I have to stop that. I am not bi-polar, although that seems to be what the doctor thinks since he keeps upping my dose of gabapentin. He recently told me to stop taking the adderall entirely which seem a little risky since I was on 50mg's and just recently was dropped to 30.
so if i dont take the adderall and xanax at the same time of day the adderall will work better?
You really need to be on the website that deals with anxiety and depression. This site really deals with ADHD and there is always the ongoing debate of medication or not for ADHD. Nobody has the experience to tell you how to deal with anxiety and depression. I have seen the combination you have mentioned in literature so I know its not unusual. But that's about all I can tell you. I would trust your doctor.
You need to be removed....this is a site to get people off of drugs and if that person lost someone to w/ding off of adderall then that's what it is. Aderrall is a beast and in this case its not being used correctly. Not to mention klonopin and sub's and alcohol....maybe a reality check IS EXACTLY what this person needs. Oh yeah, and Ambien....
Prozac and Paxil both significantly block the pathway for the metabolism of Adderall and all the amphetamine products. [Wellbutrin and Cymbalta are moderate inhibitors, and can block 2D6 at higher doses.] If you take either of these two antidepressants together with an amphetamine, beware. You can significantly become overdosed on the amphetamine and suffer significant arousal side effects. Often this interaction can unpredictably occur several months later.
GREAT advice! I'll reiterate what she said about not going back on tramadol and not trying Kratom. It has a high addiction as well. It's hard to believe that something natural could do that, but it can. I promise. I've never tried it, but I've read alot about it being abused. Dangerous stuff and shaky ground. If you truly don't want to get back on narcotics, stay away from the stuff. No tramadol. No kratom. No vicodin. No upping the klonopin. No NOTHING!
He was diagnosed with bipolar and then also with ADHD he takes risperdal for bipolar and adderall for adhd. The adderall has been wonderful it really helped a lot the risperdal i am not so sure as he still gets very angry and aggressive he has also been recently diagnosed with social anxiety disorder.
